Feel The Heat - Sunday Night Heat recap for February 14, 1999

Shane McMahon introduces WWF owner Vince McMahon to the ring to start tonight's show. After a replay of Vince McMahon winning the 1999 Royal Rumble Match and bragging about beating "Stone Cold" Steve Austin last night following a beating from the rest of The Corporation, he tells Austin not to disgrace himself and make him go 3-0 on him tonight, then says they don't have to have the cage match tonight. Vince gives Austin one last chance to break his contract tonight before they go to the cage, as he has big plans and he doesn't want to execute them. He also says that if Austin doesn't have the guts to come to the ring, then he will come looking for him backstage. Meanwhile, Austin - who has been watching backstage - responds by throwing the monitor he has been watching the show on at the wall.

It is announced that "Road Dogg" Jesse James has been forced to vacate the WWF Hardcore Championship due to injuries he suffered last night, and that the title will be decided between Al Snow and Bob Holly.

A black limousine pulls up to the arena.

Mankind is met backstage by his trainer Dominic DeNucci, who has brought two men with him: The Iron Shiek and Bob Backlund.

Viscera beats Test by disqualification after a nightstick attack from The Big Boss Man. After the match, Boss Man attacks both Viscera and Mideon with his nightstick.

Backstage, Michael Cole interviews "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn, who says he looks good, feels good and can count to three. He says he and "Road Dogg" Jesse James have broken every rule in the book, so he knows what to look for. He then tells "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock and Val Venis that not only are bribes allowed, but they are "graciously welcomed."

Backstage, The Rock interviews a woman who is applying to be his personal masseuse. After asking her if she likes pancakes - to which she says yes - they both go outside. There are a few other women lined up near the wall, and The Rock tells them they are the largest collection of "female two dollar skanks" he has ever seen and tells them all to leave.

"The King" Jerry Lawler shows up. He introduces Debra to the ring, and Debra says she is about to make Ivory an offer she cannot refuses before calling her out. Ivory shows up, and Debra admits that they both got off on the wrong foot, she is not done with her. Instead of a regular tag match, she proposes a six-person tag match. Ivory says the title match will happen, and her man will take Debra's "boys" down. Also, if she sees Debra near D'Lo Brown or "Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry, she will rip her clothes right off of her back. This leads to a catfight between Debra and Ivory, and Owen Hart, Jeff Jarrett, D'Lo and Mark Henry have to separate both women.

Backstage, The Iron Shiek swings his Persian clubs over his head.

Michael Cole interviews "Stone Cold" Steve Austin backstage only to have the door slammed in his face.

In the locker room, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn is busy counting his bribe money when Ryan Shamrock shows up and sits on Billy's lap.

Before the next match, Tiger Ali Singh says the world knows how ignorant and uneducated Americans are, and to reinforce it, he speaks in an Indian dialect. "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley guests on commentary for the next match when Shane McMahon suddenly heads to the back.

Tiger Ali Singh vs. "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn ends in a no-contest. During the match, the ref is knocked out by an Irish whip reversal by Billy Gunn, who then kicks Singh in the crotch and hits the Fameasser. Val Venis runs in to count the pinfall, then "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock shows up and fights Val Venis. Billy Gunn shoves Shamrock out of the ring before punching Val Venis, and Shamrock and Venis continue to fight each other.

Backstage, Dominic DeNucci trains Mankind before his match with The Rock tonight.

Backstage, Vince McMahon tells Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco that if he cannot get "Stone Cold" Steve Austin to break his contract, he does not want any members of The Corporation at ringside for their steel cage match.

Backstage, Bob Backlund gets Mankind to run up and down a flight of stairs. All of a sudden, Mankind is struck with a coffee pot to the leg by The Rock, injuring Mankind's leg.

WWF owner Vince McMahon shows up. He tells "Stone Cold" Steve Austin his time is up, and says it is appropriate to be up on St. Valentine's Day before saying that love is a load of crap. Vince says that when he thinks about Austin, one word comes to mind: hate, as he loathes the ground that Austin walks on. Vince says that if Austin makes him do what he has to do, then he will do it with as much hate as he possibly can, and gives him ten more seconds to make his way to the ring. Instead of Austin, however, he gets WWF Commissioner "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, who has not been seen since the assault on him by The Corporation. He tells him that if he wants to get someone's attention, he should whisper, but that would be a waste of both their time and he would rather punch Vince in the face. After Vince accuses Shawn of hiding Austin behind his back, Austin shows up, and Vince dares Austin to break his contract and hit him while Shawn tris to dissuade him. Vince then spits in Austin's face, then Austin tells him he will wipe the spit on his shirt off with Vince's blood to end the show.
