Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for March 17, 2020

The North ("All Ego" Ethan Page and "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander) retain the Impact World Tag Team Championships against TJP and Fallah Bahh. During the match, TJP makes Ethan Page tap out with a leg bar transferred into an STF, but the referee does not see it because he falls down to the floor along with Fallah Bahh as Fallah has the Octopus on Alexander.

Eddie Edwards announces that he has chosen Tommy Dreamer, Daga and Tessa Blanchard for his Lethal Lockdown team at Lockdown.

On The Real Housewives of Slamtown, Rosemary hangs out with Taya Valkyrie and two of her friends (one of whom is played by independent wrestler Heather Monroe). Within a matter of minutes, Taya and her two friends are all drunk on wine. They all wake up when Rosemary reminds Taya she promised they would party. At the nightclub, Rosemary is seen sucking one of the girls' souls out, and Taya has to stop her.

Chris Bey beats Damian Drake in his Impact Wrestling debut.

The Impact Plus Flashback Moment of the Week is a battle royal from June 19, 2002. This is from the first NWA-TNA pay-per-view, and the match was won by Ken Shamrock, who became NWA World Heavyweight Champion after winning the match.

Backstage, Alisha Edwards meets with Jordynne Grace on the topic of refocusing on the ring after everything that has been happening as of late. Jordynne Grace allows Alisha on her Lethal Lockdown team.

We see another vignette for Tenille Dashwood.

Backstage, Gabi Loren interviews Chase Stevens. He says that TNA: There's No Place Like Home is 18 years of growth, and as he talks about his time in TNA, Moose interrupts. Moose jokes that he is interviewing Bret Michaels, then asks why all the "TNA guys" are "reviving the deceased." Stevens mentions Moose winning few titles in Impact, and when Moose punches, Stevens fights back, but Moose overpowers him and runs away.

It's time for another edition of Gut Check. Tyler Tirva and "Shogun" Jackson Stone have made it to the finals. Both men have one last match, and Jackson Stone is the winner. Backstage, it is revealed that Jackson Stone has won Gut Check.

Jimmy Jacobs interviews Taya Valkyrie. Tessa talks about her opponents from the past year as well as her World Championship victory, which she credits with making her a different competitor. She says that she has unfinished business with Ace Austin and Taya Valkryie and wants to finish it. Tessa says she is challenging both Eddie Edwards and Michael Elgin because she is tenacious and a threat and because both men want the title. She says that she will prove she is the best when she takes on two of the best in the world and retains the World title at Rebellion.

Before the next match, Joey Ryan - now wearing a turtleneck and khaki shorts and calling himself "Joey P. Ryan" - says that he, Katie Forbes and Rob Van Dam has extraordinary gifts: talent, a derriere and a manhood, respectively. He then says that the fans have lost the privilege of their gifts due to their inability to treat them with respect, and that the fans will never see another dick flip again. RVD says that all the fans are hypocrites, and says that their opponents are drinking beer already as he asks what kind of professional will get in the ring with someone who is drunk. Joey P. Ryan then states that he, Katie and RVD are now known as "#CancelCulture," and that The Deaners (Cody Deaner and Cousin Jake) are getting cancelled.

#CancelCulture (Joey P. Ryan and Rob Van Dam) beats The Deaners (Cody Deaner and Cousin Jake) after Katie Forbes distracts Cody Deaner.

Backstage, Gabi Loren interviews Ken Shamrock, who says that he has gotten a call from Impact saying they wanted him for something, and that he will mention his career announcement in the ring.

Backstage, Ace Austin meets with Willie Mack. Willie tells Austin he did not need any last week, but Austin tells Willie he has impressed a lot of people, including him, and expresses interesting in winning tag team gold with Willie Mack. Willie Mack says that Rich Swann is his only tag team partner, but Austin says that Willie cannot say he is not wanting to be a champion. Willie Mack says that next week, he is in a scramble match to become #1 contender for the X Division title.

Kiera Hogan beats Lacey Ryan.

Backstage, Su Yung finds a letter addressed to her. It is from Father James Mitchell, who insists that she face Havok in the Undead Realm away from Rosemary's influence while he remains impartial.

We hear from Michael Elgin, who picks Taya Valkyrie and The North ("All Ego" Ethan Page and "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander) for his Lethal Lockdown team at Lockdown.

Daga beats Jake Crist.

Backstage, security finds a hooded man and apprehend him. The man's face is not shown.

Backstage, Scott D'Amore is made aware of the hacker, who is really Ryan Cage, the ordained minister. Security soon finds out that they do not have their man after all.

Next week: Tessa Blanchard and Eddie Edwards vs. Michael Elgin and Taya Valkyrie, with the winning team getting the advantage at Lockdown! An X Division Championship #1 Contender's Scramble Match! Rhino and Sabu vs. oVe (Dave Crist and Madman Fulton)! Havok vs. Rosemary in the Undead Realm!

Josh Mathews introduces Ken Shamrock to the ring. Shamrock says there is no better place to be than in Impact Wrestling, and says that Impact management called him so they could do something special, which everyone will find out together. It is then announced that at Bound For Glory, Ken Shamrock will be inducted into the Impact Wrestling Hall of Fame. During Shamrock's Hall of Fame video package, however, the lights go out and the "ICU" picture is shown. When the lights come back on, a masked man is in the ring, and he throws a fireball at Shamrock's face. The man then unmasks to reveal himself as Sami Callihan, who has not been seen in weeks, and he produces a cellphone to turn the lights back off. When they come back on, Callihan is gone. Medical staff checks on Shamrock.
