Raw Deal - Raw recap for October 10, 2016

Lita interviews Bayley backstage during the pre-show. Bayley never thought that she would be on the main roster, but at the same time, she's not where she wants to be in the title picture. Nevertheless, she is determined to get a shot at the Raw Women's title and put it around her waist, regardless of who she has to go through.

Sin Cara is now part of the Raw Cruiserweight Division. He can't wait to make history, and he also meets Lince Dorado, who says that they are teaming up as he thanks him for paving the way for guys like him. Tony Nese and Drew Gulak show up, and Nese says the last thing the division needs is "masked goons" like Sin Cara. Gulak tells Sin Cara that he and Nese will prove that Sin Cara entering the Cruiserweight Division will be the biggest and last mistake of his career.

Bo Dallas tells Curtis Axel that the Bo he used to know is better off left alone, as nobody Bolieves in him. Bo continues to rhyme as Curtis Axel says he can get with Mick Foley to get a tag match tonight.

It is announced by Lita during the pre-show that we will hear from Paul Heyman tonight on Raw. Also, it is overheard through Lana that Rusev is more than willing to exercise his rematch clause against Roman Reigns for the WWE United States Championship.

Sasha Banks starts off tonight's show. She says it wasn't that long ago that she watched her heroes Eddie Guerrero, Trish Stratus and Lita both on TV and in the cheap seats, and then says she finally joined her hereos by taking back the Raw Women's title last week. She knows Charlotte wants her rematch for the title, and she wants to up the ante by making it a Hell in a Cell match. Charlotte shows up...but so does Rusev and Lana. Rusev says nobody cares about Sasha's match, as he is the main event wherever he goes. Charlotte tells Rusev not to disrespect the queen, and tells Sasha that her idea of a Hell in a Cell match is on. Rusev takes the microphone and says this is his ring and what he says goes. Sasha smacks the mike away from Rusev, and Lana picks it up to tell them that they should know their place, that they whine like little girls and that Hell in a Cell is made for real men like Rusev. This leads to Lana being shoved and Rusev ebing drop kicked out of the ring by Charlotte and Sasha. Roman Reigns shows up, and Rusev and Lana get out of the ring while they still can.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) show up and talk about famous brothers, including Danny Tanner and Uncle Jesse from Full House, which takes place in the Bay Area. They then mention Cesaro and Sheamus, as well as Cesaro's five different language and the belief that Sheamus is still hot garbage. They mention that Cesaro and Sheamus have a shot at the Raw tag titles, and promise that they will retain the titles at Hell in a Cell. Cesaro shows up, and so does Sheamus...if only to get in front of the camera and get some attention away from him.

Kofi Kingston beats Cesaro is distracted by Sheamus stealing Francesca II before Xavier Woods and Big E fight Sheamus. Cesaro and Sheamus briefly argue after the match.

Roman Reigns and Sasha Banks will face off against Charlotte and Rusev later tonight as per General Manager Mick Foley.

We hear comments from Goldberg on last Wednesday's SportsCenter. He says he doesn't owe Brock Lesnar a rematch from WrestleMania 20, as he beat him once and he can beat him again, even though he'd have to work hard to catch up to him as Lesnar is a completely different human being now.

Bayley beats Cami Fields. Dana Brooke attacks Bayley at the entrance ramp.

R-Truth overhears Chris Jericho on his cellphone asking for a payday...for a Payday advertisement.

Sin Cara and Lince Dorado beat Tony Nese and Drew Gulak.

General Manager Mick Foley is all dressed up for the Hell in a Cell Address. Commissioner Stephanie McMahon joins him backstage.

Commissioner Stephanie McMahon and General Manager Mick Foley are in the ring for the Hell In A Cell Address. Stephanie admits No Mercy was incredible, but says Hell In A Cell will blow it away. He says that the women deserve to make history and officially makes Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte for the Raw Women's title a Hell In A Cell Match. He also makes Seth Rollins vs. Kevin Owens a Hell In A Cell Match. Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho show up, and Owens calls the decision to make his match a Hell In A Cell Match a stupid decision as he doesn't want to be in one as he wants to have a nice, long career and not be "washed up" like Foley. Jericho accuses Foley of giving requests like a genie and having a vendetta against him, and puts Foley on the list...again. Stephanie McMahon tells Jericho to give Mick Foley respect when he tells her to "take care of this guy," and reminds him that Seth Rollins wants revenge not only on Owens but on him as well. She puts forth the idea of Jericho facing Rollins tonight, and if Jericho wins, he enters the Universal title match, making it a Triple THreat Match.

He also says that Stephanie McMahon is trying to manipulate Kevin Owens, and also questions what Chris Jericho will do if he manages to get into the match somehow, wondering what Kevin Owens would think of it, before promising that he will take the Universal title at Hell In A Cell.

Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson attack Enzo Amore and Big Cass before the latter team can take on Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel.

A cheated Curtis Axel asks for two men to come face him and Bo Dallas so he can prove he Bolieves in Bo Dallas. Sami Zayn and Neville answer the challenge.

Sami Zayn and Neville beat Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel. Bo Dallas silently heads out after the match, unperturbed at his team's defeat.

Charlotte meets Lana backstage, and Lana says Charlotte had no right to put her hands on her. Charlotte tells Lana she is more physically superior than her, and that she should stay out of her way. Lana tells her to stay out of Rusev's way, or there will be consequences.

Titus O'Neil shows up as The Golden Truth (R-Truth and Goldust) and The Shining Stars (Primo and Epico) are backstage, and challenges R-Truth to a match saying that R-Truth has "ruined negotioations for the Titus brand" by getting the Payday deal.

R-Truth gets a surprise win on Titus O'Neil.

Brian Kendrick confronts TJ Perkins backstage. Perkins knows that Kendrick is afraid of losing his one chance to make it big in WWE again, and says he doesn't have to rely on cheap attacks to cement himself in the Cruiserweight Division. He mentions the good times they had together, and tells him that it's not too late to be The Brian Kendrick and the guy that he really knows as he offers to shake his hand. Kendrick tries to attack him instead, but Perkins is ready for it and lands the first punch instead of him, knocking Kendrick down.

Members of the Oakland Raiders are in the front row.

Byron Saxton interviews The Splash Brothers (Steven and Clay Splash), who are ready to make a splash, get in the deep end and take on Braun Strowman.

Braun Stromwan quickly beats The Splash Brothers (Steven and Clay Splash). After the match, Strowman grabs the mic and demands real competition. He says that if twenty men like The Splash Brothers were in the ring, they'd be a pile of bodies. He demands real competition, or the consequences will be on General Manager Mick Foley's hands.

Royal Rumble, by the numbers.

Roman Reigns and Sasha Banks beat Rusev and Charlotte after a Banks Statement on Charlotte.

Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho are talking backstage when Tom Phillips interviews them. Owens says that no matter what match he gets at Hell In A Cell, he will retain the Universal Championship. He also says that one member of the team has to stay healthy while the other takes a bullet, and agrees with Jericho when he says that if one of them is Universal champ, both of them are Universal champ. Tom Phillip then makes the list for not leaving when told to, albeit under the name "Phillipe Thomastein."

Paul Heyman is in the ring. He addresses the possibility of a rematch between Bill Goldberg and Brock Lesnar, and says that he is annoyed that Goldberg has one win up on Lesnar for the last 12 years. Paul Heyman then challenges Goldberg to a fight on Lesnar's behalf, anywhere, anyplace, anytime. He then tells Goldberg that in Suplex City, he isn't Goldberg, he's next.

Brian Kendrick guests on commentary for the next match.
