Total Bellas Island - Total Bellas recap for January 20, 2019

In New York City, Nikki and Nia Jax have some wine in a hotel room. Nikki is more focused on having fun as a single woman, but does have some people in mind for who she would like to date. She also does not want to go back to the dating game right now.

Brie brings up the idea of getting breast implants after having bigger, perkier breasts back when she was lactating.

Nikki and J.J. - the latter of whom is in New York City - walk around in a park. They also throw a football at a tree that looks like a vagina.

Brie talks with Bryan about getting breast implants as well as the inserts she is wearing right now. Bryan does not understand why Brie wants implants, especially since her comfort with her body was what drew him to her. They continue to talk about it at a restaurant, where Bryan says he is 100% behind whatever choice she makes.

At SummerSlam, Brie and Nikki catch up with other Superstars backstage before starting their comeback storyline later that night. Brie and Nikki also watch Bryan's match on a television monitor.

Brie and Nikki take part in an interview with Renee Young at SummerSlam, then get a front row view of "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey beating Alexa Bliss for the WWE Raw Women's Championship. Brie and Nikki celebrate with Ronda after the match.

After the show, Brie talks to Kathy and J.J. about her inserts and her plans for getting breast implants. Meanwhile, Kathy tries to find a date for Nikki at the bar. She finds a guy named Andre, and asks Andre to join them tomorrow night.

Brie and the family walk around in New York City, and J.J. and Brie talk about Kathy finding a boyfriend for Nikki. Kathy proposes that they lie about how they met Andre to Nikki, and to only tell the truth if Nikki thinks things do not add up.

Nikki meets with the family at a club. We are introduced to Brie and Nikki's step-sister Maya, who is also Johnny's daughter and is considering following Brie and Nikki's footsteps into a career in professional wrestling. Johnny asks Brie and Nikki to mentor Maya, which Nikki considers a huge honor.

In the limousine, Maya talks to Nikki about her family's history in the wrestling business, and while she wants to follow in their footsteps, she also has more passion and excitement for a modeling career. Nikki proposes jump-starting her modeling career with a Birdiebee photo shoot.

Brie talks to Kathy about getting breast implants once again as she goes to a cosmetic surgeon's office for a consultation. Kathy tells her to go into her consultation with an open mind. At the office, she learns that she can have fat from elsewhere in her body injected into her breasts so that she does not have to get implants, and that she should wait on this until after giving birth again if she wants to have a second child, or else her body will change again.

Brie and Nikki do a Birdiebee photo shoot with Maya.

J.J. and Nikki head to a restaurant with the rest of the family. Unbeknownst to Nikki, this is the set-up for a blind date with Andre, who shows up and meets Brie, Bryan and J.J. before meeting the rest of the family. Nikki knows immediately that everyone has set her up on a blind date. Brie and Nikki head to the restroom, and Nikki tells Brie that she knows what is going on. When they return, Nikki makes it known that she knows that Kathy set her up with Andre. Maya mentions her Birdiebee photo shoot, which Johnny had no prior knowledge of. Johnny is not exactly thrilled to hear about it this way, but Maya says she did not want to hurt her father's feeling and that she just wants to model. Bryan tells Maya that the door to wrestling is still open and that she should get into her passion, but she should at least tell her father, who is understandably behind Maya's decision. Kathy apologizes for trying to set Nikki up with an awkward blind date, and while Nikki admits there is no connection between her and Andre, Andre is brave enough to go along with everything.

Back in San Diego, California, Brie tells Bryan that she has gotten a phone call from WWE creative, and that they will have a mixed tag match at Hell In A Cell. Brie and Bryan then try to figure out how to juggle their work schedules with taking care of Birdie and giving her a stable environment for the next ten weeks.

After the match, Vinny Marseglia shows up, but it is just a distraction that allows Matt Taven to hit Rush in the back with his facsimile ROH World Championship. After this, Taven, O'Ryan and Marseglia grab steel chairs, place a steel chair on top of Rush's head and smacks it into Rush's skull with three steel chairs.

Rhett Titus replaces Caprice Coleman on commentary for the next match.

Before the next match, The Beer City Bruiser says that he has realized that "The Last Real Man" Silas Young sucks for using him as a means to get to the top and saying that their friendship means nothing. He also tells Silas that instead of a wrestling match, they must have a fight, and asks referee Todd Sinclair to make the match no-disqualification.

After the match, Eli Drake leaves the commentary table and tells Eddie to look at what he has done to himself, and tells him that if he packs down a few more pancakes and beers, he will look like Tommy Dreamer. He tells Eddie that he used to be a champion wrestler, but now he has gone hardcore and it has not gotten him back into the title scene. Eli says it should be time to don the green tights and become the Eddie Edwards of old again. Eli then proposes a challenge to Eddie: drop the Kendo stick and find the champion that he used to be, for all he sees right now is a hardcore loser.

Suddenly, Baszler shows up with Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir. Shayna says she doesn't see what makes Bianca the best, since she is the strongest and fastest, but not he smartest. She says that if Bianca had half a brain, she would know she would disarm her at NXT TakeOver: Phoenix. Bianca says all her arms are doing are holding up the Women's title, but Shayna says Bianca is like every opponent she has faced who won't put their money where their mouth is and fight her.
