Clash of the Champions XXXII - The Recap

"Mean" Gene Okerlund is at A Little White Chapel in downtown Las Vegas, where the wedding between Col. Robert Parker and Sister Sherri will take place.

Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock) vs. The Nasty Boys (Jerry Saggs and Brian Knobbs) ends in a no-contest after the match is out of control from the get-go and a sturdy wooden table enters the equation and adds more mayhem both during and after the match.

Eric Bischoff interviews Jimmy Hart, The Giant and "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. Flair says that the world title loss is nothing compared to the rest of Las Vegas, and that the winner "Macho Man" Randy Savage will have to go face-to-face with both him and The Giant. The Giant says Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage will be wiped off the face of the planet forever. He calls Flair "the master of psychology and wrestling" and himself "the master of destruction," and says that as soon as he's tagged, it's all over who's the legal man on the other team. Flair says Macho Man can't hid behind Slim Jims and that Hulk Hogan can't hide behind Baywatch tonight.

Right now, you can type "go convention" on Compuserve for live electronic chat with the superstars of World Championship Wrestling!

Dean Malenko beats "Das Wunderkind" Alex Wright.

A man shows up dressed as Elvis Presley, eating a peanut butter and banana sandwich. He does his best Elvis impression to deliver a singing telegram (from Disco Inferno) to The Taskmaster, saying that Disco is at Col. Rob Parker and Sister Sherri's wedding. Taskmaster gives the Elvis impersonator the beating of his life.

Bunkhouse Buck and "Dirty" Dick Slater show up at A Little White Chapel, looking for Col. Robert Parker.

Eric Bischoff interviews Sting and Lex Luger. Luger insists that there is no controversy behind their tag team title win. As Luger speaks, The Road Warriors (Animal and Hawk) make their appearance. Animal says it's good to be back, but business is business, and say that to be the best, they must beat the best and beat the most powerful forces on the planet. Sting wants to go right now, but Lex Luger says that The Road Warriors have been on the shelf for months and that they have other teams to face, including a rematch with Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray). Hawk says Animal's back is too big for Luger's rack. He also says that they're behind on their annual beatings quota, and if Luger wants to be part of that quota, then he's on his way to doing so.

We see an interview with "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff, who says that his injury is to the cervical area of his neck. His right arm is going numb and weakening. He has talked to two different doctors, both of whom recommend surgery. He says the injury is career-ending, and that it came at the worst time of his career as he was on a roll and his confidence was rising. The reason he confronted Flyin' Brian is because he feels Brian don't know what respect is, as do the rest of The Four Horsemen (Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Chris Benoit), and that Brian would never have been a Horseman if he became one so many years ago when "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and Arn Anderson tried to recruit him all those years ago. He says Flair and Anderson knew what they were doing when they put him in the spike piledriver to put him on the shelf. He then tells The Four Horsemen he will not take this sitting down, and that they have not heard the last of "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund finally catches Col. Robert Parker, who wants Okerlund to lend him $50 to pay the tab for the taxi to the wedding chapel after he lost all his money in Vegas. He gets a cellphone call from Sister Sherri, then leaves.

Flyin' Brian beats Eddie Guerrero after grabbing Guerrero's tights. During the match, it is announced that Option 2 of the WCW Hotline is a Mike Tenay interview with WCW Senior Vice President Eric Bischoff concerning skits being used by another wrestling organization. Also during the match, Flyin' Brian grabs Bobby "The Brain" Heenan from behind as he runs around at ringside. Heenan responds by saying "What the fuck are you doing?" before leaving the broadcast area, walking around the ring for a bit, then heading back to commentary and apologizing for his outburst. (This is because Heenan had recently underwent neck surgery, and that nobody was allowed to lay a hand on him due to his injuries. Heenan later stated that he did not know that Brian was grabbing him because he was watching Eddie Guerrero on the monitor, and assumed that it was a fan who jumped the guardrail to touch him. Brian would later apologize to him for the incident backstage.)

Eric Bischoff interviews "Macho Man" Randy Savage, Hulk Hogan and Kevin Greene. Hulk says the three of them have a lot of momentum going for them tonight, and that he'd like to see anybody from The Four Horsemen or The Dungeon of Doom try to interfere. Greene makes it clear he will run through the Dungeon of Doom like the Steelers will run through the Dallas Cowboys on Super Bowl Sunday. Hulk says that Miss Elizabeth will be directing traffic, and that the only problem they'll have tonight after the match is which one of them is going to take Miss Elizabeth out on the town, but Greene says they'll have to go through him first. Savage tells Greene that Miss Elizabeth is pretty tough to go through and that he'll have an easier time going through the Cowboys. Hulk reminds Savage that Miss Elizabeth is more than even Savage can handle.

Sting and Lex Luger retain the WCW World Tag Team Championships against "Lord" Steven Regal and "Earl" Robert Eaton.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund is outside A Little White Chapel with Col. Robert Parker. As Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray) complain about the catering, Sister Sherri shows up and finds out from Parker that he's gambled all the money away and that they'll have to do the drive-thru wedding at the chapel.

After we see Jimmy Hart on the Compuserve chat, Eric Bischoff interviews Flyin' Brian, who calls respect "something you can't buy, something you can't sell, something you can't steal," "what pumps the ice water through The Horsemen's black hearts" and "what caused Double-A to smack me across the face" upon saying that Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndroff has made respect the theme of the night. He plans to teach everyone what respect really is.

Mike Tenay appears on commentary for the next match.

Konnan (whose name is misspelled "Konan") retains the "Mexican Heavyweight Championship" against Psychosis (whose name is misspelled "Psichosis," though his name in Mexico is "Psicosis") by submission.

Sister Sherri gets dressed in the back of the limo at A Little White Chapel. "Mean" Gene Okerlund asks Sherri if he can be the one who gives her away.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund is still at A Little White Chapel. Okerlund walks Sister Sherri down the aisle to the drive-thru booth, and is briefly joined by Disco Inferno. Col. Robert Parker is too nervous to talk, and a tear can be seen in "Dirty" Dick Slater and Bunkhouse Buck's eyes. Nobody objects to the marriage. Parker and Sherri are about to exchange their vows when Madusa comes out of Parker's trailer and attacks Sherri. Sherri and Madusa have to be separated.

"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and The Giant beat Hulk Hogan and "Macho Man" Randy Savage after Ric Flair hits Savage with a taped-up knuckle as Hulk and The Giant fight outside. Kevin Greene tries to explain what happened to the referee, but he and Hulk Hogan have to fight off The Zodiac and Flyin' Brian when they try to cause trouble after the match.
