Final iMPACT! - TNA iMPACT! recap for January 25, 2024

Jeff Timmons from 1990s boy band 98 Degrees is seen in the crowd before the next match.

Chris Bey beats Kevin Knight. After the match, Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson and James Drake) attack ABC ("Inevitable" Ace Austin and Chris Bey) from behind and lay Ace Austin out. Chris Bey gets in the ring and fights both men, but falls victim to Grit Your Teeth.

We see another vignette for Ash By Elegance.

We hear from Frankie Kazarian, who says that he decides when it is time to talk and that he will talk next week. Rich Swann shows up, and when Swann asks what he is doing, Kazarian says he is taking his career in tohis own hands and suggests he do the same. Kazarian leaves, then AJ Francis shows up and mentions Swann's match at Joe Hendry on Xplosion and offers to be in his corner for the match, offering to help him get from the back of the plane to first class. Swann says he is good and leaves, but AJ Francis says "We'll see."

Dirty Dango and Oleg Prudius beat Dante King and Damian Drake, with Oleg Prudius doing almost all the work while Dango is on the phone up until the end of the match.

Backstage, we hear from Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson and James Drake). Zack Gibson says that they were never pinned at Hard To Kill and that they are not going to wait in line. Director of Authority Santino Marella shows up and confronts Grizzled Young Veterans, and security has to keep ABC ("Inevitable" Ace Austin and Chris Bey) back. Santino puts both teams in a best two-out-of-three series in which the winning team is the TNA World Tag Team Champions, and the series begins next week.

Backstge, Gia Miller interviews "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada and The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley). Shelley says The System (Eddie Edwards, Alisha Edwards, Brian Myers, Moose) are not the standard bearers of the company that they think they are, and Sabin tells everyone to pay attention when the three of them team up tonight. Okada says that tonight, TNA will feel "The Rainmaker."

Jordynne Grace retains the TNA Knockouts World Championship against Trinity following a series of roll-ups and countering Starstruck into a stack-up pinfall attempt. After the match, The Shaw-Tourage (Jai Vidal and Savanna Evans) get in the ring and beat up both women, and "The Quintessential Diva" Gisele Shaw shows up and hits both Trinity and Jordynne with the X from the recent Ultimate X match before nailing Trinity with the Denoument.

Backstage, we hear from The System (Eddie Edwards, Alisha Edwards, Brian Myers, Moose). Eddie says they have been the standard bearers for a long time and that there is a reason Moose is World Champion. Myers says they will go worldwide tonight when they beat Kazuchika Okada. Moose says that when a system works, you have no choice but to trust the system.

Backstage, we hear from "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander. He says today is a good day and that there have been a lot of good days lately, and that TNA got its worldbeater when he beat Will Ospreay. Suddenly, Alan Angels shows up and wants Alexander on the first episode of his new show "The Sound Check." Alexander says he is busy, but changes his mind.

"The Most Wanted Man" Nic Nemeth beats Zachary Wentz with the Zig Zag, now known as the "Danger Zone." After the match, Trey Miguel runs into the ring, but Nemeth hits him with the Danger Zone. Steve Maclin then runs into the ring and attacks Nemeth, but Nemeth counters KIA with the Danger Zone.

We see a vignette for Crazzy Steve, who says that Tommy Dreamer thought he was helping him only to hold him back. He says he did not need Dreamer's advice and that he will use the Digital Media Championship to carve a scar in the history of TNA Wrestling. He says that he has taken everything away from Dreamer, and that as far as he is concerned, he does not need to listen to anybody. Rhino shows up and says that if he does not like taking advice, he will give him some advice wheteher he likes it or not, and shoves him into a nearby crate. Crazzy Steve cannot help but laugh.

We hear from Decay (Rosemary and Havok). Rosemary says that at Hard To Kill, TNA was reborn, and so were they. Havok says that she had to go back to her roots in the undead wastleland and remind herself of who and what she really is. Rosemary says Courtney Rush and Jessicka had a purpose, but that purpose has been served, and from here on out, Decay will no longer play by the rules and they will do things their way.

MK Ultra (Masha Slamovich and Killer Kelly) beat Dani Luna and Jody Threat. After the match, MK Ultra lays out Dani Luna with a double-team piledriver just like they did Jody Threat.

"The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada and The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) beat The System (Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers, Moose) in a six-man tag match.
