Raw Deal - Raw recap for March 2, 2020

Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman show up to start tonight's show. Heyman says it is their job to hype up WrestleMania and says that this year's WrestleMania is a sham, as WWE wants to sell the fans on Drew McIntyre, whom Heyman calls "a hyped-up fraud." He says that the fans cheer for McIntyre because Lesnar "massacred" fifteen consecutive top stars in WWE only to get hit with a low blow by Ricochet, which left Lesnar vulnerable to McIntyre kicking him in the face and over the top rope in the men's Royal Rumble match. Heyman then says that the fans cheer this information like "Pavlovian dogs," and while he and Lesnar offer no excuses for what happened at Royal Rumble, he states that McIntyre cannot beat Lesnar, who will destroy him the next time he sees him. Heyman says this is because McIntyre is "a stupid, big bitch who is going to get squashed." Suddenly, McIntyre shows up. McIntyre has a staredown with Lesnar, and Lesnar smiles at McIntyre as he slowly backs out of the ring. As he teases leaving the ring, Lesnar charges at McIntyre only to fall victim to a Claymore Kick. The fans chant "You deserve it!" as Heyman and a stunned Lesnar slowly make their way to the back. After Lesnar makes his way onto the stage, however, he is suddenly Claymore Kicked again by McIntyre, who soon raises up the WWE Championship in front of a downed Lesnar. When Lesnar gets back, he is Claymore Kicked again.

Before the next match, Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) hype the crowd up for the next match. Montez Ford says it is now or never and that he and Angelo Dawkins have worked for years for the Raw tag team titles, and if they win tonight against Seth Rollins and Murphy, the fight is over. Angelo Dawkins says that the joke is on "The Monday Night Pariah" and "Murph the Smurf", because when the pressure is on, they cook.

In what is billed as a "Now or Never" match and Street Profits' (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) last opportunity at the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships, Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) beat Seth Rollins and Murphy to become the WWE Raw Tag Team Champions! During the match, Rollins calls AOP (Akam and Rezar) to the ring behind the referee's back, but the referee soon catches wind of what is going on and ejects AOP from ringside. As the referee argues with AOP and Murphy at the ring apron, Kevin Owens gets in the ring behind the referee's back and hits Rollins with a Stunner before fleeing through the crowd. As Murphy and AOP chase Owens through the crowd, Montez Ford hits Seth Rollins with a top rope frog splash to earn Street Profits the win and the titles.

Backstage, Charly Caruso interview Seth Rollins and Murphy. Rollins says that anyone who stands in their way will be eradicated, and he say that he and Murphy will take down Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) and take back the Raw tag team titles at Elimination Chamber. He also says that Kevin Owens can name the time, place and stipulation, because when he gets his hands on him, Owens will be crucified.

Riddick Moss retains the WWE 24/7 Championship against Ricochet.

Before the next match, "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles says that he is not in a good mood, as he should be celebrating with a trophy, had it not been to The Undertaker. He says he is the talk of the town and not in a good way, as there is a viral video of Mark Wahlberg giving him advice. This video is soon shown, where Wahlberg advises Styles to walk away from the situation while he still can. Styles says he should be celebrating with Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, then says he will not take Wahlberg's advice, for he is on a collision course with The Undertaker. Styles hopes that The Undertaker is watching, because he has a match with Aleister Black, and he hopes it serves as a warning to The Undertaker for holding on to a spotlight that now belongs to him. Aleister shows up, and before the match begins, Styles tells Aleister that he did not read the contract for their match and that he will have to go through Karl Anderson first to get to him.

Aleister Black beats Karl Anderson. After the match, "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles stats that Aleister will now have to go through Luke Gallows to get to him.

Aleister Black beats Luke Gallows by disqualification after Gallows refuses to listen to referee John Cone's five-count while attacking Aleister in the corner. Afterwards, Karl Anderson also attacks Aleister. This gives Styles his match against Aleister, who is soon hit with a Magic Killer before the match begins.

"The Phenomenal" AJ Styles beats Aleister Black after hitting the Phenomenal Forearm followed by an Undertaker-style pinfall attempt.

Backstage, Charly Caruso interviews Ruby Riott. Ruby says that people make and break promises everyday, proving themselves loyal in a single breath. She then says the only person she is responsible for is herself, and she will prove her ability to strike whenever she wants on Sunday and that there are no friends inside the Elimination Chamber.

Liv Morgan beats Ruby Riott in a match with Sarah Logan as special guest referee. During the match, Ruby inadvertently hits Sarah during a kick-out from a pinfall attempt from Liv Morgan. When Liv kicks out of another pinfall attempt, Ruby confronts Sarah over the cadence of her count, and Liv Morgan goes for a schoolkin pin on Ruby. Liv wins the match after Sarah makes a fast count. After the match, Ruby Riott confronts Sarah Logan, who pushes Ruby before Liv hits Ruby with a running knee to the face. Sarah then lays Liv out.

Backstage, No Way Jose and his conga line are met by Erick Rowan and his cage. Jose asks Rowan if they can see what is in the cage, and Rowan says he has waited for somebody to ask nicely to see what is in the cage. Rowan then proposes showing them what is in the cage, and he reaches in and pulls out a giant tarantula. Jose and his conga line scatter and eventually run away.

We look back on "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's beer bath on The Corporation from the March 22, 1999 episode of Raw, courtesy of Novartis.

Before the next match, Asuka, who is wearing a cast on her left hand, tells "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler she is lucky tonight because she got injured. Kairi Sane tells Asuka "I've got this," then Asuka says Kairi is hungry for Baszler after mentioning Becky Lynch and Elimination Chamber in Japanese.

"The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler beats Kairi Sane with the Kirifuda Clutch in her Raw debut. During the match, Becky Lynch shows up and guests on commentary.

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews Rey Mysterio and Humberto Carrillo. Rey says that Humberto is the type of competitor who keeps getting back up no matter how many times he goes down, and says their war with Andrade and Angel Garza will end when and how they want it to end.

Rey Mysterio and Humberto Carrillo beat Angel Garza and Andrade.

Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) vs. Seth Rollins and Murphy for the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships and Aleister Black vs. "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles in a no-disqualification match are officially matches for Elimination Chamber.

Beth Phoenix shows up. Before she can give a medical update on her husband Edge, Randy Orton shows up. Orton tries to hug Beth Phoenix, then tries to shake her hand, but Beth wants none of it and calls him "a son of a bitch." Orton then sits on the top rope in the corner, and Beth says that she is here as a wife because she needs needs her husband, and also as a mother because her children deserve their father. Before Beth can say much else, Orton stands up and approaches Beth, then takes a microphone and says it is a certainty that Edge will never wrestle again after what he did. Orton then says he will give Beth an explanation. He talks about a live show in St. Louis, where he was backstage with his father Bob Orton Jr. as a fan trying to break into WWE, and talks about how Edge showed respect to his father. He says that as Edge shook his father's hand, he said that his father was one of the best bad guys in the business and a reason why he got into the business in the first place. His father then introduced him to Edge. Edge then shook his hand, wished him luck, and told him that they would face each other in the ring if he played his cards right. From there, he was inspired to work his way to the WWE, and eventually, he and Edge stole the show. Orton chronicles their history as rivals and tag team partners, but as things could not get any better, he made some poor choices, and Edge pulled him out of the whole, saved his life, and taught him that there was more to life. Orton credits him for making him into a better father and family man, then says he returned the favor and saved his life, for at the night after Royal Rumble, Edge thought he would be back for good and competing on a regular basis. Orton then says he knew better and knew that somebody would make a name for themselves by putting him in a wheelchair, and decided to do just that and give Beth and her family their husband and father back. He then says everyone thinks that what happened to Edge is his fault, but then says it is Beth's, as she is an enabler and Edge is a junkie for the roar of the crowd, and she did nothing to stop it or help him, leading him to step in. Orton says that by saying everything out loud, he realizes that he loves Edge and his two daughters better than Beth ever could. Beth responds by slapping Orton in the face, then Orton says "You're a bitch." Beth kicks Orton in the gut, but Orton hits Beth with an RKO. Referees, officials, medical staff and Superstars check on Beth after Orton leaves.

Here are the top ten moments from tonight's show!
