205:Alive - 205 Live recap for January 9, 2018

In footage from earlier today, Gran Metalik is talking with Kalisto when TJP shows up and welcomes him back, reminding him of how he beat him to win the Cruiserweight Classic. Kalisto and Gran Metalik welcome him back, but say things have changed and TJP is living in the past. TJP says they are the ones who are trying to catch up with him.

Gran Metalik beats TJP. After the match, Gran Metalik celebrates with Kalisto, then TJP takes his anger out on the fans as well as the commentary table.

We see footage of Enzo Amore being given six stitches by the WWE medical staff.

Dasha Fuentes interviews Enzo Amore. He says that his ankle is feeble and his eye looks like a baseball. He says he is not medically cleared, and if he could defend the title, he could. Suddenly, "The Premiere Athlete" Tony Nese shows up. Nese says The 'Zo Train (Enzo Amore, Noam Dar, Drew Gulak, Ariya Daivari) beat some sense into him, and he wants to come back and become second-in-command. He plans to make a statement by beating Cedric Alexander down tonight.

"Gentleman" Jack Gallagher shows up. Gallagher announces that Hideo Itami is bruised, battered and not here, as he is licking his wounds from the thorough thrashing he gave him last week. When he returns, he has plans for him. He says his ribs are bruised, but he will recover. However, he cannot say the same for The Brian Kendrick, and for that, the scales of justice are not even right now. As long as The Brian Kendrick's future is in jeopardy, he will ruin Hideo Itami's life. Suddenly, Hideo Itami's music hits, and Hideo shows up. Gallagher and Hideo go at it, but Hideo quickly gets the upper hand and stops him from using his umbrella as a weapon. Hideo readies the umbrella, but Gallagher gets out of the ring and escapes through the crowd.

Cedric Alexander wishes he was Cruiserweight Champion right now, but he is not disappointed; instead, he is motivated, as he will get his rematch when Enzo Amore comes back and make his dream a reality. Goldust congratulates him on the interview, and says he is here to make sure Cedric isn't taken advantage. He tells Cedric to watch out for Enzo's mouth, as he can talk his way out of trouble and he has "The Premiere Athlete" Tony Nese in his pocket. When Goldust tells him that Enzo will be at ringside, Cedric says he is not worried, because Enzo will learn that one thing worse than one bad ankle is two bad ankles.

Before the next match, Enzo Amore introduces "The Premiere Athlete" Tony Nese to the ring.

Cedric Alexander beats "The Premiere Athlete" Tony Nese with an inside cradle. During the match, Cedric seems to tweak his ankle while escaping a pump handle slam, but manages to pin Nese with an inside cradle in front of Enzo Amore. He then reveals that his ankle is not even hurt after the match. Enzo Amore tells Tony Nese to get out of the ring immediately, then he and Cedric Alexander have a staredown where Enzo tells Cedric he would beat him up if he was medically cleared. Enzo gets a kick to the ankle and a Lumbar Check afterwards to end the show.
