Feel The Heat - Sunday Night Heat recap for January 24, 1999

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin get stopped by a parking lot attendant before he can park in a limousines-only VIP parking lot, and he does a donut before speeding off.

WWF owner Vince McMahon, Shane McMahon, Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco show up to start tonight's show. Vince says he has a reputation as a street fighter and has not lost a street fight, and before he locked up with his opponent, he told him what he would do to him before going out and do it. He then offers "Stone Cold" Steve Austin the same opportunity, and tells him that if he can find the employee's parking lot, he will give him 30 minutes to come into the ring and stand face-to-face with him so he can tell Austin what he will do to him at Royal Rumble. As far as Mankind is concerned, he knows that Mankind is preparing for his WWF Championship defense tonight, and to make sure there are no excuses when Mankind says "I quit," Mankind will be in a "tune-up match," and he announces that Mankind's opponent will be a mystery as Mankind watches backstage.

A black limousine pulls up at the arena. When it opens up, a very larged masked man clad all in black comes out of the limousine and follows Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco into the arena.

We see a series of figures in a dark room before the next match.

The J.O.B. Squad (Bob Holly and 2 Cold Scorpio) beats Too Much ("Too Sexy" Brian Christopher and Scott "Too Hot" Taylor). After the match, The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) and Mideon run in and attack everyone in the ring, then The Undertaker appears with Paul Bearer and two Druids after they clear the ring out, and announces that later tonight, the lambs will be led to the slaughter and he will choose his next victim. He says the choice shall be clear: accept the darkness and the everlasting life that it possesses, or subject yourself to torment and pain, for what he has to offer is nothing else. He says there are 30 men who stand waiting to fight, but you must concern yourself with only one thing. He asks if you will accept the Lord of Darkness as your savior and allow the purity of darkness to guide you.

Backstage, Mankind tells Shane McMahon that he is mistaken when he says he will be whimpering the words "I Quit," and says it will be The Rock who screams the words "I quit, I quit, I quit!"

Michael Cole interviews Sable in the ring. Sable says that Luna Vachon deserves a shot at the WWF Women's Championship, but Luna has now made it personal. She says that if Luna wanted a title shot, all she had to do was ask, and she would have given it to her. All of a sudden, Luna Vachon shows up and attacks Sable before targeting her lower back. Luna retreats are referees and officials rush into the ring to check on Sable.

Sable is checked on by an EMT backstage.

WWF owner Vince McMahon shows up again. He announces that "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is not showing up as Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson join him in the ring. Soon after, a white Cadillac limousine with monster truck tires run over the cars in the VIP parking and makes its way to the arena. Austin climbs out of the driver's seat and makes his way to the ring, and Vince says he has only one thing to Austin. Austin shows up, and Vince says he has only thing to say to him before slapping him and running away. Austin then throws Patterson and Brisco out of the ring.

The Rock shows up backstage and gives the person holding his bags a hard time.

Mankind beats his mystery opponent by disqualification after The Rock and Shane McMahon interfere to attack Mankind as Mankind has the Mandible Claw on his mystery opponent, who is revealed to be none other than Mabel. As The Rock and Shane stomp Mankind, the show cuts to Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco rubbing body oil on WWF owner Vince McMahon backstage to end the show.
