Generation NXT - NXT recap for July 1, 2025

Trick Williams guests on commentary for the next match.

Joe Hendry beats Wes Lee after Mike Santana takes out Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe for getting involved in the match.

In backstage footage from earlier today, Sol Ruca and Zaria tell a distraught Tatum Paxley that they were keeping her from doing something that she would regret in joining Izzi Dame, but Izzi Dame shows up and tells her not to listen to them.

Luca Crusifino heads to the ring and asks Tony D'Angelo to join him. D'Angelo shows up, feeling as if Crusifino has been against him for the past month. Crusifino says that he sacrificed a lot out of loyalty to D'Angelo and to be in WWE, and that he has never doubted him. Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo shows up and thanks Crusifino, and Crusifino tells Stacks to shut up, saying this is between him and D'Angelo before punching D'Angelo. When Stacks laughs, Crusifino punches him, too. Crusifino then says "Luca Crusifino's loyalty lies with Luca Crusifino."

Backstage, Kelly Kincaid interviews Oba Femi. He wants to see Jasper Troy and Yoshiki Inamura destroy each other, then Inamura and Josh Briggs show up, with Inamura saying he will show Oba Femi tenacity. Oba Femi says that he is the hunter, not the hunted, and that he will watch to see who wins between Inamura and Jasper. Inamura tells him that he will not be waiting long.

George Gumbs Jr. and Tyreek Saps from the University of Florida Gators are seen in the front row.

Myles Borne beats Lexis King.

We hear from DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Saquon Shugars, Osiris Griffin). They state that NXT has been chaotic ever since they show up, and that thins only happen because they allow it. They state that they will take out anyone who gets caught lacking.

Lainey Reid beats Thea Hail after grabbing the bottom rope for leverage.

Backstage, No Quarter Catch Crew (Charlie Dempsey, Tavion Heights, Wren Sinclair) talk. Tavion Heights wants the same out from the group as Myles Borne. Dempsey gives him the match, but if Heights loses, he will not get another chance.

We hear from Jasper Troy, who says that everyone fears Oba Femi, yet Oba Femi did not look unbeatable facing him. He says that he will beat Inamura and that Oba Femi's destiny will be his.

Izzi Dame and Tatum Paxley beat Sol Ruca and Zaria after Tatum saves Izzi from a Spear by Zaria.

Backstage, General Manager meets with Ricky Saints, "All Ego" Ethan Page and The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor, "The Smoke Show" Ricky Smokes, Jackson Drake). Ethan Page says he will be dictating whatever happens with the North American title from now, and gives Starks a shot if he can survive the "Vanity Project Gauntlet." Starks says he has no problem with this, and that if he wins, he will dictate the stipulation for their title rematch. Ava makes it official.

At Chase University, Andre Chase apologizes to Kale Dixon and Uriah Connors. He admits tough love is all he knows and that he is open to learning new tricks. He tells Kale Dixon that he got him a singles match, and that he will be better if they allow it. Kale and Connors accept his apology.

Backstage, Kelly Kincaid interviews Joe Hendry and Mike Santana. Santana admits that they are opponents, even though they are united in defending TNA. After Hendry agrees, Santana says that he will be taking the TNA title home. Hendry says he will become champion again.

Backstage, Josh Briggs hypes Yoshiki Inamura before his match.

Backstage, The Culling (Shawn Spears, Niko Vance, Izzi Dame) and Tatum Paxley celebrate their victory when General Manager Ava shows up and announces that Izzi Dame will face Sol Ruca for the Women's North American Championship. Suddenly, Hank Williams and Tank Ledger show up and confront The Culling, and security has to step in. Tatum defends The Culling, and dares Hank and Tank to defend their titles next week, which Ava makes official.

Yoshiki Inamura beats Jasper Troy to become #1 contender to the NXT Championship. After the match, Inamura has a staredown with Oba Femi as Je'Von Evans suddenly shows up and takes out Jasper Troy with a top rope cutter.

Jordynne Grace heads to the ring. Jordynne admits that getting to this point was the hardest thing she has ever done, but last week reminded her that she thrives under pressure, and the bigger the struggle, the greater the win. She says that she is going to make history among the best women's wrestlers in the world, but to do that, she has to be something she is terrified of being: vulnerable. Jordynne questions if she is really good enough to be here and if she belongs in WWE, even after doing everything she had to do to get her and become someone that could not be ignored. As she says that she will beat Jacy Jayne and remind herself of who she is, The Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, Jazmyn Nyx) shows up. Jacy asks Jordynne if she is done with her sob story and says that Jordynne will never carry the women's division like she can, then says Jordynne will never beat her for the NXT Women's Championship. She says that Jordynne is like Blake Monroe in that she thinks she can walk in and have everyone bow down , but The Fatal Influence will remind her of where she stands. Jordynne says Jacy's title win shocked the world, then Jacy goes for a cheap shot only for Jordynne to block and fire back. The numbers game catches up to Jordynne until Blake Monroe shows up and makes the save, then General Manager Ava shows up and pits Fallon Henley and Jacy Jayne against Jordynne Grace and Blake Monroe at The Great American Bash. This leads to both teams brawling only for Jordynne and Blake to come out on top quickly to end the show.
