Generation NXT - NXT recap for February 5, 2020

Matt Riddle and Pete Dunne - now officially known as The Broserweights - show up to start tonight's show in a golf caddy with the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic trophy in the back. Riddle says that they are the Tag Team Classic winners, and Dunne says he never thought they would be a tag team. He then says that they will become NXT Tag Team Champions at NXT TakeOver: Portland. Suddenly, Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly show up. O'Reilly says he refuses to acknowledge Dunne and Riddle as a tag team, and says they have disrespected the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and the trophy. Before he and Fish get in the ring, Roderick Strong shows up, and Fish says they have bigger fish to fry than them. Riddle acknowledges that Bobby Fish said the word "fish," then asks Dunne how much fish Fish could fry if Fish could fry fish. Dunne tells him not to worry about it, but Riddle turns the question into a song. Dunne says that all that matters is that he and Riddle will smoke The Undisputed Era (Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly).

Angel Garza beats Isaiah "Swerve" Scott. After the match, Garza talks about his wins from tonight and Monday night, then says he wants the NXT Cruiserweight Championship and knows that he will be watching Jordan Devlin, who is in the building tonight.

Backstage, The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong) attack people backstage - and ruin a man's haircut - as they look for Tommaso Ciampa.

We see a video package for Mercedes Martinez.

Sgt. Slaughter is seen in the front row.

Dominik Dijakovic beats Killian Dain. After the match, it is announced that Dijakovic will face Keith Lee for the NXT North American Championship at NXT TakeOver: Portland, then Lee meets Dijakovic on the stage and tells him to bring his A-game before shaking his hand. Before the match, we see video footage of Dijakovic and Dain having a confrontation where each says that the other is in their way.

Backstage, The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong) demand KUSHIDA tell them where Tommaso Ciampa is. KUSHIDA fights them, but Adam Cole puts him through a board on a trash can. When another man shows up and finds out what happens, he gets kneed in the face by Strong.

We see an exclusive interview with Finn Balor and Johnny Gargano. Both men have been waiting to get their hands on the other, and Finn Balor tells Gargano that everyone will find out he is not the next Finn Balor. Gargano says he is the first and only Johnny Gargano, and says he needs to beat Finn Balor to solidify himself as the face of NXT. He then says Finn Balor needs this match as much as he does, but Finn Balor says he doesn't and says he will take his time with him. Gargano says this is the Finn Balor he needs, and says that he would eat the "Raw and SmackDown" him alive. Finn Balor says the old him died a long time ago, and that he is here to have the last match of Gargano's life. Gargano tells Balor that he can make all the threats that he wants, but come NXT TakeOver: Portland, he will take the NXT flag he left behind and drive it straight through his heart, then leaves. Finn Balor says he doesn't have a heart.

Mercedes Martinez beats Kacy Catanzaro.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Rhea Ripley, who cannot wait for Charlotte Flair to show up.

Backstage, The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong) is attacked by Tommaso Ciampa, who comes out from the inside of a truck and ambushes them one by one. Ciampa and Cole brawl their way into the arena and into the crowd. Ciampa slams Cole's head onto the announce table multiple times, then he is attacked by the rest of The Undisputed Era. Suddenly, The Broserweights (Matt Riddle and Pete Dunne) run in and fights The Undisputed Era, and security and referees have to break up the brawl before Dunne, Riddle and Ciampa stand tall. General Manager William Regal shows up and says that if everyone wants to fight tonight, then they might as well get their gear on, because they all have a match tonight. The massive brawl then picks up where it left off. As it does, the brawl makes its way to the stage, where order is eventually restored.

Jordan Devlin beats Tyler Breeze.

Charlotte Flair is seen approaching the arena.

Bianca Belair shows up. She talks about her match with Rhea Ripley at NXT TakeOver: Portland for the NXT Women's Championship and says that Ripley has forgotten about her. As she calls Rhea Ripley out to meet her face-to-face, Charlotte Flair shows up. Charlotte says she has a lot of respect for Bianca Belair and that Bianca is an amazing athlete, but she is not her, and while Bianca and Rhea are fired up about her, Rhea overlooked Bianca, who has made it all about herself. Rhea Ripley then shows up. Charlotte handwaves Bianca out of the way, then Rhea Ripley tells Charlotte to state her business while Bianca cannot belive what is going. Bianca then tells Charlotte "You're standing here, and you don't even go here!" She then says that Rhea Ripley will not run through her, and that Charlotte will face her at WrestleMania and that Charlotte "cannot whup [her]." Charlotte tells Bianca that this is a conversation between champions and to stand to the side and fix her braid, then Ripley tells Charlotte not to disrespect her or Bianca, as she did not come into Charlotte's house disrespecting her. After Ripley states that she and Bianca will tear each other apart at NXT TakeOver: Portland, she and Bianca then lay Charlotte out.

The Broserweights (Matt Riddle and Pete Dunne) and Tommaso Ciampa beat The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly) by disqualification after Roderick Strong knees Ciampa in the face. After the match, Fish and O'Reilly lay out The Broserweights on the outside, then Strong his Ciampa with End of Heartache. Afterwards, Cole takes a bottle of yellow spray paint and paints an X on Ciampa's back before The Undisputed Era stomps on Ciampa. Before Cole can hit, the "2-5-20" graphic from last week plays, and Velveteen Dream is on the top rope. He drops down and fights The Undisputed Era before revealing pants with a picture of him and Strong's wife and child on the right leg - and the words "Call Me Marina" on the seat, also in Rick Rude fashion - before pounding on Strong to end the show.

Here are the top ten moments from tonight's show!
