Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for February 25, 2020

After the events of Sacrifice last Saturday, Ace Austin demands another match with Tessa Blanchard "with the title on the line" to Scott D'Amore. D'Amore gives him the match, but makes it for the X Division Championship instead of the World Championship.

Daga beats Rob Van Dam by count-out after Katie Forbes - pre-occupied with everyone's opinions on social media about her and RVD - storms off to the back, distracting RVD to the point that he heads to the back to find her. Backstage, RVD finds Katie Forbes, who says that nobody deserves to see them after recent opinion of them. RVD says people bought tickets, then Joey Ryan shows up, saying he gets where they are coming from. He says that something like this could bring them together despite their bad blood in the past, and tells RVD that if he or Katie needs somebody to talk to, he is their guy.

Backstage, Gabi Loren interviews Jordynne Grace, who says that Taya Valkyrie tried to use loopholes to escape matches, but she is not like that and she will take on anyone. Suddenly, Madison Rayne shows up and takes offense to Jordynne taking her idea of issuing opening challenges, but says that Jordynne should be a fighting champion, as there are so much young, hungry talent waiting to dethrone her. She says that some of them need a locker room leader, then says that she is not challenging her. However, she will make sure Jordynne has a suitable opponent tonight.

In footage from Saturday, Rohit Raju says that his actions were all about making sure The Rascalz (Dezmond Xavier, Trey Miguel, Zachary Wentz) did not win the tag team titles, as he feels that they keep getting title shots that The Desi Hit Squad (Raju, Mahabali Shera). He says that The Desi Hit Squad now refuses to wait for opportunity and will now take what they want to become the tag team champions.

Rohit Raju beats Zachary Wentz despite Dezmond Xavier and Trey Miguel stopping Mahabali Shera from interfering. After the match, the mysterious "ICU" image shows up on the video screen.

Backstage, Ace Austin says that he has a little problem with tonight's match, as Tessa Blanchard has a shot at his title first and he has Option C on his side. When he wins tonight, nothing will matter, and he will soon become the youngest World champion of all time. He says that while Tessa is undeniable, he is inevitable, and he always has an ace up his sleeve.

We hear from oVe (Jake Crist, Dave Crist, Madman Fulton). Dave Crist says that they are losing everything by the week, and that Sami Callihan has gone missing. Dave feels they need a new leader, but Jake Crist says they are "Ohio strong," and that they will continue to take over everything.

Jordynne Grace retains the Impact Knockouts Championship against Miranda Alize.

Backstage, Gabi Loren interviews The North ("All Ego" Ethan Page and "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander). Page says that The North is the living, breahing embodiment and standard bearers of tag team wrestling in the world, and that the mold is being built around them. He says that other teams want to be built in the mold because it has worked before, and says he understands why TJP and Fallah Bahh want to be like them. Alexander tells TJP and Fallah Bahh to follow lightly, for they will eventually run into them if they follow in their footsteps long enough.

Bakstage, Havok is encountered by Rosemary. Havok tells Rosemary they have gone to war before, Rosemary calls Havok "ungrateful" and "unappreciative" of his efforts to give her a new playmate and get her away from Father James Mitchell. She then says that she has another present for her next week: Havok vs. Susie in a no-disqualification match.

From Dayton, Ohio, Eddie Edwards beats Michael Elgin with an unconventional pinfall attempt to win Match 4 of their best of five series, which is now tied two wins apiece (2-2).

Next week: The North ("All Ego" Ethan Page and "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander) vs. TJP and Fallah Bahh! Rosemary vs. Su Yung in a no-disqualification match! Moose vs. Petey Williams!

This week's Impact Plus Flashback Moment of the Week is Jeff Hardy vs. Mr. Anderson in a Ladder Match for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship from Against All Odds 2011.

Backstage, Gabi Loren interviews Scott D'Amore and Petey Williams. D'Amore says everyone will take a trip down memory line with the upcoming TNA event, when history will be revisited. D'Amore mentions the "T-N-Eh!" shirt that Petey is wearing, and Petey says it should be on Impact's online shop. Suddenly, Moose shows up and says TNA should stay in the past and that the attention should be on him. Petey tells Moose that he would not be here if it wasn't for the efforts of wrestlers like him, but Moose says he can be a star in any era just like he is now. As Moose names off TNA alumni Petey says the difference between the TNA alumni and Moose is that the old stars were champions.

Backstage, Johnny Swinger meets with Willie Mack, believing that their match together has made them a better team. Glenn Gilberti shows up and says Mack is not interested in teaming with him. Gilberti says Mack knows how to work, and unlike Mack, he has a gimmick like Swinger. Gilbert tells Swinger he should be teaming with someone like him, and Swinger is down with the idea.

We see footage of seven wrestlers meeting with Scott D'Amore for Gut Check. Safety is a key topic addressed as we see footage as the wrestlers try out in BCW's Can-Am Dojo.

Tessa Blanchard vs. Ace Austin for the Impact X Division Championship ends with Taya Valkyrie attacking Tessa from out of nowhere.
