Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for January 29, 1996

"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair beats Hulk Hogan after "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson and Jimmy Hart remove one of Miss Elizabeth's high heels for Flair to use as a weapon. "Macho Man" Randy Savage checks on Hogan after the match.

This Saturday on WCW Saturday Night: Ric Flair vs. Dean Malenko! Lex Luger vs. Eddie Guerrero! Public Enemy debut on Saturday Night! Sting! The Taskmaster!

This year's SuperBrawl is officially known as SuperBrawl VI.

The Road Warriors (Animal and Hawk) beat The Faces of Fear (Meng and The Barbarian). After the match, "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews The Taskmaster and Hugh Morris. The Taskmaster says he has a problem with "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson after what happened last week. Anderson shows up with Flyin' Brian, and Taskmaster tells him to discipline Brian or suffer the consequences. Anderson chews out Brian for not helping Flair beat Hogan earlier tonight, and that if he's going to act like a child, he's gonna treat hi like one. He takes his belt off to hit Brian with it, but Morris and Taskmaster turn on Anderson before Taskmaster takes Anderson's belt and whips Pillman with it. Anderson fights back, hitting Morrus with a DDT before going after Taskmaster. He tells the WCW Executive Committee to give him a match against Anderson and Morrus unless they want a locker room bloodbath. Brian tells Anderson that he got them into this mess and that he'll get them out of it.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Sister Sherri in the ring...almost. Madusa gets Sherri from the top rope and the two of them immediately have a match.

Sister Sherri beats Madusa after reversing Madusa's attempt at reversing a top rope attack into a pinfall. Madusa continues to go after Sherri after the match.

"Macho Man" Randy Savager attacks The Giant from behind wit the WCW World Heavyweight Championship before the match. As soon as Savage gets the sleeper in on The Giant, the referee calls for the bell as "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair shows up and attacks Savage. He then hands Savage to The Giant, and tells him to lift Savage up before he knocks the ref out. The two of them together work on Randy Savage, with The Giant doing the work as Flair directs traffic while getting a few shots in himself. Hulk Hogan, now with his head and eye bandaged up, shows up with a steel chair to make the save, and smacks it right into the back of The Giant before hitting him with it twice in the head. Hugh Morrus, Meng, One Man Gang and The Taskmaster don't fare any better. Ric Flair gets into the commentary area and grabs a microphone. He tells Hogan he's beaten him twice on Nitro, and challenges him to a match at Superbrawl VI. The Giant shows up and tells Hogan his body, mind and soul will be his forever. Ric Flair then says he's facing Savage one more time for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, and taking it back. There will be two steel cage matches: one is Flair vs. Savage for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, while the other is Hogan vs. The Giant.
