Curt Hawkins finally arrives in WWE again...and then leaves, but not before announcing that on SmackDown, he will finally have his first match.
Alexa Bliss learns from Commissioner Shane McMahon and General Manager Daniel Bryan that Becky Lynch is injured and cannot compete tonight. Alexa will stay #1 contender to the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship and will get her shot at the title on November 8th. She does, however, have a match tonight.
The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) are in the Social Media Lounge. Their new attitude is inspired by the WWE Universe booing them. Regarding their attack on American Alpha (Jason Jordan and Chad Gable), they insist that they are not jealous of them, as they have the tag team title match tonight, not American Alpha. They also don't care about The New Day's record tag team title accolade on Raw.
American Alpha (Jason Jordan and Chad Gable) and The Hype Bros (Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley) beat The Vaudevillains (Aiden English and Simon Gotch) and The Ascension (Konnor and Viktor).
Both John Cena and Dean Ambrose force AJ Styles to submit to an STF and a reversed Calf Killer simultaneously. However, the match continues as both Cena and Ambrose continue to fight each other. AJ Styles retains the WWE World Championship against John Cena and Dean Ambrose in a Triple Threat Match after using a steel chair to his advantage.
Nikki Bella beats Carmella with what is now called Rack Attack 2.0.
The Miz speaks to Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon, and says the show will get better when he retires Dolph Ziggler, which he tells Daniel Bryan that he will share some blame for due to pushing Ziggler to the point he is at. He also demands another contract re-negotiation once Ziggler is off the payroll.
Heath Slater and Rhyno retain the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships against The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso).
Bray Wyatt speaks random gibberish before singing "He's Got The Whole World In His Hands."
Baron Corbin beats Jack Swagger after grabbing the apron during the Patriot Lock to break the hold before hitting Swagger with a thumb to the eye prior to the End of Days.
Dolph Ziggler beats The Miz to become WWE Intercontinental Champion and stay in WWE in a Title vs. Career Match despite the interference of Maryse and Kenny and Mikey of The Spirit Squad.
Randy Orton is in the bathroom backstage when the mirror's reflection warps.
Alexa Bliss shows up, says Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon are protecting Becky Lynch and that Becky is afraid of losing the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship to her. Suddenly, we find out that Naomi is Alexa Bliss' opponent.
Naomi beats Alexa Bliss after reversing the Cross Arm Breaker into a roll-up.
Bray Wyatt beats Randy Orton after Orton is distracted by the sudden return of Luke Harper.
On Talking Smack, Alexa Bliss expresses her disappointment at losing to Naomi tonight, and says that Naomi's sudden roll-up from reversing her Cross Arm Breaker, saying it's not a "real win," that she would beat Naomi again and that she still deserves to be #1 contender for the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship. Also, General Manager Daniel Bryan and Commissioner Shane McMahon confirm that they have just signed Luke Harper to SmackDown and that they did not expect him to make an impact this soon. It is also announced that Daniel Bryan is going to be a father. We then hear from Dolph Ziggler, who says that putting his career on the line was what gave him the spark to come out on top against The Miz, win the Intercontinental Championship and stay in the WWE, and admits that The Miz is a great all-around guy who is good at representing the company. Shane tells Ziggler that he and Miz brought down the house tonight.
