Raw Deal - Raw recap for November 8, 2021

Backstage, Kevin Owens talks with Big E, saying that he has been working hard to prove he is not the turncoat he was in the past and that he had no idea Seth Rollins attacked him. He also says that there are few people whose opinion of him he cares about and that Big E is one of those people. Big E says he has a match tonight and that he does not care.

Seth Rollins heads to the ring to start tonight's show. He welcomes everyone to tonight's show, then says he is a visionary, a revolutionary and the next WWE Champion. He then says that he was going to talk about how he would lead Team Raw to victory at Survivor Series, then the crowd chants "You look stupid!" After Rollins says that the fans know nothing about fashion, he then asks who Kevin Owens really is, questioning if he is a prizefighter, a hero or someone who will put everything on the line for the fans. Rollins also asks if Owens is a snake, a gutless and spineless coward, or a liar. After stating that he has known Owens for a very long time, he says that the only thing you can count on is him stabbing you in the back any chance he got. He tells anyone who doesn't believe him to ask Sami Zayn or The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods), as Kevin Owens is a paramecium, an ameoba and as low as it gets. He also calls Owens a snake, a coward and a liar, and says that after tonight, he will be the biggest loser in the world. Owens shows up and chases after Rollins, sending him running with a right hand. He goes for a powerbomb on the ring apron, but Rollins escapes his grasp and runs away.

Backstage, Matt Riddle talks to Randy Orton how they and The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) will be "a superteam" or like Voltron. Orton says they have a target on their back, and says they have no reason to pick fights with giants before telling him not to fight Omos again. When Riddle mentions The Street Profits, Orton says he does not care about them. Riddle tells Orton The Street Profits are right behind him. Orton tells him he meant every word he said about them and that they are on their own against Omos. After Orton leaves, Riddle says that went as well as could be expected, then tells The Street Profits he will see them in the ring.

"The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, Omos, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode beat RK-Bro (Randy Orton and Matt Riddle) and The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) in an eight-man tag matcj despite some miscommunication between Dolph Ziggler and AJ Styles when Ziggler makes the tag after Styles wants Omos to tag him in. After the match, Orton hits Ziggler with the RKO.

Backstage, Kevin Owens meets with Rey and Dominik Mysterio. Owens wants to know if Rey believes him about what happened last week. Despite having a lot on his plate, Rey tells Owens he believes him.

We see another vignette for Veer Mahaan.

Rey and Dominik Mysterio head to the ring, where WWE official Adam Pearce is waiting. Adam Pearce talks about the Traditional Survivor Series Match and the Survivor Series event, saying this year will be no different from previous years. Pearce says that this year's men's team has a lot to live up to compared to last year's team, then says he felt he made a huge mistake when he say the new roster for Raw. He says that Dominik is the only new member of Raw that is not a former champion (despite being a SmackDown Tag Team Champion), and unless Dominik wins his match that is up next, he will not be on the men's team. Dominik then finds out that he has to beat Bobby Lashley to stay on the men's team.

Bobby Lashley - now with MVP in his corner again - beats Dominik Mysterio with the Hurt Locker to enter Raw's men's Survivor Series team, replacing Dominik Mysterio.

Backstage, Seth Rollins meets with Alpha Academy (Chad Gable and Otis). Rollins says he will show Big E that he is not the face of Monday nights, then asks them about Kevin Owens. Chad Gable says Owens is an enormous liar like Aaron Rodgers, and that Big E does not have what it takes to be WWE Champion. He then says he is handing out free lessons tonight, courtesy of the Alpha Academy.

Big E beats Chad Gable. After the match, Otis and Big E have a staredown in the middle of the ring.

Backstage, Kevin Owens talks about what happened last week with R-Truth. R-Truth says he believes him...and various other things.

WWE officials Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville meet with the women's locker room. Carmella, Queen Zelina, Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan and Bianca Belair are on the Raw women's team, and they will face each other for a chance at the Raw Women's Championship. Doudrop asks why she wasn't put on the team, saying Bianca Belair blew her chance at the WWE Raw Women's Championship, and Dana Brooke also wants to know why she was not included, saying she has been overlooked for too long. Nikki A.S.H. says she has already been Raw Women's Champion, and Carmella says nobody can stay on top and look down on people like her forever. Rhea Ripley chews out Carmella for this, and Adam Pearce says all choices are final as everyone argues.

Backstage, Kevin Patrick interviews Rey Mysterio in the trainer's room. Rey says Dominik Mysterio suffered a neck break, then says Adam Pearce's integrity should be questioned and that Bobby Lashley is only here to do damage like what he did to his son. After Kevin Patrick leaves, Austin Theory takes a selfie in front of Rey and Dominik, unbeknownst to the both of them.

Drake Maverick beats Reggie to become the WWE 24/7 Champion after R-Truth shows up only to get beaten up by The Hurt Business (Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander), distracting Reggie. After the match, Akira Tozawa gets in the ring and pins Maverick to win the title, but when he sneaks away, he is suddenly pinned by Corey Graves, who wins the championship. Graves is then suddenly pinned by Byron Saxton, who wins the championship, but he gets pinned by Maverick, who wins the title again. Everything finally comes full circle when Reggie pins him to take the title back, then he runs to the back.

Becky Lynch guests on commentary for the next match.

Backstage, Doudrop confronts Bianca Belair, but Bianca tells Doudrop she is speaking for herself when Doudrop confronts for getting another potential shot at the Raw Women's Championship.

Liv Morgan beats Carmella, Queen Zelina, Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair in a Fatal 5-Way match for a shot at the WWE Raw Women's Championship after Doudrop shows up and pulls Bianca Belair out of a pinfall attempt after Bianca hits Zelina with the K.O.D. Carmella tries to pin Zelina, but Liv Morgan pins Carmella with a crucifix pin to win the match and the title shot. Before the match begins, Bianca Belair is attacked from behind as she confronts Becky Lynch from the ring apron, and multiple referees have to restore order when everyone involved in the match brawls with each other. After the match, Becky and Liv have a staredown on the announce table, then Becky leaves.

Backstage, Seth Rollins meet with Big E, saying he comes in peace and wants to understand where his head is at, as he knows he cannot understand a word Kevin Owens is saying and that is better to trust the devil he knows that the devil he doesn't. He says he does not trust him or Owens, and says he will be sitting at ringside to make sure Rollins' match runs smoothly.

Big E guests on commentary for the next match.

Before the next match, Austin Theory shows up and takes selfies with the announce team, but when he takes one with Big E, Big E slaps the phone out of his hands. Austin Theory takes his phone and leaves. When Seth Rollins heads to the ring, Rollins says that while it is true that Kevin Owens is a liar, he is not the only one who is lying, then says that what happened last week was a plan between him and Rollins that they planned weeks in advance. Rollins says he is coming clean about this because he is a man of integrity unlike Owens, but an angry Owens shows up and punches him. Rollins has to jump over the guardrail to get away from Owens.

We see a video package on the history of Survivor Series.

Seth Rollins beats Kevin Owens by count-out after Owens has to stumble past Big E near the announce table only to come up short in getting back into the ring in time. Rollins is able to beat the count, but Owens is not. After the match, Kevin Owens beats up Big E and blames him for the loss before hitting him with a pop-up powerbomb on the apron. Multiple referees and officials have to check on Big E and restore order, and Owens goes back on the attack.
