Raw Deal - Raw recap for November 12, 2018

WWE takes time to honor Veteran's Day at the start of the show.

A tag team battle royal to decide the captains of Raw's team in the 10-on-10 Tag Team Survivor Series Match at Survivor Series ends as soon as it begins when Braun Strowman shows up and decimates everyone in the match. After Strowman gets in the ring with a steel chair, he announces that tonight's show is "brought to you by The Monster Among Men" before sitting down in said chair. He then says he is done chasing Acting General Manager Baron Corbin around, and that he is not leaving the ring until Corbin gets these hands. Instead of Corbin, however, Commissioner Stephanie McMahon shows up. Stephanie says she understands that Strowman is upset, but tells him that he cannot hold Raw hostage. She also appreciates his aggression and rage, but wants him to save it for this Sunday at Survivor Series, as her brother, SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon disrespected everyone when he stole the WWE World Cup, but he does not care about Shane or representing Raw. Stephanie responds by saying she gives a damn, and that he and everyone on the locker room should, too. Strowman says he knows when someone thinks he is a meat castle who can be manipulated, but Stephanie says she has something he wants. Stephanie tells Strowman that if he were to represent Raw at Survivor Series and Raw were to win, Strowman can have anything he wants. Strowman makes it clear he wants another Universal Championship match against Brock Lesnar. Stephanie says "done," and Strowman says he wants Baron Corbin and that he wants to pick the stipulation. Stephanie agrees to that as well, and Strowman wants Corbin to sign a waiver so he can't be held responsible. Stephanie says she can make it possible on the condition that he does not touch Corbin until after Survivor Series. Strowman tells her to make it happen or else he will raise hell at WWE headquarters. Stephanie tells Strowman that she is not here to manipulate him and wants the best out of everybody, man, woman or machine. Suddenly, "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey shows up and stares down Stephanie. Ronda takes the microphone from Stephanie as she introduces her and tells her to spare the pep talk. Ronda says she cannot wait to show Becky Lynch how it is done, then realizes she does not have to wait and slowly backs Stephanie into a corner. Baron Corbin shows up and says everybody needs to relax and focus their aggression on SmackDown Live at Survivor Series, as he is also here to motivate Raw talent. Corbin says Raw cannot afford to be embarrassed by SmackDown Live again and cannot be overconfident. Corbin puts his hand on Ronda's shoulder, and immediately gets tossed onto the mat before Ronda leaves. Strowman and Corbin then stare down, and Stephanie tells Corbin to leave the ring. Strowman tells Corbin to enjoy being Stephanie's lap dog, because after Survivor Series, he will neuter him.

Tamina beats Ember Moon thanks to a distraction by Nia Jax. After the match, Nia Jax attacks Ember Moon and hits her with a leg drop.

Members of the Kansas City Chiefs football team are seen in the front row.

Corey Graves interviews Seth Rollins in the ring. Rollins mentions that he will face Shinsuke Nakamura for the first time ever and that it will be one hell of a fight, but right now, he's more concerned about Dean Ambrose. He says that he will be laser-focused on Nakamura, but that is Sunday and this is tonight, and tonight, he wants to know why Dean Ambrose did what he did weeks ago. Rollins knows Ambrose is not stupid and that Ambrose knows why he did what he did, and that it is just that Ambrose is not man enough to talk to him. Ambrose is on the TitanTron, sitting ona sports car next to a flaming steel drum, telling Rollins not to accuse him of not being man enough and saying he does not owe anyone an explanation. After going through all the thoughts and possibilities Rollins could be thinking of, he mentions that he used to think The Shield was stronger together, but now he feels it made him weak. He then says every day is a new day to be reborn and to take the past and burn it down as takes his Shield vest, pours gasoline on it and throws it in the burning drum. Rollins throws down his microphone and heads to the back.

Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre show up, with Ziggler mocking Kurt Angle's entrance. McIntyre says that he told everyone he would take over when he first showed up on Raw, and asks if everyone believes him now. He talks about how he broke The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns) before breaking Kurt Angle. He says that Angle came into their match last week as an Olympic hero and came out as an embarrassment, and while Angle gave him everything he had, he saw his will to win fade as he looked in his eyes. McIntyre then says that Angle was eventually on his hands and knees and eventually started crying, and says he has never been disgusted in his entire life and was more than happy to put Angle down with his own ankle lock. After having worked 18 years and experiencing the highest of highs and lowest of lows to get to this moment, McIntyre says that Raw is his show now and he will mold it into his image. As he says that he plans to get rid of the weak and ensure there are no more nostalgia acts, Finn Balor shows up. McIntyre says Finn Balor has a lot of gall to come back to the ring after what he did to him, but Finn says that what McIntyre said was too much to take and that all he had to do was beat Angle. McIntyre tells Finn Balor that dignity is not a right reserved to all, and while he could have done more to Angle, he chose not to, and says that Finn Balor is only here because he is upset about what he did to him. He then calls Finn Balor part of the problem with Raw and tells him to go back to his Balor Club, but Finn Balor tells him to shut up as he has dealt with bullies like him his whole life. He then challenges McIntyre to a match right here, right now. McIntyre can't tell what's more fragile - Balor's feelings or Balor's body - then says Balor has a match...but not with him; instead, it will be with Dolph Ziggler, and if Balor can beat Dolph, he might consider lowering himself to Balor's level. McIntyre then headbutts Finn Balor to the ground as Dolph provides a distraction.

Finn Balor gets a surprise win on Dolph Ziggler with a backslide pin to counter a pinfall attempt by Ziggler.

Backstage, Commissioner Stephanie McMahon and Acting General Manager Baron Corbin are talking when they meet Finn Balor. Stephanie asks Balor to be part of the red brand's men's team. Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre also show up, and Stephanie tells them to stand down and that they are also part of the team after recent events, and demands that the three of them respect each other until Sunday, after which they are free to tear each other apart.

Backstage, Charly Caruso interviews "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey, who says that while Becky Lynch can dish it out, she was only trying to mention how ridiculous her words have been and that she cannot take it. She says that Becky is "The Millennial Man" and that she needs to stop being offended, and says she didn't work for years to see someone like her. Nia Jax and Tamina then show up to wish her luck at Survivor Series.

Before the next match, Ruby Riott addresses her actions from last week along with Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan. She says that when she broke Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, she touched a nerve not only with Natalya, but with the fans. She has thought about her actions for the last week and understands why she has gotten the backlash she has received. She mentions that she turned happy memories of The Anvil into nightmares and humiliated Natalya in front of a worldwide audience...and enjoyed every second of it. She then says she didn't take it far enough, and that The Riott Squad (Riott, Morgan, Logan) have had to scratch and claw for everything, and last week, she wanted Natalya to feel real emotion and "bawl like a baby," which is exactly what Natalya did. Ruby then says she understands why The Anvil wore those sunglasses: because he was ashamed to look at his own daughter. Not surprisingly, Natalya shows up. Instead of from the back, however, she appears out of the crowd and fends off The Riott Squad. The numbers game catches up to her, however, and Riott and Logan hit Natalya with the Hart Attack.

Bobby Roode and Chad Gable win the tag team battle royal to become captains of Raw's team in the 10-on-10 Survivor Series Tag Team Match.

The 10-on-10 Surivor Series Tag Team Match is officially the kick-off match for Survivor Series this Sunday.

Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar show up. Heyman says nobody deserves congratulations more than Brock Lesnar, and congratulates Braun Strowman for proving he is an almost-unbeatable monster until he gets hit by five F-5s from Brock Lesnar. He also congratulates Strowman for worming his way back into the title picture with some hardball negotiations, as well as the entire SmackDown Live roster for avoiding the beating that will be given to the WWE Champion at Survivor Series, then congratulates "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles proper before saying he will take a beating from Lesnar this Sunday even though he came close last year, as there is nobody in the WWE or UFC that Lesnar wants to tear apart more than him. Heyman finishes by saying that Lesnar will beat Styles, and that this is not a prediction, but a spoiler. All of a sudden, Jinder Mahal shows up. Jinder says he respects Heyman's goal of making Lesnar a two-sport champion, and asks him not to underestimate AJ Styles, as he was focused on last year's dream match against Lesnar and that allowed Styles to steal his match. He then offers his services to help Lesnar focus on Styles and teach him his mantra. Heyman laughs this off, but Lesnar allows Jinder to come in and teach his mantra, telling Heyman "You oughta listen to this; after all, you are Jewish!" Jinder teaches Lesnar how to breathe in and out and chant "Shanti," and this just leads to Jinder Mahal and The Singh Brothers (Sunil and Samir Singh) getting wiped out by Lesnar.

Before the next match, Lio Rush has Bobby Lashley pose again, then Elias shows up. Elias is on his phone, pretending to call child protective services on Lio Rush. Lashley tells Elias to shut up and that he is a clown, and tells him to get in the ring and say it to his face. Elias walks down the ramp as he says that Lashley sucks and that he tried to help Lio Rush, but before he gets in the ring, he plays his guitar before asking who wants to walk with him.

Bobby Lashley beats Elias by count-out to become the last member of the Raw men's Survivor Series team after Lio Rush grabs Elias' ankle from underneath the ring to keep Elias from getting back in. After the match, Elias goes after Lio Rush and briefly fends off Bobby Lashley, then tosses Lio Rush out of the ring and into Lashley.

Alexa Bliss shows up with Mickie James, Nia Jax and Tamina. Alexa says this Sunday is personal and proving that Raw will always be the A-show while SmackDown Live is always second-best. She not only expects victory; she demands it and has put together quite a team. She announces that she has sent Alicia Fox home and to re-focus her rage and energy against SmackDown Live before announcing that Mickie James, Nia Jax (whom she hopes to put her differences aside with) and Tamina are part of the Raw women's team. Alexa then says she has thought long and hard about whoever will be able to do whatever it takes to win, even put friendship aside, and announces that whoever wins the next match will be the final member of the team. The two participants of the next match are revealed to be none other than Sasha Banks and Bayley.

Sasha Banks vs. Bayley ends with Tamina, Mickie James and Nia Jax attacking both women. Alexa Bliss then announces that Ruby Riott is her real fifth member, then Becky Lynch is seen putting "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey in the Dis-Arm-Her backstage while two officials tell Becky to back off. Becky Lynch then heads to the ring, then the SmackDown Live women's roster comes out of the crowd and brawls with the Raw women's roster. "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey then runs into the ring and fends off the SmackDown Live women's roster despite having only one good arm until Becky Lynch hits Ronda Rousey with a chair, then the brawl continues. The brawl ends with SmackDown Live's women's roster getting the uper hand while a busted-open Becky Lynch - who has a broken nose - attacks Ronda Rousey with a steel chair. The SmackDown Live women's roster then leaves through the crowd while Ronda Rousey watches on. Backstage, Commissioner Stephanie McMahon chews out Acting General Manager Baron Corbin for what has just happened. The show then ends.

Here are the top 10 moments from tonight's show!
