Miz goes on about how he and Commissioner Shane McMahon were fighting for SmackDown Live at Survivor Series, but Kofi reminds him they lost. Miz says they were eliminated match and that they could not have done any better, and says he can beat any one of them right now. He then says he will go to Shane and make a match for tonight. Woods asks what just happened after Miz leaves, then Big E outs himself as a "closet Mariner" by talking about Miz's character in the Marine movies, Jake Carter.
"The Phenomenal" AJ Styles shows up. Styles that he has been without the WWE Championship for the past 14 days, and those 14 days feel longer than the 371 days that he did have it. He says that he is more bothered with how he has lost than the loss itself. He knew there would be a target on his match, and says he knows what it is like to want something so badly he will do anything to get it. However, he is bothered by Daniel Bryan attacking him to the point that he couldn't compete last week. He watched from home as Daniel Bryan explained his actions, and says it is a lot of "BS" and "trash." He says the old and new Daniel Bryans have the same face and he wants to bash that face in, and he wants to face him right now. Unfortunately, Daniel Bryan is not here and has not been at live events, while he has never missed SmackDown Live or a live event because he is the champ and this is where he belongs. He tells Daniel Bryan to be there at TLC and bring his dreams, his excuses and the WWE Championship, for the championship belongs to him.

He says that he is eternally grateful to the fans for sticking with him through all of that, and the fans chant "Thank You, Hardy!" He says he would not be here without his family, and thanks them for being there and making this night possible. He also says this is far from a retirement speech, and he doesn't know the future, and asks him and the fans to see it through together. Suddenly, Samoa Joe shows up and congratulates Jeff Hardy before saying having a champagne toast isn't the best idea as he continues to make fun of his past drug use, as he does not believe in weakness or second chances because he did not get his first. He says that despite all the mistakes he has made, Jeff Hardy has allowed himself to be put on a pedestal, and it makes him sick, as there are as many times he has gotten the people off their feet as he has let them down. He says that Jeff's demons still remain, and offers him his hand in case he hits a low point again, saying it won't be painless. Jeff refuses to let Joe rain on his parade and says he still lives in the moment, and challenges Joe to a match right now. Samoa Joe walks away with a smirk on his face instead of taking Jeff Hardy's challenge.

Randy Orton shows up with Rey Mysterio's mask from last week. He says he has never understood what the big deal is about Rey's mask. He says he did not bother to learn the history of the mask as he did not care, and while he meant no disrespect to Rey last week, he meant to embarrass and humiliate him and take him down from the pedestal the fans put him on. Orton says that at this stage in Rey's career, Rey is just another victim of the RKO. Suddenly, Rey shows up with his neck in a neck brace, and he slowly approaches the ring until Orton slides out of it. Both men fight, but Orton gets the upper hand and rips the neck brace off before throwing Rey in the ring. Referees run in to try to stop Orton, but Rey fights back and hits the 619. Rey then grabs a steel chair, but Orton gets back up, catches Rey on the rope and hits the draping DDT before tossing Rey into the guardrail, grabbing Rey by the mask, placing the chair under his throat and slamming the legs into the steel steps. Backstage officials show up to stop Orton, and this time, there are too many people between Orton and Rey for Orton to do any more damage.
