Slammiversary 2020 - The Results

The show begins with a news bulletin that Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson have been signed to Impact Wrestling, and that a former World Champion will make their return. They mystery opponent in the World title match is still a mystery.



The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) are revealed as having answered The Rascalz' (Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz) open challenge.

Taya Valkyrie tells John E. Bravo that tonight is the night she gets closer to becoming Knockouts Champion, and tells him not to screw things up, as she has to win. Taya leaves, then Rosemary shows up and tells John E. Bravo that she has to win.

Moose retains the TNA World Heavyweight Championship against Tommy Dreamer in an Old School Rules Match after slamming Dreamer's face into tacks that Dreamer had introduced into the match.



Backstage, Johnny Swinger shows up in a rental Jaguar, then tells Gia Miller to park his car.

Kylie Rae beats John E. Bravo (as Taya Valkyrie), Tasha Steelz, Susie, Katie Forbes, Havok, John E. Bravo (as Rosemary), Alisha Edwards, Nevaeh, Kiera Hogan, Kimber Lee, Rosemary and Taya Valkyrie in a Knockouts Gauntlet Match to become #1 contender for the Impact Knockouts Championship. During the match, John E. Bravo shows up at #3 dressed like Taya Valkyrie, but Steelz and Kylie Rae almost immediately eliminate him. Bravo shows up again dressed as Rosemary and eliminates Havok, but is eliminated immediately afterwards by Kylie Rae.



Heath Slater - fresh out of WWE - shows up from out of nowhere and grabs a microphone. He says he sees a vacant slot for the Impact World Championship, and wants in on the action. He says he is a new Heath and that he came to Impact to make an impact before Rohit Raju shows up. Rohit Raju tells Heath that he missed the good parts of the show and that he will be nowhere near the World title because he has put in the work and has yet to get an opportunity for it, and he will not let Heath get a shot before him. Rohit says that the last time Heath was in a World title match, it did not last long. Heath asks "What are you trying to say?" Rohit Raju attacks him, but Slater fights back.

Chris Bey beats Willie Mack with a springboard cutter to become the Impact X Division Champion!



Backstage, Heath Slater reunites with Rhino, and Scott D'Amore shows up to remind Slater that he does not work here and that he has to leave due to the place being a closed set. Rhino tells Heath he will straighten things out and to meet with him on Tuesday.

The North ("All Ego" Ethan Page and "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander) retain the Impact World Tag Team Championships against Ken Shamrock and Sami Callihan. After the match, Page says nobody asked for The North's comments when they reached a year as champions and nobody wanted to hear about how they dominated the entire tag team division. Alexander talks about how he looked into the camera a year ago and said he and Page would rewrite history only to be laughed at in the back, then asks who is laughing now. Page says The North is the greatest team in Impact history, then The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) show up. Shelley congratulates The North, but says that The North still have yet to reinvent the wheel, and Sabin says that the best don't have to constantly remind everyone how great they are. Sabin then mentions that he and Shelley have a match against The North for the tag team titles on Tuesday, and on that night, they will find out who is the greatest.



Backstage, Gia Miller tries to get a word with Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, but ends up running into Rich Swann. While he finds it disappointing Willie Mack lost tonight, he also has his eyes on the Impact World Championship. He says that when he gets medically cleared, he will have his eyes on the World title.

Deonna Purrazzo beats Jordynne Grace with a double arm bar to become Impact Knockouts Champion!

The mystery opponent in the World title match is revealed to be Rich Swann, who reveals that he is medically cleared after all when he drops his crutches on the way to the ring. Shortly after this, another person suddenly shows up and enters the match: Eric Young, fresh out of WWE. Eric Young says he is a "world-class surprise" and says the match is now a five-way elimination match, and he won his World title at Slammiversary and plans to do it again.

Eddie Edwards beats Trey Miguel, Eric Young, Rich Swann and Ace Austin in a five-way elimination match to become Impact World Champion! After being eliminated suddenly by Swann, Young attacks the recently injured ankle of Rich Swann, going so far as to wrap a chair around it and stomp the chair before smashing the leg into the ring post with the chair. Security have to force Eric Young to the back. Ace Austin ends up eliminating Swann after kicking his leg out from under him and hitting The Fold.

After the match, Madman Fulton returns and attacks Eddie from behind. All of a sudden, The Good Brothers - Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson - show up. They get in the ring and tease attacking Eddie Edwards, but Anderson shaking hands with Ace Austin turns into Eddie Edwards and The Good Brothers taking down Fulton and Austin, with Austin eating a Magic Killer.

The show ends with three white vertical lines followed by Ethan Carter III smashing a whiskey glass into a brick wall before looking into a camera.
