Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for January 15, 1996

It is announced that Randy Savage will get a shot at the winner of Ric Flair vs. Sting for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.

Lex Luger beats "Macho Man" Randy Savage with the Torture Rack.

Before the next match, The Four Horsemen ("The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, Flyin' Brian and "The Crippler" Chris Benoit) show up with The Dungeon of Doom (The Taskmaster, Jimmy Hart, Hugh Morrus, The Zodiac, One Man Gang, The Giant)...as does "Mean" Gene Okerlund, who asks what's going on. Anderson says that Ric Flair will always be the cornerstone of the Horsemen, and that he and The Taskmaster have had "a meeting of the minds," and that the war between The Horsemen and The Dungeon must come to an end. The Taskmaster says that he has respect for Ric Flair and that he will allow Flair to borrow the services of The Giant at Clash of the Champions. The Taskmaster says that Anderson doesn't get the due that he deserves, and he respects him too. Flyin' Brian, however, is whom The Taskmaster has a problem with. Anderson makes it clear to The Taskmaster that The Horsemen respect him. Flyin' Brian butts in and says "You hear that? We're the Horsemen! We don't fear anybody! Right, Double-A?" which earns him a slap in the face from Anderson, who tells him to keep his mouth shut before he declares that emotional outbursts like the one from Brian must stop. Their partnership will be run like a business, and it will be kept that way, and that The Taskmaster has his word. The Taskmaster says Anderson's word is fine by him and the Dungeon.

Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock) beat The American Males (Marcus Alexander Bagwell and Scotty Riggs) in their WCW debut. The fight goes on after the match, and Bagwell is put through two tables after a somersault senton by Rocco Rock.

The marriage between Col. Tom Parker and Sister Sherri is official for Clash of the Champions next week.

Ric Flair retains the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Sting after Lex Luger accidentally hits Sting with Jimmy Hart's megaphone. Hulk Hogan and "Macho Man" Randy Savage charge the ring, forcing Ric Flair and Lex Luger to run away, then check on Sting along with "Mean" Gene Okerlund, who then holds an interview. Hulk Hogan tells Sting that Lex Luger is holding him down once again, as does Savage, who tells Sting to wake up. Sting can't believe that Lex Luger cost him the match, and heads to the back to confront him. As for Clash of the Champions, they plan to beat Ric Flair and The Giant. Hogan accuses Savage of pulling a fast one on him by keeping him from getting a title shot, but Savage wants none of it as he plans to take advantage of that second chance at the title next week on Nitro.

This Saturday on WCW Saturday Night: Hulk Hogan! Harlem Heat vs. Sting and Lex Luger! A special interview with Jim Belushi!

Meng and The Taskmaster attack a cameraman before the next match.

Hulk Hogan beats Meng after "Macho Man" Randy Savage stops The Taskmaster from interfering and Hogan uses Meng's own golden spike against him.
