Feel The Heat - Sunday Night Heat recap for January 10, 1999

WWF owners Vince McMahon and SHane McMahon show up with Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco to start tonight's show. Vince says he will not dignify "the living nightmare of Mankind being the WWF Champion here tonight." However, he says that actions speak louder than words, and tomorrow night on Raw, he will take action against Mankind, and those actions will be brutal. He says there will be dire consequences for Mankind tomorrow night, then introduces his son Shane. Shane makes Patterson and Brisco watch footage of them being choke slammed by Kane, and tells them not to let anything like that happen to him ever again. Vince then addresses "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, and announces that Shawn emotionally, psychologically and physically cannot be here tonight and that he had to fire him for good reason. He says that Shawn responded with a super kick that "rattled [his] cerebellum," but he is still here with all of his faculties intact. He says that Shawn would not leave well enough alone and not to show up, but he showed up regardless with D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) and Triple H put his hands on Shane and nearly hurt him. He guarantees that Triple H will "pay hard time," then says it regretful that Shawn suffered the beating that he did last Monday night and that he had nothing to do with it; it was the actions of overzealous Corporation members. Vince then announces that Shawn will be put back together Tuesday night at Huebner Medial Center, then says that he would personally apologize to Shawn if he could. Shane then notices someone in the crowd, and that someone in the crowd is Jose Lothario, Shawn's teacher and mentor in the professional wrestling business, who has not been seen in WWF in three years. Vince asks Jose to come to the ring so he can apologize to him personally, and Shane allows him in the ring. Jose tells Vince that he thought of Vince as the greatest wrestling promoter in the world, but he has changed his mind, and if he wants him to accept his apology, he is mistaken. He also tells Vince that he sucks and shoves, him, then Vince kicks Jose Lothario in the gut before Patterson and Brisco beat him up and toss him out of the ring. Shane then heads to the commentary table.

Backstage, Michael Cole interviews Al Snow and The Blue Meanie. The Blue Meanie says he is glad that medicine has got Al Snow's voices back under control, but the memory of the bloodbath on Al Snow still remains. He says that tonight is all about revenge and that Al Snow is "a head" of the game.

Christian beats Al Snow. During the match, Goldust shows up and steals Head, and The Blue Meanie goes after him only to get walloped. Christian hits the Impaler on a distracted Al Snow to get the win, then Al Snow and The Blue Meanie run to the back.

The new "Smell What The Rock Is Cooking?" shirts are exclusively available at Wal-Mart.

We se footage from earlier today where Michael Cole interviews Sable at the Riverwalk in downtown San Antonio, Texas. Sable says her life has dramatically changed since she has become WWF Women's Champion, and she has been all over the country for more appearances and opportunities. She says that the time when she first entered the WWF feels like a lifetime ago compared to now, and she is honored to represent WWF as the Women's Champion and plans to hold it for a long time. Sable says she is promoting a healthy lifestyle of exercise and a healthy lifestyle along with a positive self-image. When asked to describe Shane McMahon, he says that Shane should remember that what goes around comes around. On the subject of Luna Vachon, Sable says she will put the WWF Women's Championship on the line against her at Royal Rumble, as Luna has made it clear that the Women's title is what she wants.

"The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman vs. Owen Hart in a Lion's Den Match ends when special guest referee Dan "The Beast" Severn leaps off the top of the cage, attacks Blackman and puts him in a sleeper hold after ripping off his neck brace, revealing that he is not injured.

Backstage, "Teh Letahl Weapon" Steve Blackman is seen throwing steel chairs around and he says that Dan "The Beast" Severn is his.

The Oddities (Golga and Kurrgan) beat The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) to become the "WWF Tag Team Champions of the Universe."

Backstage, "The Letahl Weapon" Steve Blackman chases Dan "The Beast" Severn and gets his hands on him, but Severn is able to escape thanks to Owen Hart, who is also there on the scene.

We take alook back at Mankind's road to become WWF Champion.

Backstage, WWF owner Vince McMahon tells The Big Boss Man to turn "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley's face into hamburger to the point that he cannot even be recognized.

The Big Boss Man tells ring announcer Tony Chimel to announce that Triple H is showing from inside the cage for the Lion's Den match from earlier tonight. Triple H runs into the cage and battles Big Boss Man, and easily gets the upper hand. Shane McMahon climbs up a light tower onto the top of the cage, distracting Triple H and allowing Boss Man to attack Triple H with a nightstick. Triple H bleeds from his mouth as Boss Man and Shane continue to assault him, then D-Generation X (X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) show up along with Kane and "The World's Most Dangerous Man" SHane McMahon, and Boss Man hits Road Dogg with the nightstick to allow Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco to get Shane McMahon out of there. Both men then continue to brawl in the cage to end the show.
