During the match, the next Clash of the Champions special is hinted at, and takes a jab at WWF by saying that they are raising the price of their pay-per-view events while saying that Clash of the Champions is absolutely free. (Jabs at WWF, such as "The Royal Fumble,"

Eddie Guerrero beats "Lord" Steve Regal with a backslide pin. Clash of the Champions is confirmed for January 23rd during the match. After the match, Regal gets a few more shots on Guerrero in revenge.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Lex Luger and Sting. Even Okerlund gets in on the WWF bashing before the interview, saying their newest additions are "close to collecting Social Security." Sting has a question that he wants to ask Luger live on national television: what happened after the Triangle Match at Starrcade? He wants to know why Luger kept him from getting back in the ring before the ten count, but Luger says he injured his knee and was reaching out for Sting, wanting him to help him back up. He wants the chance to show Sting what kind of man he is in tag team action at Clash of the Champions. Sting likes the idea, saying they'd be a pretty good tag team, but Luger says they'd be the best tag team.

This Saturday on WCW Saturday Night: Part 2 of the interview with Mike Ditka! Ric Flair defends the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against "Macho Man" Randy Savage in a championship rematch!

Sting beats Diamond Dallas Sting with the Scorpion Death Lock.

Clash of the Champions is live from Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on Tuesday, January 23 on TBS at 8:05 PM!

Hulk Hogan and "Macho Man" Randy Savage beat "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson. "The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Flyin' Brian try to save the match for Flair and Anderson, but The Taskmaster and The Zodiac stop them from doing so. The Giant then gets in the ring and goes after Hogan and Savage after they toss Flair out of the ring, and hits the both of them with yet another choke slam. The Zodiac and The Taskmaster stop The Giant from doing any more damage.
