Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for March 6, 2020

Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross start tonight's show with another edition of A Moment of Bliss. Alexa Bliss tells The Kabuki Warriors that the women's tag titles are to be defended on all brands and that they know where to find her and Nikki when they stop hiding on Raw. Alexa then introduces tonight's guests: New World Order members Scott Hall, Kevin Nash and Sean Waltman. Alexa announces that all three men will be two-time Hall of Famers, then Nikki takes a selfie with them before Alexa asks Waltman what they should call him, and Waltman decides on "Hall of Famer." Alexa then asks Kevin Nash what Roman Reigns needs to do to beat Goldberg. Nash jokingly says he forgot that he beat Goldberg, and says Roman asked for his advice. He told him that he needs two things: Scott Hall and a cattle prod. After Hall jokes it was "a shocking finish," Sami Zayn, Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura show up, and Sami says that while everyone loves the nWo, it is time to stop living in the past and start talking about the future: him, Cesaro and Nakamura. He then says that the immediate future is them defeating Braun Strowman and taking back the WWE Intercontinental Championship at Elimination Chamber before the three of them getting in the ring. Sami then says that the nWo knows plenty about winning the title, then jokes that Waltman knows how much the belt weights because he carried Nash and Hall's bags for so many years. Waltman takes this as a challenge, and Nash jokes that Sami looks like Seth Rogan after two weeks with the stomach flu. Sami does not find this funny, and says he, Nakamura and Cesaro can drop them in seconds. Nash says they couldn't touch them on their best day, and Waltman says the couldn't do it any day. Nash, Waltman and Hall stand up ready to fight, leading to a stand-off before Sami says their fight will not happen. As Sami, Cesaro and Nakamura leave, Sami says that the nWo wants to fight them to become relevant at their expense, and that he, Cesaro and Nakamura are laser-focused on destroying Strowman at Elimination Chamber. Strowman shows up, and he eventually fends of Cesaro and Nakamura before scaring Sami into fleeing into the ring, where he runs into Waltman. Sami tries to beg Strowman off, then uses Alexa as a human shield as a means of getting away. Strowman throws chairs and tables at Sami, nearly nailing Sami with a chair in the process. Strowman then grabs the microphone and promises that Sami, Cesaro and Nakamura that they will get these hands, then tells Nash, Hall and Waltman it will be "too sweet."

Bayley and Sasha Banks beat Naomi and Lacey Evans.

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Big E). Kofi says that he and Big E are focused on Elimination Chamber, and Big E says that stamina is key in a gauntlet match. Kofi says that he and Big E hope to come out of Elimination Chamber as eight-time tag team champions.

Backstage, Bayley and Sasha Banks gloat about how dominant they are in the women's division as of late and state that The Bella Twins are undeserving of entering the WWE Hall of Fame before them. Sasha says she will dedicate her album to Bayley, and Bayley says nobody past, present or future will be able to touch them.

Backstage, Shorty G talks with Apollo Crews, telling him that he respects him going against Sheamus on his own and that he still has his back. He offers to shake his hand, but Apollo brushes him off before heading to the ring.

Backstage, Drake Maverick talks with Drew Gulak, telling him that he wants an opportunity to compete and that he wants to face Daniel Bryan. Gulak tells Maverick he knows Daniel Bryan's moves and weaknesses, and that Maverick doesn't think he has what it takes. As Gulak speaks, Daniel Bryan shows up from behind and tells Gulak he will be at Elimination Chamber, and if Gulak is so confident that he can exploit his weaknesses, then he can step into the ring with him.

It's time for Firefly Fun House. The wall is covered with nothing but framed pictures of John Cena, and Bray Wyatt asks "Why John Cena?" Ramblin' Rabbit shows up and mentions Bray's loss to Cena six years ago at WrestleMania 30. Bray says that time can either hurt you or help you, and says that without Cena, the Firefly Fun House wouldn't exist, and he thanks and forgives Cena for this. He then says there is a catch: Cena also created "The Fiend." He says that The Fiend is waiting at WrestleMania and that he will not be so forgiving, as life is a circle, and eventually, the dark side always comes again. He then says that this is the beauty of the circle, then laughs maniacally after saying "Let me in."

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews King Corbin. Corbin says that he and Roman are finished, and as he is about to mention his WrestleMania plans, Elias shows up and plays guitar, interrupting his interview. When Corbin confronts him, Elias says he found his voice annoying and is here to tune it out, but Corbin stops him, saying he would not even give him 50 cents for his musical talent and says that he looks ridiculous and that his fantasy world is an insult to reality. He tells Elias that if he keeps it up, he will have to bow down to his king.

Heavy Machinery (Tucker and Otis) find Mandy Rose backstage. Otis tries to apologize to Mandy, saying he saw the texts saying she would be late, but Mandy says it is too little too late and leaves after saying that a woman does not appreciate being stood up.

We look back at "Occupy Raw" from the March 10, 2014 episode of Raw, when Daniel Bryan got his match against Triple H and a potential match for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 30.

The Usos are eliminated following a crucifix pin by Tucker, and Miz and Morrison are eliminated after Tucker pins Morrison with an inside cradle. Afterwards, The Miz and Morrison assault Heavy Machinery in response to being eliminated, and Dolph Ziggler talks with Mandy Rose backstage before heading to the ring with Robert Roode. Ziggler and Roode get the win after Ziggler superkicks Otis following a Caterpillar to Roode.
