Generation NXT - NXT recap for June 1, 2021

Pete Dunne vs. Johnny Gargano vs. Kyle O'Reilly in a Triple Threat Match ends in a no-contest after Adam Cole shows up and destroys all three men with a steel chair. General Manager William Regal shows up with two members of security, and demands that Adam Cole leave. Cole leaves the ring, but not before superkicking O'Reilly one last time, causing security to force Cole backstage.

After the commercial break, Adam Cole is forced out of the building as Ember Moon calls out Raquel Gonzalez after what happened to Shotzi Blackheart last week. Raquel shows up and forces her way past General Manager William Regal, but Ember Moon overpowers her. As security and Regal hold Raquel back, Ember Moon is suddenly attacked from behind by Dakota Kai. Dakota then leaves with Raquel. Regal then checks on Ember Moon.

In footage from earlier today, Drake Maverick is surrounded by Ever-Rise (Chase Parker and Matt Martel) when Hit Row (Isaiah "Swerve" Scott, Ashante "Thee" Adonis, Top Dolla, B-Fab) shows up. Hit Row takes the three of them lightly, and Killian Dain jumps in when Swerve gets in Drake's face.

Later on in the match, Cameron Grimes shows up and talks with Ted DiBiase. As he does, Jake Atlas starts gaining the momentum in the match. After the match, Ted DiBiase shakes his head as he heads to the back.

He says it was no mistake that he held the title for 483 days, then Karrion Kross and Scarlett show up. Kross tells Adam Cole his motives are understandable, and that whatever he does will not change the grand scheme of things, for when he showed up, Adam Cole was no longer special. Cole tells Kross he will never be him, and while NXT has done everything in their power to make Kross feel special, all NXT has to do make him special is ring the bell, for Kross could not lace his boots even on his best day and everyone knows that. He says that he is special, not Kross, and that Kross is just the guy who has his property.
