Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown Live recap for June 12, 2018

General Manager Paige welcomes everyone to tonight's show. Naomi, Lana, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch are also in the ring for the women's Money In The Bank Ladder Match summit. Paige talks about how the four women in the ring have earned the right to enter the Money In The Bank Ladder, and says she does not care who wins the contract as long as the contract is brought back to her house. As Lana - who no longer has much of a Russian accent - says she will bring the contract home, Naomi argues with Lana, and reminds everyone she won the first WrestleMania Women's Battle Royal. Charlotte tells Naomi she only won the match because she wasn't in it. She then says she has done just about everything in WWE except win the Money In The Bank Ladder Match, and Sunday, she is winning. Becky Lynch says she'll be the won to do it, and reminds everyone she was the first woman drafted to SmackDown Live and the first tow in the blue brand's women's title and that she will be grabbing the contract and successfully cashing in to become champ again. Charlotte wishes Becky luck, but Becky says she doesn't need luck and that she will do whatever it takes to win. Naomi reminds Becky that there are two other women in the match. Becky says "Yeah, I beat them, too." Suddenly, The IIconics (Billie Kay and Peyton Royce) show up, and say it would take a miracle for SmackDown Live to take the women's contract with the four women in the ring in the match. Afterwards, Peyton mocks Becky Lynch horribly, and earns a lot of boos in response. Billie Kay then proceeds to mock Charlotte Flair, then Naomi asks The IIconis if they're done yet. The IIconics then proceed to mock both Naomi and Lana, but they are stopped in their tracks by Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville. Mandy then says Paige will be disappointed on Sunday, and Sonya says she, Mandy and The IIconics are far superior. This starts a 4-on-4 brawl near the ramp, and referees quickly move in to try to break it up.

Charlotte Flair, Naomi, Lana and Becky Lynch vs. Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville and The IIconics (Billie Kay and Peyton Royce) is made official for tonight's main event.

We look back on March 30, 2014, when Daniel Bryan occupied Raw with the fans in the exact same building where tonight's show takes place.

We hear from Daniel Bryan, who says that Big Cass has not trained hard enough to beat him, and that he will decimate him on Sunday.

Daniel Bryan beats Shelton Benjamin after countering a half crab reversal of a Yes! Lock with a heel hook.

Backstage, General Manager Paige is met by Asuka, who wants Carmella tonight. Paige adds Asuka to the 8-woman tag match. Asuka says this is good for her and bad for Carmella. Suddenly, Paige sees The Miz pretending to be a referee, and claims it is for an acting role for a movie called "Ruff Ruff Ref," where he plays the dog referee's mentor. The Miz asks to be special guest referee for Rusev vs. Samoa Joe, but Paige knows Miz is trying to scout out his competition. Nevertheless, she puts Miz in the match as special guest referee, anyway.

We see a video package chronicling the events leading up to "The Artist" Shinsuke Nakamura vs. "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles in a Last Man Standing Match for the WWE Championship at Money In The Bank.

Jerry "The King" Lawler shows up and interviews "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles on the interview platform on the stage. Styles says "The Artist" Shinsuke Nakamura got under his skin and made him lose his cool during the contract signing, and says he is sorry that he didn't knock his head off with his fist. He says SmackDown Live is no playground and it is the house that he built, and there are unwritten rules. If Nakamura can't follow them, he will be disciplined. If Nakamura wants to act like a child, he'll be a man and the last man standing. He plans to walk out of Money In The Bank as WWE Champion.

The Miz is seen talking to a referee to figure out how to do his job as special guest referee.

Gallows & Anderson (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) vs. The Bludgeon Brothers (Harper and Rowan) for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships is the kick-off for Money In The Bank.

Rusev beats Samoa Joe in a match with The Miz as special guest referee. During the match, Aiden English distracts The Miz as Joe goes for the Coaquina Clutch, and when Joe breaks out of it, he inadvertently rams Miz into the corner before hitting English with an enziguri, knocking English off the apron. The Miz confronts Samoa Joe for the inadvertent smash into the corner, and Joe then grabs his hand in an attempt to break it. Rusev then hits the Matchka Kick on a distracted Joe to get the win. After the match, Aiden English hands Rusev a ladder from underneath the ring, and Rusev rams into Samoa Joe with it. He then places the ladder in the center of the ring and goes for the contract, but Miz hits Rusev with the Skull Crushing Finale. Miz then climbs up the ladder and pulls the green briefcase off the hook before lifting it up in the air. He then climbs back down, slams the briefcase on the commentary table, and says he will be the one to grab the contract and cash in to become WWE Champion. All of a sudden, the briefcase is revealed to be open and full of pancakes, meaning that The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) have tricked him once again. Backstage, The New Day laugh at the rib they have just pulled on The Miz.

Carmella is revealed to be in what is now a 10-woman tag team match in tonight's main event.

Jeff Hardy beats "The Artist" Shinsuke Nakamura by disqualification after Nakamura counters the Twist of Fate with a low blow. After the match, Nakamura hits Jeff Hardy with a Kinshasa before counting to 10 in order to send a message to "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles.

Backstage, Renee Young interviews Carmella, who says that she is not concerned about Asuka or anybody else, as she is the SmackDown Women's Champion and she is better than both Asuka and Charlotte Flair. She says that all her opponents tonight should be concerned, especially Asuka, because "'Mella is money."

Backstage, Renee Young interviews Big Cass. He tells Renee he can take it from here, and talks about how he was paid $25,000 to show his face at a county fair. When he left, he brought the height requirement sign for the Crazy Clown coaster with him. He says that Daniel Bryan did not meet the height requirement, and that a good big man will beat a good little man at Money In The Bank, which he says will be a free-fall drop where Daniel Bryan will crash down if he tries to get to his level.

We see a video package of Big Show and Special Olympics powerlifter CJ Piantieri, who has won 76 gold medals in powerlifting and hopes to win more, for Special Olympics.

Asuka, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Lana and Naomi beat Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, Carmella and The IIconics (Billie Kay and Peyton Royce) following an Asuka Lock to Carmella. After the match, everyone meets in the middle of the ring and stares at Asuka.

Here's the top 10 moment's from tonight's show!
