Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for April 5, 2018

Eli Drake is seen entering the arena in footage from earlier today, as is Moose.

Lashley shows up to start tonight's show. He says that every time somebody new shows up, they try to make this big buzz as "the next big thing," and the first person they set their eyes on is him. He says everybody does this because he is the top of the food chain, and if anyone wants to make a name for themselves, they have to test themselves against him. He then says this is what "The Machine" Brian Cage has done, and that he has not made a name for himself yet after getting a fluke victory on him. He dares Cage to get in the ring with him again, and if he can beat him, he will be somebody as "Bobby Lashley will make you famous."

"The Machine" Brian Cage beats Lashley.

The Pluto TV Rewind of the Week is Dale Torborg laying out Simon Diamond.

Allie shows up. She says that last week, Su Yung jumped her from behind like a coward, and while she used to be afraid of monsters like her, she is not anymore. She tells Su Yung to "get [her] ass out here," then Su Yung shows up.

Allie beats Su Yung by disqualification.. During the match, Braxton Sutter runs out and distracts Allie, but Allie sees Su Yung coming and hits her with a Codebreaker for a two count. When she goes for the Best Superkick Ever, Braxton Sutter grabs at Allie's leg, then Su Yung grabs her Kendo stick, pushes the referee, hits Allie in the gut with it and then swings it at the referee, who ducks and rolls out of the ring. After the match, Su Yung chokes Allie out with the Kendo stick.

Impact Wrestling vs. Lucha Underground is tomorrow night at WrestleCon at The Sugar Mill, 1021 Convention Center Boulevard in New Orleans, Louisiana! The event will also be streamed live on Twitch at twitch.tv/ImpactWrestling.

Rosemary announces that next week, Rosemary takes on Taya Valkyrie. Rosemary dares Taya to join her in a demon's dance so they can finish their feud once and for all.

Backstage, Mackenzie Mitchell interviews Josh Mathews and "Reborn" Matt Sydal. Sydal says Petey William brought bad vibes that cost him the Impact Wrestling Grand Championship last week, and Josh Mathews blames the loss on Austin Aries, as Aries cost him what he has worked for for years and was gifted to him by Sydal. He says that he hates Aries and that they will be Aries' downfall. Sydal tells Mathews that he will handle Petey Williams at Reemption. Mathews says that he is a trained wrestler, and that he proved that he was tough enough to be a wrestler. He then says that next week, he will take on Petey Williams in a wrestling match next week and destroy the Canadian Destroyer.

Backstage, KM tells "The Standby Wrestler" Richard Justice that he has a match. After he tells Justice where the ring entrance is, he demands the producers play Justice's music.

KM shows up after "The Standby Wrestler" Richard Justice has made his way to the ring, and says he is out here to tell Justice that he thinks he is a fat, disgusting embarrassment to the professional wrestling business and Impact Wrestling, and tells him he is so fat that when he orders a bowl of cereal, it comes with a lifeguard. He then tells him that he is so fat that when he goes to a restaurant and the waiter hands him a menu, he says "Yes, please." After two more fat jokes, he gets to the punchline and punches out Richard Justice, and Fallah Bahh runs into the ring to fight KM. The Cult of Lee (Trevor Lee and Caleb Konley) then run in and attack Bahh and Justice, then Tyrus runs into the ring and fights off KM and The Cult of Lee with ease. Tyrus says he is back and that he can still smash, and that he does not like shaming and bullying as the bullies have more problems than the victims. He then goes on to make fun of KM and The Cult of Lee.

Backstage, Mackenzie Mitchell interviews Eli Drake. He has a shot at the tag team titles, but Moose wants to take a shot at the tag team titles as well as the world title. He then says that tonight is the night, but all Moose will get for his trouble is a goose egg while he takes both title shots and swims in gold like Scrooge McDuck.

Johnny Impact beats Taiji Ishimori. After the match, Jimmy Jacobs and Kongo Kong show up. Johnny tries to go at it with Kongo Kong, but Kongo Kong quickly overpowers him. When he gets Johnny back into the ring, however, Johnny hits him with a springboard enziguri that knocks Kongo Kong off the apron followed by a pescado to the outside. Jimmy Jacobs then holds Kongo Kong back after this.

We see a video package previewing Alberto El Patron vs. Austin Aries for the Impact Wrestling World Championship at Redemption.

Backstage, Mackenzie Mitchell interviews Moose. Moose says he does not worry about anybody, especially Eli Drake, whom he has never lost a match to. He is starting to believe this year is a year of giving, as he not only has a shot at the world title at anytime, but he will have a shot at the tag team titles at any time he wishes after tonight.

The GWN Flashback Moment of the Week is "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal vs. Kurt Angle at No Surrender 2007 for the TNA X Division Championship.

At the Latin-American Xchange clubhouse, Santana and Ortiz are happy to be tag team champions again. Konnan says he is watching who will win the Case vs. Case match between Eli Drake and Moose, and that it does not matter to him who will win as LAX will take out whoever faces them for the tag team titles.

Eli Drake beats Moose in a Case vs. Case Match to retain his shot at the tag team titles and to win Moose's case for the tag team title shot. During the match, Eli Drake ducks the Gamechanger, which knocks out referee John E. Bravo. Afterwards, oVe (Jake Crist, Dave Crist, Sami Callihan) run in and attack Moose to get back at Eddie Edwards, who runs in and fights Sami Callihan. This distracts Jake and Dave Crist, who are tossed out of the ring by Moose. Eli Drake then attacks Moose with Sami Callihan's baseball bat, but Moose kicks out at two. It takes the Gravy Train for Eli Drake to put Moose away.

Here are the top five moments from tonight's show!
