Final IMPACT - IMPACT Wrestling recap for October 19, 2023

KiLynn King beats Jody Threat in the BTI Match after feigning a knee injury, allowing her to shove Jody into the ring post as soon as she turns her back before hitting the King's Curse back inside the ring for the win.

"Speedball" Mike Bailey beats Samuray del Sol.

We hear from Dirty Dango, Alpha Bravo and Oleg Prudius. Dirty Dango says he stayed in his hotel room instead of going to the gym after realizing how "dirty and ghetto" the gym would be. As for why he has allied with Oleg Prudius, he says it is "always good to have a good accountant," and that Oleg "not only fought John Wick, but beat John Wick and sent him to Italy." He says Alpha Bravo will throw himself on the grenade while Oleg Prudius "is the grenade."

We hear from ABC ("Inevitable" Ace Austin and Chris Bey). Ace Austin says The Rascalz (Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz) have ducked them ever since they returned to IMPACT, and Chris Bey says they don't know how to beat ABC. Austin says this has come to its conclusion at Bound For Glory, and Chris Bey says they have been starving for the tag team titles and that The Rascalz will pay after they teach them a lesson.

Kenny King beats Heath following the distraction by Sheldon Jean.

Brian Myers and Moose - now known as "The Most Professional Wrestling Gods" - beat PCO and Rhino. During the match, Rhino is about to hit Moose with a Gore when Steve Maclin pulls Rhino out of the ring and sends him into the ring post. Bully Ray shows up and stops Maclin from attacking Rhino further, and after PCO takes out Maclin on the outside, Moose kicks the middle rope into PCO's crotch when PCO tries to get back in the ring and hits the Spear for the win.

We hear from MK Ultra (Masha Slamovich and Killer Kelly). They warn Tasha Steelz and "The Virtuosa" Deonna Purrazzo that they have stepped into their world, and that they will be pawns in their game and there will be no escape. Killer Kelly says they will be twisted and broken, and that they will never forget what they can do, for they are the architects of destruction and they will fall.

Backstage, Rhino tells Bully Ray that he does not trust him or need his help. Bully Ray says "You're welcome," as Rhino leaves.

Final IMPACT - IMPACT Wrestling recap for August 24, 2023

Champagne Singh beats Russ Jones after raking Jones' eyes. After the match, Champagne Singh says that the last time he was in Chicago, Illinois, the fans were unappreciative when he was named #1 contender to the IMPACT World Championship and he was booed out of the building. He then says he and Singh are the best wrestlers Chicago has ever seen before PCO suddenly shows up.

The main show starts with PCO stepping into the ring with Shera and Champagne Singh. Shera gets clotheslined and sent running, and Singh meets the same fate before PCO takes them out with a somersault senton to the outside between the ropes. PCO soon takes out members of security and places Singh on a table before putting him through it with the Deanimator. Suddenly, Bully Ray shows up on the video screen and states that he, not Singh, is the one PCO wants to put through a table. Bully Ray then states that he will not leave his hotel room due to IMPACT not being able to guarantee his safety. He says that PCO will not be able to find him, but he will find him, and that he will prove that he is the only one who can take out Perfect Creation One. PCO then runs to the back.

Trinity beats Jody Threat.

We hear from Jake Something, who talks about his upcoming match with Sanada, and while not everybody knows who Jake Something is, he will take Sanada down at Emergence.

In memory of Terry Funk, 1944 - 2023.

We see a quick recap for Multiverse United 2.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander. Josh says it took five long months with his own thoughts, nerves and doubts to get back to Impact, but everything went away in an instant at Multiverse United 2, for he was back where he belongs. He has the Impact World Championship on his mind, and after Emergence, he will keep an eye on the title to see who he will challenge next.

Deaner beats Laredo Kid after Laredo Kid takes out Kon on the outside before rolling back into the ring and rolling right into the Antidote. After the match, Deaner calls out Eric Young, telling him that when the story began, Eric Young was the author and the designer and he created him in his own image, yet it got him lying on a floor with a knife in his heart and left for dead. He then says that Eric Young decided to rise again and finish his story, but in this story, he is no longer the author and that he, not Eric Young, is the author and the designer and in control, and that he is the design. Deaner then dictates that only he choose how this story ends, and states that the story will end at Emergence in a no-disqualification match.

We see a very weird and very 1990s video package for Johnny Swinger prior to his Digital Media Championship match with Kenny King.

Backstage, Gia Miller tries to interview PCO as he looks for Bully Ray.

Before the next match, Jason Hotch tells ABC that they were not paid off by The Rascalz (Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz), calling it as much of a lie as Chicago, Illinois being clean or safe, and states there is a reason Michael Jordan never came back to Chicago after he retired.

ABC ("Inevitable" Ace Austin and "Dashing" Chris Bey) beat The Good Hands (John Skyler and Jason Hotch).

We hear from Subculture (Mark Andrews, "Flash" Morgan Webster, Dani Luna). Webster says they have defending the IMPACT tag tiles left, right and center and look forward to defending at Emergence. We see a video package chronicling the events leading to "The Virtuosa" Deonna Purrazzo vs. Trinity for the IMPACT Knockouts World Championship at Emergence.

Chris Sabin beats Samuray del Sol.

We see more of Tom Hannifan's interview with Crazzy Steve. Crazzy Steve says that Tom is "the voice of Impact Wrestling" and that his voice has been taken along with his sight, and that he is tried of being abandoned, forgotten and on the receiving end of evil, and if he cannot be the antidote to evil, then perhaps that he needs to be the plague. He says mankind's greatest casualty is the casual blindness for the misfortunate of others, but he finds this blindness to be quite deliberate. As he continues to grasp Tom Hannifan's hands firmly, security moves in only for Crazy Steve to fend them off and spit green mist into one member's face, and demands Tom and everyone tells everyone else that he is comfortable with violence.

We hear from MK Ultra (Masha Slamovich and Killer Kelly). Killer Kelly says that the numbers are against them, and that their first title against is defense three teams as she translates for Masha Slamovich. She says they are not scared and that it means more toys to play with, which means more control and pain, and that Emergence will be their next experiment.

We see a video package chronicling the events leading up to Eddie Edwards vs. Frankie Kazarian in a "Back To School" Match.

PCO makes it to the hotel room where Bully Ray is staying.

Alex Shelley retains the IMPACT World Championship against Brian Myers with the Border City Stretch. After the match, Moose and Bully Ray rush in and attack Shelley, even though Bully Ray claimed earlier in the show that he was at his hotel room. As Omega is about to hit Angels with a One-Winged Angel on the chair, Adam Page shows up, levels MT Nakazawa with a clothesline and sends Omega retreating after Angels takes the chair away from Omega. As Omega retreats, he leaves the AEW World Championship, then Page tells Omega he forgot something before letting him take the title, telling him to hold on to it tightly and that he has ten days.

We hear from Malachi Black, who says that the people with power think that their decisions affect more than their own interests. He says Tony Khan barring him from ringside will have no significance on tonight's main event. He says that when Julius Caesar was assassinated, it was not just Marcus who betrayed him.

CM Punk heads to the ring. As the crowd chants "CM Punk," Punk says that is not the name he needs to hear right now, as there are two people who are not here today and one of them has a legitimate reason for that, and that name is Jon Moxley. The crowd chants for Jon Moxley, and Punk says he can sit in the ring all night long for people to chant for Moxley. He admits that he and Moxley may not be the best of friends, and says that he knows where it is like to take himself off the hamster wheel after helping others. Punk says that he is proud of Moxley, and he says that if anyone is in a place where they think they need help, they should reach out, as there is nothing harder and more courageous than asking for help, saying there are times he wishes he did. This then brings up the other name who is not here tonight: Eddie Kingston. He says that he was embarrassed for Kingston last week and he does not know what is happening, and says that while he would fight him over a grudge he does not know about, he is not here. He says that if Eddie has the balls, he has the time, and Eddie can see him in St. Louis, Missouri to apologize for interrupting him. CM Punk says that while he considered entering the World Title Eliminator, Kingston is to blame for it not happening. Punk says he will soon find out what kind of man Eddie Kingston is.

We hear from Miro, who says that he cursed and threatened his god and that he is now in the World Title Eliminator. He wants to know if his god is rewarding him or forsaking him, and says that his god will be forgiven when he is loved, forgiven and a champion once again.

Backstage, Alex Marvez interviews The Superkliq (Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, Adam Cole). Adam Cole says that The Dark Order's win last week was a fluke and that The Superkliq will prove how deadly they can be. As Nick Jackson says The Superkliq is afraid of no one, Christian Cage shows up, and Luchasaurus joins him soon after. Chrisian and Luchasaurus fight The Superkliq following a cheap shot, but the numbers game takes over at the stage area. Suddenly, Jungle Boy wipes out The Superkliq with a Swanton Bomb off the stage, but Matt Jackson hits him with a cheap shot in the throat and goes up onto the stage only to be Speared by Christian Cage. Christian Cage goes for a Killswitch on a steel platform near the stage, but gets superkicked by Nick Jackson. Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus soon strike back against The Superkliq, with Nick Jackson getting choke slammed into Adam Cole's back. Jungle Boy then puts Adam Cole in the Snare Trap, but Adam Cole is out. Christian Cage then brings out two chairs hits Adam Cole with a Con-Chair-To.

We see a video package for Kris Statlander vs. Ruby Soho in the TBS Championship Tournament.

The Inner Circle head to the ring. Jericho commends Sammy Guevara for winning against "All Ego" Ethan Page last week, then American Top Team and The Men of the Year show up. Dan Lambert tells Jericho to put some respect on his name after calling him "a dipshit" again, and says he has a collection of killers to pick from for the Minneapolis Street Fight and an open contract, which is taken to the ring by referee Aubrey Edwards. The Inner Circle pick Junior dos Santos, with Hager saying they will drop dos Santos faster than his last fight. Santana also calls out Andre Arlovski. Before the third pick is chosen, Paige VanZant says her schedule is wide open and tells Chris Jericho that there is no Instagram filter than can hide the beating she can give her and that The Inner Circle does not have the balls to take her on. Paige VanZant also says she can take The Inner Circle by herself. Jericho says that is a joke that writes itself and that VanZant should put that on her OnlyFans page. Ortiz then calls VanZant a bitch in Spanish before Jericho picks Dan Lambert for the third pick. Lambert wants none of this, but Jericho starts a "fat-faced dipshit" chant as Lambert says he said it was only fighters and not any member of American Top Team.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone interviews Matt Sydal, Lee Moriarty, Dante Martin and Lio Rush. Sydal congratulates Dante, saying everything he expected out of him came out in their match, then says he and Moriarty are willing to have a tag team match with him and Lio Rush. Lio Rush accepts the challenge, and tells Sydal he will be on the highest flight.

MJF heads to the ring. He tells Darby Allin to "cut the crap," saying that without the two of them, "this company doesn't work." He says they have been top guys for a while, unlike the other two pillars, because they have "it" and the fans know who they are and who they will become: legendary. MJF then wants to know why he is booed while Darby is cheered, then realizes that people hate them because he reminds them they are not successful while Darby is like the fans but knows he cannot function in society. He says that Darby is just like the fans and while never wins, and while he may feel cool now, he is a loser when he gets in the ring. MJF says Darby will lose to him at Full Gear because he is weak and too concerned with battering him instead of beating him. MJF then says that even if Allin can change his ways in ten days, he is still the better wrestler, and says he has not been beaten because he is so good that he can beat Allin with a headlock takeover. Allin, who is sitting in the rafters, admits that he may be an outcast, then says he will maintain his composure and have a wrestling match. MJF leaves before Allin can leave the ring, but his path is blocked by Sting and some men in black with paper masks. Suddenly, Shawn Spears attacks with a chair, and Sting and the men in black are all attacked by The Pinnacle. This does not stop Darby and MJF from brawling in the crowd. Darby eventually sends MJF over the barricade back to ringside with a running clothesline, but MJF retreats and runs away through the crowd.

Andrade el Idolo beats "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes after FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) come out from underneath the ring and hit Cody with the AAA Tag Team Championships as Cody Rhodes goes for a tope suicida while Arn Anderson beats up Jose. He says that Adam Cole has yet to take his advice, and that has earned him a Con-Chair-To from Christian Cage. He says that on Rampage, he will kick Adam Cole's ass.
