Generation NXT - NXT recap for April 5, 2017

Peyton Royce beats Aliyah.

In footage from after NXT TakeOver: Orlando, Asuka simply says "Who's left? I'm still champion."

Heavy Machinery (Tucker Knight and Otis Dozovich) beat The Bollywood Boyz (Harv and Gurv Sihra).

Oney Lorcan has no idea who his opponent is, but it doesn't matter. He's here to compete, do his job, and win.

In footage from after NXT TakeOver: Orlando, Paul Ellering says The Authors of Pain's victory is both vindication and condemnation. He says The Authors have proved themselves to be a team of destiny, and that destiny cannot be stopped as they will become a dynasty.

We see a video package of everything leading up to "The King of Strong Style" Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Bobby Roode for the NXT Championship at NXT TakeOver: Orlando, footage of the match itself, and what happened after the match. We then see a video package of Nakamura's journey through NXT. In post-match footage, Bobby Roode says he did what he said he would do and beat Nakamura a second time, and that he has taken NXT to new heights and will continue in the months to come.

It is finally official: Drew McIntyre is back and in NXT. We see footage from the night of NXT TakeOver: Orlando, where McIntyre says straight up that he has signed with NXT and wants the NXT Championship. He will make his first appearance in NXT next week.

Oney Lorcan's mystery opponent is El Vagabundo, who is obviously "The Drifter" Elias Sampson in a mask. El Vagabundo plays for the crowd, and Lorcan stops him, making it plain as day that even El Vagabundo knows he's The Drifter, and tells him to drift away.

Oney Lorcan beats El Vagabundo with a running blockbuster after unmasking him, revealing El Vagabundo to be none other than "The Drifter" Elias Samson. After the match, the head od security shows up, asking Samson to leave, but Samson gets back in the ring instead. The head of security grabs Samson and forcibly removes Samson to end the show.
