Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for November 12, 2021

WWE official Sonya Deville is in the ring with Natalya, Shotzi, Shayna Baszler and Aliyah to start tonight's show. Shotzi, Natalya, Baszler and Aliyah are announced as the first four members of SmackDown's women's Survivor Series team. The captain of the team is then introduced, and the team captain is Sasha Banks, who heads to the ring. This leads to a confrontation between Sasha and Shotzi, which stops when Naomi shows up and confronts Sonya before attacking Baszler. All six Superstars brawl both in and out of the ring.

Sasha Banks, Naomi and Aliyah beat Natalya, Shotzi and "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler after Naomi stops Natalya from grabbing the ropes during the Sharpshooter, allowing Aliyah to roll Natalya up for the win.

Backstage, Sami Zayn says he will do everything in his power as team captain to ensure victory at Survivor Series. We then find out he is talking to a mirror, and that Jeff Hardy is watching. Sami Zayn notices Jeff Hardy is watching, and when Sami Zayn asks for his opinion, Jeff Hardy tells him "it sucked."

Backstage, Megan Morant interviews Aliyah when WWE official Sonya Deville shows up and asks how long she has known Naomi, then congratulates her on her debut win before telling her she is no longer on the SmackDown women's Survivor Series team.

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews Roman Reigns, who has Paul Heyman take his place in the interview. Heyman says he has been authorized by Roman to up the ante against King Woods, who he says will acknowledge Roman as his tribal chief. He also says that if Woods were to win, Roman will take the knee tonight. Heyman then says that if Roman violates this stipulation, he can be stripped of the Universal title and banished from SmackDown. Heyman also states that since tonight's show is in the state of Virginia, this is essentially a legal and binding contract.

Backstage, Happy Corbin asks Madcap Moss if he has another Viking joke. Madcap Moss says a Viking made out of carbohydrates is called "Erik the Bread."

Los Lotharios (Humberto Carrilo and Angel Garza) beat Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs.

Backstage, WWE officials Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville are backstage with Von Wagner. Sonya leaves, then Sami Zayn says he has some concerns about the men's Survivor Series team, and demands Jeff Hardy be removed from the team. Pearce makes a match between Sami Zayn and Jeff Hardy, with the loser being removed from the team. Sami tries to talk his way out of it, but Pearce says the match is official.

Charlotte Flair heads to the ring. Charlotte says her Survivor Series opponent Becky Lynch has gone through several identities and asks who Becky is, saying there is nothing natural about her and that she is "a fabricated champion." She says that she has had her moment because of her, and that she should be called "Becky Uh-Oh." She also says that she can not only beat Becky, but any opponent, because when somebody faces her, they becomes a star. Charlotte says she should be called "The Star Maker." Suddenly, Toni Storm shows up. Toni Storm says that it is generous of Charlotte to provide title opportunites, she does not do any of them, and that unlike Becky Lynch, who has defended her title on Raw, Charlotte cannot says she has defended the SmackDown Women's Championship. Toni challenges her for the championship tonight. Charlotte says "Absolutely not" and leaves.

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews King Woods. Woods finds it preposterous that Roman thinks he will bend the knee and acknowledge him, and admits that while The New Day has had a rough week, Roman will bend the knee because he will plant his flag in the island of relevancy.

Backstage, Aliyah is on the phone when Mustafa Ali shows up. Before he can plant seeds of negativity, Ricochet shows up and tells her to keep her head up and keep moving forward. Aliyah leaves with Ricochet, much to Mustafa Ali's displeasure.

Jeff Hardy beats Sami Zayn after Sami Zayn gets caught putting his feet on the ropes for leverage during a schoolkid pin. As per pre-match stipulation, Sami Zayn is off the SmackDown men's Survivor Series team.

In footage from earlier today, we hear from Hit Row (Isaiah "Swerve" Scott, Ashante "Thee" Adonis, Top Dolla). The three of them freestyle that they will be the next big thing. Meanwhile, Jinder Mahal has Shanky rap in his native language, and Jinder does a rap as well.

We see another vignette for Xia Li, who is coming to SmackDown soon.

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews Ridge Holland. Ridge Holland says he spoke from the heart last week about Sheamus, who he calls his idol. He says that he would leave the streets until he saw Sheamus do what he did, fight like he fought and make a living. He says that Sheamus showed him the way and that he is proud to follow in his footsteps. Cesaro shows up and says he has known Sheamus for a long time, and tells him to be careful what he wishes for due to Sheamus' mood as of late. Ridge says that he will replace Cesaro and that he and Sheamus will be greater than The Bar ever was, and if Cesaro does not like it, he can take it up with Sheamus next week.

King Woods beats Roman Reigns by disqualification after The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) attack Woods. After the match, The Usos attack Woods with the ring steps, then Roman takes the knee as The Usos place Woods' crown on Roman's head.

This week on Talking Smack: Jeff Hardy! Aliyah! Los Lotharios (Humberto Garcia and Angel Garza)!
