Raw Deal - Raw recap for February 13, 1999

RAW

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin shows up. He says that when WWF co-owner Vince McMahon made the non-title match between himself and Mankind, he counted on them beating the hell out of him. He is all right with that, as he has all the respect in the world for him and that he is one tough son-of-a-bitch. He tells Vince that no matter what happens in the ring, when he gets him in the steel cage, there will be nothing he can do against him except lace up his track shoes and run around the cage, as all he does is think of ways to screw him out of the World Wrestling Federation. Austin tells Vince there is nothing he can do that will get rid of him. He says Vince is the only person standing between him and his shot at the WWF Championship, and it seems he is always so good and giving guarantees as he has a few for him. He can guarantee Vince that he will beat his ass up and down each and every side of the cage, that he will step over his limp carcass and walk right to the title shot at WrestleMania 15, and that there will be a lot of blood shed and it will not be his. This Sunday, Vince's ass is his. Suddenly, Mankind shows up and asks if he heard Austin use the word "bloodshed," as he wants to get near ringside during the steel cage match and get some blood on his new white shirt. He also promises that he intends to be the last man standing in his match against The Rock, before saying that the crowd tonight wants to see somebody get their ass kicked and that someone in going to take one hell of a beating. Mankind then leaves Austin with one last thought: he is the WWF Champion until he is not. Suddenly, The Corporation shows up. The Rock says there is a strong need to set Austin and Mankind's candy asses straight, and tells Mankind that this Sunday, he plans on making his death wish come true by dragging his candy-ass down Know Your Role Boulevard, hanging the right on Jabroni Drive, and instead of checking him into the Smackdown Hotel, he will bash his living brains in. After he does that, when all is said and done, Mankind will realize without a shadow of a doubt why he is the great one, the chosen one, and the best damn WWF Champion there ever was. As for Austin, he lets Vince deal with him. Vince tells Austin that he hopes he heard The Corporation's anthem, as it is titled "No Chance In Hell" and he remembers giving him that precise chance when it came to winning the Royal Rumble match and having his own name announced as the winner of the match. As far as he is concerned, it has such a nice ring to it that he wants to hear it again this Sunday when he beats Austin in this Sunday's cage match, and he is so confident that he will hear his name announced as victor again that he will make Austin even better guarantees. He guarantees Austin that not one member of The Corporation will interfere in the match with him in the cage this Sunday, and if anyone does so even slightly, he will fire the entire Corporation and they will never work for the World Wrestling Federation again. He also guarantees that after the cage match is over, the WWF will never, ever be the same again. He also announces a special guest referee for Austin's match tonight against Mankind: himself.

Debra is seen on-camera backstage, and "Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry is seen watching Debra from a monitor backstage.

Before the next match, D'Lo Brown knows "Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry wants Debra, but he wants the tag team champions. He then tells Henry he has someone who will do he wants, when and where he wants it. He brings out a woman named Ivory.

D'Lo Brown beats Jeff Jarrett when Owen Hart distracts the referee only for Ivory to distract Jarrett so D'Lo Brown can hit Sky High. After the match, Ivory and Debra go at it, and both women have to be held back by their respective tag teams.

We see footage from earlier today of Val Venis in the Toronto Skydome Hotel with Ryan Shamrock. Both of them are only wearing a towel as they make out on a bed.

We see a video package of what is going on between "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock and Val Venis.

Val Venis heads to the ring with Ryan Shamrock, where he is interviewed by Kevin Kelly. Venis says he does need to get a rise out of "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock, as he is too busy getting a rise out of Ryan. Before the interview can continue, Ken Shamrock shows up and attacks Val Venis, who eventually attacks referees Tim White and Mike Chioda as Val Venis escapes with Ryan. Referees Earl Hebner and Jimmy Korderas are also attacked, and Korderas is the recipient of an ankle lock.

Ryan Shamrock tends to Val Venis, who says that he will end it between himself and "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock tonight.

Before the next match, a bellhop stands on the apron and tries to hand a blue candy box and blue roses to Goldust. Goldust knocks him off the apron. It is also announced that senior referee Earl Hebner will issue a statement regarding "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock immediately after this match.

Gillberg gets his first-ever win against Goldust. During the match, The Blue Meanie shows up on the TitanTron as "Bluedust," saying Goldust will never forget his name. Gillberg then takes advantage of the distraction by winning the match with a schoolboy pin, but Goldust gets revenge by hitting Gillberg with Shattered Dreams. Suddenly, the arena gets dark and blue lights start flashing. "Bluedust" is then seen behind Goldust, and he attacks Goldust from behind. When the lights come back on, Goldust is covered in light blue paint.

Senior referee Earl Hebner announces that none of his referees will officiate Val Venis vs. "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock this Sunday at St. Valentine's Day Massacre to Shamrock's recent behavior. If a referee is not named, Shamrock will be forced to relinquish the WWF Intercontinental Championship to Val Venis, and will be it.

D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) show up. Triple H says that at St. Valentine's Day Massacre, if Chyna wants to be a man and play in a man's world, then that night is her big chance. The only problem is that she is stepping up to the plate, but she is not carrying a bat, and that she can't even draw a walk because she doesn't have any balls. If Chyna thinks she is his equal, they'll find whose arrow hits the mark this Sunday. X-Pac gets everyone who didn't see Raw last week, saying he slammed the steel cage door into Kane's head and made him bleed like a pig, and tonight, he and Kane will square off tonight and he has no problem with it as he is not afraid of anybody. As fas as WWF co-owner Shane McMahon goes, if Shane thinks he can kick his ass, he tells him "don't sing it, bring it." Road Dogg introduces The New Age Outlaws (Road Dogg, Billy Gunn), then tells Al Snow that there will be no third game for him and "his bodyless bizitch" head, because this Sunday, he will walk a mudhole in his ass and moonwalk it dry. Billy Gunn then takes his jacket off to reveal he is the special guest referee for Val Venis vs. "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock for the WWF Intercontinental Championship at St. Valentine's Day Massacre.

WAR ZONE

Before the next match, special guest referee Vince McMahon declares that the match that eye gouging, weapons, and kicks to the groin are perfectly legal, and tells them to fight each other like "neanderthal animals." Austin asks Vince if somebody is getting their ass kicked, and Vince says that someone is getting their ass kicked. Austin says that he is not getting his ass kicked, and neither is Mankind, and that Vince is the one that is getting his ass kicked. Vince dares Austin to hit him, but Austin tells Vince that he nor Mankind will kick his ass. Instead, it is Mr. Socko. Mankind puts Vince in the Mandible Claw. The Rock gets in the ring, and the rest of The Corporation almost immediately follows suit. Austin and Mankind somehow manage to fight off the entire Corporation and stand tall in the ring.

After the commercial break, The Corporation returns. WWF co-owner Vince McMahon says he hopes everyone is satisfied, even though as "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Mankind think they may have gotten the better of him, but Austin will rue the day not just this Sunday, but in the ring tonight in a match against each and every member of The Corporation and run the gauntlet until someone is pinned.

Mideon guests on commentary for the next match.

The Godfather vs. Viscera ends in a no-contest after Mideon interferes. Mideon and Viscera attack The Godfather, and Viscera hits The Godfather with two splashes.

Val Venis and "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock are seen brawling in the locker room. "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn tires to pull them apart but has to beat up Shamrock. D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James) and members of The Corporation have to pull Shamrock and Billy Gunn apart.

X-Pac beats Kane by disqualification after Chyna hits X-Pac with a low blow. Chyna and Kane continue to attack X-Pac, and Chyna is about to hit X-Pac with a Pedigree when "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley make the save. Chyna wants a piece of X-Pac and Triple H, but Kane gets Chyna out of the ring and WWF co-owner SHane McMahon shows up, telling her to save it for Sunday.

Al Snow shows up with Head. He says that he has come to the arena tonight to prove a point. He respects "Road Dogg" Jesse James, saying he is tough and hardcore, but he is not the the crown prince of hardcore and the title belongs to him. He plans to take the Hardcore title on Sunday. He says Road Dogg stabbed him in the back, and he is a man of his word. To show how hardcore, he pulls several weapons out from underneath the ring - including a pan full of cookies - and issues an open challenge for a hardcore match. Nobody shows up, but Al Snow rectifies this by having a hardcore match with himself. He hits himself with weapons, smacks his own head into the commentary table and sprays a fire extinguisher into his face and puts himself through a table with a moonsault. Bob Holly shows up, but Al Snow pushes him away twice before hitting him. Bob Holly attacks Al Snow from behind, then sends him into the crowd and brawls with him there before taking the brawl back to ringside. The brawl continues until referees show up to restore order.

Kevin Kelly interviews Droz, who says he does not look or act like a punk in response to Kevin Kelly calling him a punk on Sunday Night Heat, and punches and slaps him. "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman shows up, rips Droz off Kevin Kelly and shoves him away.

Before the next match, The Rock tells "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman that unfortunately for him, he will have to kick his roody-poo candyass.

The Rock beats "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman.

The Corporation beats "Stone Cold" Steve Austin in the Corporate Gauntlet after WWF co-owner Vince McMahon pins Austin after the rest of The Corporation does the dirty work. Vince downs a beer, then The Corporation hold Austin down while Vince dumps beer on him and tells him that he will never bee the same again.
