Raw Deal - Raw recap for June 25, 2018

In memory of Leon "Vader" White, 1955 - 2018.

General Manager Kurt Angle is in the ring to start tonight's show along with Constable Baron Corbin. General Manager Kurt Angle is in the ring with Constable Baron Corbin. Corbin demands he also be acknowledged, which the ring announcer does as "Stephanie McMahon's personally appointed Constable of Raw." Angle talks about his announcement for the multi-man match for the Universal Championship at Extreme Rules, and says that Paul Heyman has spread rumors concerning Lesnar's next title defense. As Angle is about to guarantee that there will be a match for the Universal title at Extreme Rules, Roman Reigns shows up. Roman says he wants to hear the explanation for what is going on face-to-face, but before that can even happen, Bobby Lashley also shows up. Lashley says that he deserves to hear this just as much as Roman does, as he was placed in the multi-man match and Roman had three years' worth of chances to beat Brock and proved he could not do it. He tells Roman it is time to move on, but Roman says Lashley "moved on" ten years ago when he was in the main event of WrestleMania and quit WWE, then makes fun of his MMA career. Roman says Lashley has done nothing in WWE lately, while he has main evented WrestleMania four years in a row and is still here every week. He tells Lashley to check his resume before running his mouth. Lashley tells Roman not to downplay his background, as he has the legit tools to beat Lesnar and he will prove it against however many guys Angle wants to put him up against, including Roman. Angle tells Lashley and Roman there will be no multi-man match, as there was a snag in the contract and Lesnar pulled out of the deal, meaning that the match is off the table. Lashley is disappointed, and Roman reminds him that Lesnar doesn't care about anybody and does whatever he wants. Lashley proposes putting somebody legit and challenging like him up against Lesnar so that Lesnar - and the fans - do not have to look at Roman every single time. Roman says neither of them have an Extreme Rules match, and proposes they have a match right now. Angle says they can have a match against each other at Extreme Rules and take it under advisement. Suddenly, The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) show up. Dawson says it is a new week, but the same old story, and says top guys are handed opportunities while they have to hunt for them. Wilder says they underestimated them last week, but tonight will be a different story. Corbin demands they have a tag team rematch. Angle calls for a match, and this match is on.

The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) beat Roman Reigns and Bobby Lashley when Roman knocks Lashley off the ring apron and hits a Spear on Dawson only for Wilder to get an unexpected win with a schoolboy pin on Roman. After the match, Lashley confronts Roman, telling him to let him finish things from now on.

We hear from Matt Hardy. He tells The B-Team (Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel) that if imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then their parody of him and Bray Wyatt was wonderful. The last time he saw a performance so good was at the Globe Theater with Bray Wyatt, who says that The B-Team's eyes tell the true story and that they are so fixated on their titles that they do not know they are in the lion's den. Matt Hardy says The B-Team has no idea what they have gotten themselves into.

We see a commercial for WWE 2K19 where Rey Mysterio is revealed to be a pre-order character.

Before the next match, The B-Team parody Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt on the TitanTron. Curtis Axel says their feud with Matt and Bray spans time and space, ad Bo Dallas says they are about to enter a "B-hive." As they try to speak, they choke on the smoke in the room, then awkwardly lowers down to the bottom of the screen.

Curtis Axel gets an upset win on Matt Hardy when he slips on a superplex attempts. Axel lands the move, but falls on top of Matt Hardy and gets the pinfall victory anyway. After the match, Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt congratulate Curtis Axel on his surprise win.

As for his opponents, Strowman demands they be Finn Balor and Baron Corbin. Angle tells Strowman he has a match.

Alexa Bliss and Mickie James show up. After a video package of what "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey did to Alexa Bliss, Mickie James introduces Alexa. Mickie says that Alexa's celebration from last week was ruined thanks to Rousey, and Alexa says that is why Ronda is suspended from Raw for 30 days. Mickie is surprised Alexa is still standing in the ring, but Alexa says she is a champion and that she bounces back, and that General Manager Kurt Angle is okay and has seen Ronda's true colors as the most spoiled brat on the planet. Alexa says what she did at Money In The Bank was 100% legal, and Mickie says Alexa's cash-in may be one of the best cash-ins ever. Alexa then complains about having to defend the title against "the bully" Nia Jax at Extreme Rules. Alexa says she is still standing and that Nia is nursing an arm injury while Ronda is suspended, and she is now champion. She also says that for as long as she has known Nia, she somehow paints herself as the victim and the hero in her own story. She also says that Nia Jax thought WrestleMania was the end of the story, and that Backlash was the sequel. Alexa then says this is real life and not the movies, and in real life, she is the hero, not Nia. Alexa says she has beaten every obstacle in her way, including Nia Jax and Ronda Rousey. The crowd chants "You suck!," and Alexa and Mickie say that the crowd is "so rude." Suddenly, Natalya shows up. From the stage, Natalya says the countdown is on, and in 23 days, Ronda will come back to deal with Alexa. Alexa says she is surprised Natalya and Ronda can count backwards from 30, and that Natalya left the Total Divas vacation in Lake Tahoe to confront her. Alexa says she knows about the vacation because Natalya posts her entire life on social media, and thanks Natalya for nothing before telling her to go away. Natalya then says she has talked with General Manager Kurt Angle, and that she and Alexa have a match right now. Natalya also tells Alexa she did not come back from Lake Tahoe alone, and Nia Jax suddenly shows up to accompany her to the ring.

Natalya beats Alexa Bliss with the Sharpshooter after Nia Jax trips Alexa from outside of the ring as the referee is dealing with Mickie James.

Charly Caruso interviews Seth Rollins. Seth says he went out last week, made an open challenge, and lost the WWE Intercontinental Championship to Dolph Ziggler. However, he has had seven days to let that drop drive him to become better. Tonight, he will be like nothing Ziggler has ever seen, and Drew McIntyre will get the best seat in the house when he takes the title back.

He mentions everything Braun Strowman has done to him, but Angle tells Owens that Strowman was being genuine and that this could be the start of a beautiful friendship. Owens leaves bewildered.

Before the next match, Mojo Rawley tells he is embarrassed to be out in the ring in the first place, and says Jose and his conga line have earned the right to a rematch with him. Mojo then decides to mock Todd, one of the conga line members who is dressed like a cheeseburger. The crowd starts cheering for Todd as Mojo trashes him for being part of the conga line before telling him it will be the closest he will ever get to being a Superstar. Mojo then tells No Way Jose that he is not getting a rematch, and when Jose confronts Mojo, Mojo sucker punches him in the face and walks away.

General Manager Kurt Angle tells Bayley she is going to mandatory counseling or else she is fired.

Braun Strowman and Kevin Owens beat Finn Balor and Baron Corbin by count-out after Finn Balor and Baron Corbin stop getting along and brawl with each other on the stage. After the match, Kevin Owens is impressed with Braun Strowman's willingnes to be a team player and offers to shake his hand. When Braun advances towards him, however, Owens runs to the stage before running to the back in an attempt to hide from Strowman. Kevin Owens manages to hide in the coaches' room while Strowman angrily asks someone backstage where Owens is.

Backstage, Kevin Owens comes out of the coaches' room and has two members of security escort him outside. When he asks the valet for his keys, he finds out that Braun Strowman has them. Braun hands him the keys and tells him he hopes he has insurance, and reveals that he just toppled his car. Kevin Owens watches in sadness as two members of security spray his car with fire extinguishers.
