Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for July 28, 2020

Eddie Edwards retains the Impact World Championship against Trey Miguel. After the match, Eric Young shows up, and Eddie dares him to get in the ring with him. Eric Young refuses, saying he will do it on his time and that Eddie's fate will be decided by him.

We see the first episode of Wrestle House. Taya Valkyrie tries to leave the house, but Rosemary makes it so she cannot by changing the exit to her house into an exit to Hell with Abyss at the door. Taya asks what is going on, and Rosemary says "Don't ask us. It's not our house." Cody Deaner questions where everyone is, then Alisha Edwards realizes this is a reality show. Crazzy Steve mentions the camera room. Tommy Dreamer then shows up out of nowhere, saying this is his house and he is the host. Taya asks how long she has to be here, and Rosemary says "As long as it takes."

Back on Wrestle House, everyone is fighting when Susie says arguments are bad and that everyone should call a truce. XXXL and The Deaners call a truce after Johnny Swinger proposes that they bow Mr. Fuji-style, and Cousin Jake is the most reluctant of the four. When Taya Valkyrie asks why everyone is here, Tommy Dreamer mentions that everyone has an opportunity to win one million dollars. The only person not enthused about this is Rosemary, who mentions is not true. After Tommy Dreamer mentions that the house is an investment property in Chattanooga, Tennessee, everyone tries to claim a room, with Crazzy Steve and Acey Romero suddenly in wrestling gear when they fight over who gets to sleep in the ring after Tommy Dreamer declares it is match time. This starts a match between the two men where the winner gets to sleep in the ring, with Kylie Rae as special guest referee.

On Wrestle House, Acey Romero beats Crazzy Steve with a sleeper hold. As per pre-match stipulation, Acey Romero gets to sleep in the wrestling ring.

Backstage, TJP and Fallah Bahh are talking when Rohit Raju shows up. TJP and Fallah Bahh demand he wear a mask and socially distance, then Rohit Raju proposes TJP face Chris Bey for the X Division Championship. TJP is reluctant at first, but likes the idea. Rohit Raju looks for Chris Bey, then finds him and tells him that TJP was talking about coming after the X Division Championship and that he will have his back in case of Fallah Bahh. Chris Bey says that if he has a target on his back, then anyone can shoot their shot, and that Rohit Raju will be right there with him.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Ace Austin and Madman Fulton. Austin says that he has a problem with two new guys getting in his ring only to cheap shot him when he extends his hand to get attention and make a statement at their expense. Ace says that The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) have their attention as well as that of Reno Scum (Adam Thornstowe and Luster the Legend).

We see a video package for The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley).

We hear from The North ("All Ego" Ethan Page and "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander). Ethan Page is at a loss for words, and Josh Alexander says he cannot blame him as they are the best team in Impact history but are now missing the tag team titles. He says that they are as smart in the ring as they are talented and that they will have their rematch, as they are not done and it is only a matter of time until they get their titles back. Ethan Page tries to speak, but cannot.

This week's Impact Plus Flashback Moment of the Week is The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) vs. Beer Money ("The Cowboy" James Storm and Bobby Roode) for the vacant TNA World Tag Team Championships at Victory Road 2010.

Backstage, Katie Forbes shows Rob Van Dam her new photos and says they will break the Internet. RVD agrees.

We hear from Ethan Carter III, who says that he has made Impact Wrestling history with a victim list a mile long full of Impact Hall of Famers before saying the road that brought him here is one he has to go back to and decimate brick by brick. He says that the history is written by the victors and that the victors are pathological liars, and says that everything he had to do to get back makes him sick, as everything he had to do was at the expense of his soul. He says his past is his biggest foe and that he must decimate his past to create his future and take back the power, and to take back the power, he must control his narrative.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Moose, who boasts about his win against Fallah Bahh from last week before saying he is the most dominant champion in Impact history. As Moose is about to propose another invitation, he mentions that Ethan Carter III does not get one because he does not want to conquer his narrative just yet. Suddenly, Heath shows up with a piece of paper in his hand. Moose reminds him that he is not a contracted wrestler, but Heath says he begs to differ. Moose tells Heath he gets his invitation next week, then Scott D'Amore shows up. Scott D'Amore, having seen how he handled Moose and conned him into a match and noticing that his contract is not legitimate, makes the match official and tells Heath that if he beats Moose, he will open up a spot on the roster for him.

Deonna Purrazzo beats Kimber Lee with the Fujiwara arm bar. After the match, Jordynne Grace shows up with her left arm in a sling, then gets in the ring and takes her sling off before attacking her.

Backstage, Katie Forbes run into Sami Callihan, thinking he is a fan a she tells him to go look on her website. Sami says "Website? I'm sure the link's in her bio."

We see another vignette for a masked wrestler. The name "Brian Myers" is on the back of the wrestler's jacket.

On Wrestle House, Crazzy Steve takes Johnny Swinger up on his offer to bunk with him and become his "young boy." Meanwhile, The Deaners (Cody Deaner and Cousin Jake) argue over Cousin Jake's snoring, then Tommy Dreamers wakes up from their bed and declares it is match time. Dreamer says the match will happen in the morning. After an animated scene of a rooster crowing, The Deaners have a match with Alisha Edwards as special guest referee.

On Wrestle House, Cousin Jake beats Cody Deaner in a Loser Leaves Room Match, then both men call a truce. As per pre-match stipulation, Cousin Jake gets the basement bedroom. After the match, Cody Deaner sees an RV and says "That'll do."

Backstage, Sami Callihan catches up with Ken Shamrock, demanding an explanation. Shamrock is at a loss for words and says he will not know when he keeps his back. As Shamrock leaves, Katie Forbes shows up and tells Rob Van Dam that Sami was creeping on her. RVD tells Sami to keep his distance, and Sami says "You're right...you never even saw me." RVD and Katie leave.

Rob Van Dam and Katie Forbes show up. Katie says she is excited to be herself again, and says that people normally pay to see her on her website, but tonight, everyone gets to see it for "Free-99." After telling the parents to put the kids to bed, the photos then show up with Sami's head on them. Sami is heard mocking Katie Forbes throughout the photo package, and Katie Forbes is furious afterwards.

At the treehouse, Dezmond Xavier mentions that Trey Miguel is outside and not feeling good after coming short of winning the World title, then mentions that he has invited Suicide to the treehouse, saying he is "a Power Ranger." Zachary Wentz mentions that Suicide is not a Power Ranger, then Suicide appears. Dez mentions that even though he cannot talk, he knows what's up, and after smoke comes out of Suicide's mask, Wentz and Suicide get high and Dez has no idea what is going on. After Wentz leaves the treehouse to tell everyone, Suicide - now with the munchies - tries to eat through his mask as Dez feels he made a huge mistake.

Next week: Chris Bey and Rohit Raju vs. TJP and Fallah Bahh! Heath vs. Moose for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship! A sit-down interview with The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley)! Eddie Edwards defends the World title!

We hear from Rich Swann, who is devastated to have had the opportunity to challenge for the Impact World Championship only for Eric Young to go off the rails and take away his opportunity and change his life as he knows it. He says that doctors are saying too many things for him to stomach right now, but he will address everything next week.

The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) beat Reno Scum (Adam Thornstowe and Luster the Legend). After the match, Luster tries to attack The Good Brothers following the distraction by Ace Austin, but The Good Brothers send him out of the ring. Austin distracts again, this time allowing Madman Fulton to strike from behind. This leads to a tag team brawl that goes backstage and then outside to the parking lot, and the camera malfunctions after Doc Gallows boots Madman Fulton into the cameraman, ending the show.
