In footage from earlier today, Candice LeRae says that she is excited for Johnny Gargano's NXT Championship match at NXT TakeOver: New York when Aliyah and Vanessa Borne show up. Aliyah and Vanessa Borne say that she and Gargano will be failures together on Friday night and that LeRae is not built to be a champion. LeRae says she will earn her title opportunity and she will start by kicking Aliyah on her ass.

Jaxson Ryker beats Oney Lorcan.

In footage from earlier today, Keith Lee says he is here to find a conclusion to his conflict with Dominik Dijakovic, and while he is not a "chosen one," he took the initiative to be the first in General Manager William Regal's office and the rematch will happen in two weeks. He promises to make Dijakovic bask in his glory.

Next week: Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) vs. Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel! Candice LeRae vs. Aliyah!

Bianca Belair vs. Kairi Sane ends with "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir attacking both women. Generation NXT - NXT recap for January 16, 2019

Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) beat The Metro Brothers (Chris and JC Metro). After the match, The Forgotten Sons (Jaxson Ryker, Steve Cutler, Wesley Blake) show up and attack Street Profits, and the numbers game catches up to Montez Ford as the crowd chants "We forgot you!" When Angelo Dawkins crawls into the ring to check on Montez Ford, The Forgotten Sons attack him, too.

In footage from earlier today, Cathy Kelley interviews "The King of Bros" Matt Riddle, who says he is not medically cleared and cannot be in Keith Lee's corner as Lee shows Kassius Ohno why he is limitless. He hopes that Kassius leaves some of Ohno left for him.

We hear from Aleister Black, who asks Tommaso Ciampa if he feels the days of NXT TakeOver: Phoenix at hand. He says everyone feels it like them, and that he will absolve Ciampa of his sins when he takes the NXT title back. He also proposes they start the fight a little early next week.

Bianca Belair shows up. She says that chaos tried to stop her rise, but when she sent Nikki Cross packing, she showed that nobody will stop her climb and that this is her year to win the NXT Women's Championship. She says she sees "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler thinking she is the baddest, then says she will take the Women's title because she is undefeated. Suddenly, Baszler shows up with Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir. Shayna says she doesn't see what makes Bianca the best, since she is the strongest and fastest, but not he smartest. She says that if Bianca had half a brain, she would know she would disarm her at NXT TakeOver: Phoenix. Bianca says all her arms are doing are holding up the Women's title, but Shayna says Bianca is like every opponent she has faced who won't put their money where their mouth is and fight her. She says that Bianca is scared that she will break her arms, silence the hype and change her vocabulary from "undefeated" to "overrated." Bianca and Shayna stare down as "overrated" and "undefeated" chants alternate, then Shayna says that Duke and Shafir are the least of her worries when Bianca slaps her. Duke and Shafir try to fight Bianca, but Bianca manages to duck and weave her way out of the ring.

Dominik Dijakovic beats Adrian Jauode.

We hear from War Raiders, who set an effigy of two steel chairs with The Undisputed Era's (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong) logo on fire. They respect what they have done in NXT and the pieces of them that they have taken, but they say that empires crumble and fall as they celebrate their own victories over The Undisputed Era. They say that at NXT TakeOver: Phoenix, their era will end, and that is undisputed.

Johnny Gargano beats Humberto Carrillo.

We hear from Tommasso Ciampa, who says that Aleister Black loves referring to him as "the puppet master." He says that Aleister is "the ultimate puppet" and is gullible enough to believe that he will take the fight to him and win. He says that the champ fights on the biggest, grandest stage, and that they will wait until NXT TakeOver: Phoenix. He then tells Aleister to be careful what he wishes for.

Next week: Velveteen Dram! Ricochet and Johnny Gargano!

Kassius Ohno beats Keith Lee after shoving Lee into the referee before hitting Lee with a low blow. After the match, "The King of Bros" Matt Riddle rushes into the ring while two referees try to stop him, and Kassius Ohno runs away. Riddle then checks on Keith Lee.

Generation NXT - NXT recap for September 12, 2018

At the beginning of the show, Tommaso Ciampa stays silent as he heads into Full Sail University.

British Strong Style (Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch) beat Cezar Bononi and Adrian Jauode.

Tommaso Ciampa shows up, and for the first time since the break-up of #DIY after his attack on Johnny Gargano, Ciampa has his own entrance music and video. Ciampa calls his entrance a message to the fans in which he politely tells them to shut up. He says that he has heard the whispers and seen everyone point the figure at him over who took over Aleister Black over the last month, and says he does not care what the fans think. Gargano says that if he wants to confront someone and beat them up, he does it in front of an audience so that they can "worship their master at work." He refuses to lie to the fans, saying "the champ never lies," and says he had all the intentions of taking out Aleister before TakeOver. Unfortunately, someone beat him to the punch, and he wants to know who did so he can pat them on the back for a job well done. Gargano tells everyone not to get things confused, and even if he were involved, he would still have been the winner in the end while Aleister and Gargano lost. He then "talks" to the NXT Championship, and says that the title has said to him that it is happy to be back in the main event of TakeOver. Gargano says he is the champion of champions and the greatest success history in NXT history. Before he leaves, he tells everyone that if they want to be a success, a winner and a champion, then all they have to do is follow the lead of Tommaso Ciampa.

"The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler beat Violet Payne with the Kirafuda Clutch after an Americana followed by a stomp to the elbow. After the match, Baszler heads up the ramp, then runs back down to ringside and put Violey Payne in the Kirafuda Clutch again. Referees have to run in to get Baszler to break the hold. She does, then puts her in the hold yet again before tossing her out of the ring.

We see footage from just earlier where Heavy Machinery (Tucker Knight and Otiz Dozovic) are confronted by Tommaso Ciampa for naming him the suspect in the attack on Aleister Black. Suddenly, General Manager William Regal shows up and demands Ciampa come to his office. Regal tells Dozovic that if he and Ciampa want to fight, they will have to do it another time.

We hear from The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong). Strong says that they are too popular to hide from anybody, including War Raiders, and O'Reilly says that they are sneak attacking cowards. Fish agrees with O'Reilly, and Cole says that they can talk about War Raiders all week, but next week, Pete Dunne and Ricochet face each other in a champion vs. champion and the winner will fail to beat him for the North American title. He then says that regardless of who The Undisputed Era take on, they're are not on their level.

Lars Sullivan beats Raul Mendoza.

We see footage from earlier today where Pete Dunne, who says that what happened two weeks ago is Ricochet's fault, and while he got in The Undisputed Era's business, Ricochet has some gold that he wants. He says that Ricochet has held his title for five minutes, while he is the longest-reigning champion in WWE. All he has to figure out now is how to put two championship belts in his mouth.

Cathy Kelley interviews Ricochet, who says he has been in high-pressure situations for over 15 years and Pete Dunne is just another hurdle he has to leap over. He plans to become NXT's one and only dual champion next week.

We see a vignette for The Forgotten Sons (Wesley Blake, Steve Cutler, Jaxson Ryker).

We see footage from last week where Aliyah, Dakota Kai and Lacey Evans argue when Deonna Purrazzo show up ready to challenge them to a tag team match. Lacey and Aliyah walk away. That match will happen next week.

Kassius Ohno speaks with General Manager William Regal concerning the attack on Aleister Black. Regal says that Ohno seems perturbed, but Ohno says he would be too if he showed up and got leapfrogged by newer talent concerning opportunities upon his return. He tells him that when "his new shiny toy" gets here, he will take care of him.

Nikki Cross and Bianca Belair wrestle to a double count-out. After the match, referees have to break up a post-match brawl, and Bianca Belair has to toss Nikki Cross over the announce table. This does not stop Cross, who takes out Belair and all of the referees with a cross body off the table.

Generation NXT - NXT recap for August 8, 2018

Nikki Cross beats Amber Nova.

We see a vignette for Keith Lee, who is coming to NXT tonight.

The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong) brings out a knocked-out Ricochet before the next match can begin. Adam Cole says he is not a coward and does not back down from anybody, and that Ricochet is battered and bruised while he stands tall as the one and only North American Champion. Cole then says that when he beats Ricochet at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV, that will still be undisputed.

Backstage, Vanessa Borne says her gameplan against Taynara Conti is to win, and says she does not want to deprive the fans of "the vision." Tonight, she and the world will both get what they deserve, and she will take the final spot in the Mae Young Classic.

Kassius Ohno beats Adrian Jauode.

We see footage of Ethan Carter III's and Velveteen Dream's poolside summit. The two of them take a walk, and The Dream teases tosses EC3 into the pool. EC3, having come to The Dream's house wanting to fight, says that this match is worth waiting for. He proposes that they go at it at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV instead. The Dream thinks that EC3 is disrespecting him, and as he says that he respects him, drops his sunglasses. EC3 goes to pick them up, and The Dream charges at him. EC3 sees it coming and throws him into the shallow end of the pool before leaving. The Dream screams for help, but EC3 tells him it's only three feet deep.

Next week: Velveteen Dream live!

Keith Lee beats Marcel Barthal.

We hear from Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford), who host another episode of Street Talk in front of an ATM. Marcel Ford says that The Mighty (Shane Thorne and Nick Miller) think that Street Profits are jokes. Street Profits make fun of The Mighty's new name and says they want none of Street Profits. Street Profits and The Mighty will face off next week.

Taynara Conti beats Vanessa Borne to qualify for the Mae Young Classic.

Next week: Kairi Sane vs. Aliyah! Tyler Bate vs. Roderick Strong!

Two-time UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez is seen in the crowd.

Johnny Gargano vs. Aleister Black ends with Tommaso Ciampa showing up, tossing Gargano out of the ring and attacking Aleister, setting in motion a brawl between all three men that referees have to rush into the ring to break up. Suddenly, General Manager William Regal shows up and says this is getting out of control and that all three men are hell-bent on destroying each other. He has no intent to control or prevent this; instead, he will let it happen, as the NXT Championship will now be decided in a Triple Threat Match between Gargano, Aleister and Ciampa at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV.
