Slammiversary 2016 - The LIVE Recap

Jeremy Borash, the entire TNA locker room and the entire audience have a moment of silence for the recent mass shooting that took place in the city of Orlando, where this year's Slammiversary is being held.

Gregory Shane Helms is banned from ringside for the next match as per TNA executives.

With Gregory Shane Helms banned from ringside, Eddie Edwards beats Trevor Lee, DJ Z and Andrew Everett with an inside cradle on Trevor Lee to become the TNA X Division Champion!

Jeremy Borash interviews Ethan Carter III. He tells "The Miracle" Mike Bennett that he's not a god and that he's really a false prophet, and he's coming for him with two fists, ten knuckles and "Old Testament vengeance."

Before the next match, Al Snow greets the crowd with very broken French before saying he will make wrestling great again with the help of The Tribunal (Basile Baraka and Judge Baron Dax), much like how his hero Donald Trump will make America great again.

The Tribunal (Basile Baraka and Judge Baron Dax) beat Grado and Mahabali Shera.

Braxton Sutter meets up with "The Cowboy" James Storm backstage.

Maria Kanellis shows up before the next match with a cast on her left hand. Allie shows up with Maria and calls Gail Kim a "big faker," saying that Gail is faking an injury and that Maria is legitimately hurt. Maria says the match is off, but Gail Kim isn't buying it and tells her to get in the ring before she makes her. Suddenly, Billy Corgan shows up and says that Maria has been deemed legitimately injured by TNA officials. Gail Kim won't get her match with Maria Kanellis until Maria is cleared to compete again, and Maria claims that it will take a long time and that she may never be able to wrestle again. Gail Kim still wants a match, and she gets one: she's in the Knockouts title match, which will now happen next.

Sienna beats Gail Kim and Jade in a triple threat to become TNA Knockouts Championship after Gail Kim goes after Maria Kanellis and Jade's former Dollhouse partner Marti Bell suddenly shows up to hit Jade in the back with a foreign object.

Jeremy Borash interviews Lashley. Lashley says he's played Drew Galloway like a puppet and brought him into his world, and that he will win by knockout or tapout.

Before the next match, "The Cowboy" James Storm shows up and celebrates the fact that he's been at every Slammiversary since the very first one. He talks about how it was in the very beginning, and how much has changed since then. Now there are people left and right wanting an opportunity with him, and now somebody's got just that. That person: Braxton Sutter.

"The Cowboy" James Storm beats Braxton Sutter. Both men show respect - and share a beer - after the match.

Jeremy Borash interviews Eli Drake. Eli knows that Bram is both crazy and dangerous enough to put his life on the line to take the King of the Mountain title from him, but he then calls Bram a dummy and says that he won't be losing the title anytime soon.

Eli Drake retains the TNA King of the Mountain Championship against Bram.

Jeremy Borash interviews "The Miracle" Mike Bennett, who puts himself on a pedestal before calling Ethan Carter III a spoiled little rich kid and saying that his road to redemption won't end happily.

Ethan Carter III beats "The Miracle" Mike Bennett.

Matt Hardy says that he will prove he is "the true face of Hardy" tonight.

Jeff Hardy beats Matt Hardy in a Full Metal Mayhem Match.

Decay (Crazzy Steve, Abyss, Rosemary) say that the future is now...and the future is Decay. Rosemary says The Bro Mans (Robbie E and Jessie Godderz) died a long time ago, and that they can die again.

Decay (Crazzy Steve and Abyss) retain the TNA Tag Team Championships against The Bro Mans (Robbie E and Jessie Godderz) in a chaotic tag team match.

Jeremy Borash interviews Drew Galloway, who says that this match is 16 years in the making...and he promises to beat Lashley and keep this world title reign going.

Lashley beats Drew Galloway in a match that can only end in knockout or tapout to become the TNA World Heavyweight Champion after Lashley chokes Galloway out.

The All Night Express (Kenny King and Rhett Titus) beat Cheeseburger and Jushin "Thunder" Liger.

Next week: Jay Lethal, Roderick Strong and The Briscoes (Jay and Mark Briscoe) vs. The Bullet Club (Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, Tama Tonga, Tonga Rua)!

Roderick Strong shows up and has a war of words with Mark Briscoe. The two of them have to be separated by officials before it can get worse.

The Young Bucks and Adam Cole brag about Jay Lethal and Jay Briscoe getting superkicked...then The Young Bucks take over direction duties from the cameraman due to the cameraman supposedly looking at them funny.

"The Last Real Man" Silas Young calls out ACH on his manhood yet again, telling him he'll send him back to reality at Best in the World. Officials have to get Young away from a fan for putting his hand on him, then ACH shows up and attacks Young.

Kyle O'Reilly vows to make KUSHIDA tap out after their last meeting at New Japan's Best of the Super Juniors tournament from last year.

Kyle O'Reilly beats KUSHIDA.

Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for June 9, 2016

The Club (AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson) start the show. Styles says Money In The Bank is being compared to WrestleMania and could be the best one yet, especially when he has a dream match against John Cena, and with SmackDown going live, this could be the last time we see one of these kinds of match-ups. He says the last decade has been the "Cena era," and he plans to change that himself. He says that The Club has dominated every place in the world that they have been, and Money In The Bank will be no different. Suddenly, Enzo Amore and Big Cass show up. Big Cass says that "the Mr. Clean dream team" in The Club winning the tag titles isn't going to happen, and that they're taking the belts. Karl Anderson says that Enzo and Cass aren't in the same league, but Enzo and Cass don't care. The Club start making fun of Enzo and Cass, but Enzo says he and Big Cass are all in and if The Club want to roll the dice, they'll beat the crap out of them.



The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) guest on commentary for the next match.

The Vaudevillains (Aiden English and Simon Gotch) show up in the middle of the next match.

The Club (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) vs. Enzo Amore and Big Cass ends with The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) brawls with The Vaudevillains (Aiden English and Simon Gotch), then get in the ring with The Club and the team of Enzo and Cass. All four teams brawl, and as The New Day deals with The Club, Enzo and Cass get their hands on The Vaudevillains and toss them out of the ring.



Renee Young interviews Lana and Rusev. Lana says Rusev is not backing down from Titus O'Neil, whom Rusev says has no idea what being a champion is while putting himself in the same breath as Muhammad Ali. Titus O'Neil shows up and says the WWE United States Championship will be his after Money In The Bank.



Alberto Del Rio and Kevin Owens beat Cesaro and Sami Zayn after Owens and Zayn fight in the back for a while and Kevin Owens takes full advantage of Del Rio's handiwork to get the pinfall instead of him.



Becky Lynch beats Dana Brooke with the Disarmher after Charlotte attacks Natalya outside of the ring only for her and Natalya to be ejected from the match.



Darren Young asks Bob Backlund how he saves so much money...and gets more than he bargained for.



Dolph Ziggler guests on commentary for the next match.

Baron Corbin beats Kalisto.



Sheamus brags about his role in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, then Apollo Crews shows up and punches him in the mouth. Needless to say, Sheamus isn't bragging much after that.



Chris Jericho beats Dean Ambrose. After the match, Jericho brings a ladder into the match and almost sends Ambrose into the ladder, but Ambrose reverse the Irish whip and sends Jericho into it instead. Ambrose then drops the ladder down onto Jericho's back, then sets the ladder up, points at the Money In The Bank Briefcase and hits Jericho with a flying elbow to end the show.

Underground Sound - Lucha Underground recap for June 8, 2016

Black Lotus tells Dario Cueto that El Dragon Azteca, Jr. knows where Matanza is kept, but he stopped him from killing him. However, if she finds out that he lied about El Dragon Azteca killing her parents, he will have to answer to him and the entire Black Lotus Clan. Dario Cueto tells her he's the only one to tell her the truth. He then tells her she is in a match against El Dragon Azteca, Jr. at Ultima Lucha, and if she wins, she can bring his mask to the Black Lotus Triad and her parents can finally rest in peace.

This week features a 6-on-6 match-up, and whichever team wins will face each other in an elimination match the next week where the winner will face Matanza Cueto for the Lucha Underground Championship.

Marty "The Moth" Martinez makes it known that he has Killshock's dog tags, and calls him out. He gets him, all right, and after he finds out that Killshot is behind him, that starts the match.

Marty "The Moth" Martinez vs. Killshot ends in a double count-out when the entire match takes place outside of the ring. Marty gets a swift kick after the match, and Killshot almost gets his dogtags back, but Marty takes them back after outsmarting him.

Mr. Cisco is in an interrogation room, and it turns out that Mr. Cisco has a laundry list of charges and a rap sheet a mile long. Cisco feels betrayed, and almost refuses to wear a wire, but quickly reconsiders and asks what he's getting Dario Cueto on. Captain Velasquez thinks that Dario Cueto may be the lynch pin to "The End of Days."
Jack Evans insists he be called Jack "The Dragonslayer" Evans before the next match.

Drago and Aerostar beat "The Darewolf" PJ Black and Jack "The Dragonslayer" Evans in a Nunchaku Match.

Before the next match, Pentagon Jr. shows up in a wheelchair and thanks Chavo Guerrero for being the only one who supported him, but then gets out of his wheelchair and tells him he will now destroy him...which he does by breaking his arm.

Black Lotus and Dario Cueto show up. Dario says it's great to see Pentagon Jr. again, especially after what Matanza Cueto did to him. He allows Pentagon Jr. to replace Chavo Guerrero Jr. in this match when the believers of the temple demand it. Dario then tells Pentagon Jr. to think long and hard if this is what he wants in his condition. Pentagon Jr. gets in the ring to fight without a second thought.

Fenix, King Cuerno, Ivelisse, Pentagon Jr., Johnny Mundo and Taya beat Son of Havoc, The Mack, Texano, Sexy Star, Prince Puma and Rey Mysterio Jr. in a 6-on-6 match. The winning team will face each other in an elimination match next week to decide who faces Matanza Cueto for the Lucha Underground Championship at Ultima Lucho 2.

Backstage, The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) say that they will hit hard and end American Alpha's (Jason Jordan and Chad Gable) reign to become two-time NXT Tag Team Champions.

Andrade "Cien" Almas beats "The Perfect 10" Tye Dillinger in his NXT debut.



The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) beat American Alpha (Jason Jordan and Chad Gable) to become the first-ever two-time NXT Tag Team Champions in NXT history. After the match, two men in all black attack American Alpha. Suddenly, WWE Hall of Famer and legendary manager Paul Ellering shows up and stands with these two men. The three of them leave together.





Bayley shakes Asuka's hand as Asuka does some last-minute sparring, wishing her luck.

Shinsuke Nakamura beats Austin Aries.



Asuka retains the NXT Women's Championship against Nia Jax.



As NXT General Manager William Regal talks about the NXT Championship match, Bobby Roode enters his office.

NXT alumni Neville can be seen in the front row before the main event.

Samoa Joe retains the NXT Championship against Finn Balor in a steel cage match with a Muscle Buster from the second rope.
