Honor Roll - Ring of Honor recap for August 11, 2018

The Briscoes (Jay and Mark Briscoe) beat The Bouncers (The Beer City Bruiser and Brian Milonis). After the match, Jay proclaims The Briscoes to be "the baddest tag team on the planet" and the nine-time ROH World Tag Team Champions, and says there is no team who will take the titles from them, especially SoCal Uncensored ("Almighty" Christopher Daniels, "The Heavy Metal Rebel" Frankie Kazarian, Scorpio Sky), who want nothing of them.
Suddenly, SoCal Uncensored show up, and Scorpio Sky tells The Briscoes to beware of what they wish for, as the odds are in their favor and that they do not need odds. He proposes hanging back and letting Daniels and Kazarian take care of business. Both teams brawl, then security rushes into place.

Madison Rayne beats Karen Q, Kelly Klein and Tenille Dashwood in a Four Corners Survival Match with a Rayne Check to Karen Q to become the #1 contender for the ROH Women of Honor Championship. After the match, Sumie Sakai has a friendly staredown with Madison Rayne from the stage.

"The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes and Brandi Rhodes show up. Cody says he has been rather unlucky, for he has not been successful in both of his Ring of Honor championship rematches. He also mentions that neither match was one-on-one with the champion. Cody then says it is time to liven some spirits up, and that it is time to bring out someone who is all business, and is someone on top of the food chain who doesn't sing or dance. That person is Nick Aldis. Aldis shows up and says that in London, England, they stood in the ring, shook hands and made history as they agreed that they would square off in the most iconic and history-making event in the modern era: All In. However, he does not see an upside for him, and asks Cody what he has to offer for him as the NWA World Heavyweight Championship is everything he stands for now. He says that if Cody wants to take it from him because he feels like it, he has another thing coming and he will not like what it is. He says that Cody does not have the ROH World Championship and wants to know what Cody has to offer for him, because the way that he sees it now, he has everything to lose, and that is bad business for him. Cody asks him to hold out his hand, then takes off his Ring of Honor ring and says it means a lot of him. He asks Nick Aldis to consider it collateral, and asks him to think about it as he puts the ring in his hand. As Aldis leaves, Cody tells Aldis to think about how he would like to move from "the penny slots to the high-roller table" and defending the NWA World Heavyweight Championship in front of 10,451 people, for while he was facing Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi, Aldis beat a 53-year-old history teacher (a reference to the last champion Tim Storm) for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. Aldis gets back in the ring and confronts Cody, telling him to kiss his own ring. The rest of Bullet Club has to keep both men separated.

Bully Ray attacks Flip Gordon from behind with his chains before the next match begins. After the commercial break, Bully Ray demands that Cheeseburger and Josh "The Goods" Woods throw the match. Cheeseburger decides to have the match go ahead as a three-on-two handicap match.

Bully Ray, Punishment Martinez and Shane Taylor beat Cheeseburger and Josh "The Goods" Woods. During the match, Colt Cabana leaves commentary and enters the match after Josh "The Goods" Woods gets knocked off the apron by Shane Taylor, and becomes the third member of Cheeseburger's team at referee Todd Sinclair's discretion. Cabana and Cheeseburger have the match won when Shane Taylor piledrives Cheeseburger into the mat for the win. After the match, Bully Ray's team attacks Cabana, Cheeseburger and Woods with Bully Ray's chain until Flip Gordon comes in with a steel chair and takes out Punishment Martinez and Shane Taylor before forcing Bully Ray to run out of the ring to end the show.
