Final iMPACT! - iMPACT! recap for September 3, 2026

Matt Hardy heads to the ring to start tonight's show. The "A MATTer of Fact" Fact is "Matt Hardy always partakes in Tim Hortons while in Canada." Matt says that he and Jeff Hardy walked into Lockdown as TNA World Tag Team Champions, but did not walk out as champions, then says there are no excuses and The Nemeths ("The Wanted Man" Nic and "The Hollywood Hunk" Ryan Nemeth). Matt goes on to talk about how everyone calls them "the GOATs" and says that he and Jeff did not live up to expectations at Lockdown. He says that he and Jeff achieved their dream of being World Tag Team Champions multiple times over, and calls TNA's tag titles the most special ones they have held. He says that he and Jeff are 35 years into their pro wrestling journey and that they are planning to cash in their championship rematch clause and win those titles back, yet Jeff was taken out backstage and had to be put in an ambulance. Matt says that being by Jeff's side on the trip to the hospital and Jeff not remembering what happened caused him to believe that Jeff did not bounce back, and believes that The Nemeths are behind the backstage attack. Matt holds The Nemeths responsible for what happened to Jeff, then proclaims that The Hardys will not die. Suddenly, The Nemeths show up and head to the ring, and Nic mocks Matt's entire promo by insinuating that it is all hypocrisy and states that when The Nemeths win the tag team titles, they do it for the money, and it makes them happy. He also warns Matt not to put the blame on them for the attack on Jeff, and states that when they beat The Hardys, it was to prove that they are the best tag team in the world today. Nic also says that if he is taking Jeff out, he is not doing it for free; because of that, they had nothing to do with the backstage attack on Jeff. Matt tells Nic that he made a mistake coming out here, then fights The Nemeths until security gets in the ring to break up the brawl.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Trey Miguel. Trey says that he and Jason Hotch both want Mustafa Ali and the International Championship, and while he respects and trained Hotch, they both know what they are capable of, and tonight is about something better. He hopes that Mustafa is watching from his hospital bed, as he deserves everything that is coming to him after tonight.

Backstage, we hear from Elayna Black, who says that everything that happened at Lockdown may have affected her more than she thought, but she is not making excuses. All of a sudden, The Elegance Brand (The Personal Concierge George Iceman, Heather by Elegance, M by Elegance, Mr. Elegance) show up and make fun of Elayna for being on the losing end again before The Personal Concierge state that they are celebrating tonight. M says that the difference between her and Elayna is that she does not disappoint everyone who came to see her when the pressure is on. Elayna tells M to be careful, as she might take the Knockouts Television Championship away from her. M says that Elayna will not face her, but Heather will. Elayna is happy to hear this and walks past The Elegance Brand, while Heather feels like she has been thrown under the bus as the rest of The Elegance Brand is in celebration mode.

Before the next match, Expressions states that Toronto, Ontario, Canada (which Brampton is a part of) has been the worst place he has visited in the whole of America and that the best part of the place is the airport that will take him back to "the greatest city in the world" London, England. He tells the fans not to boo him, as "Toronto sucks like a vacuum cleaner," before introducing AJ Francis.

AJ Francis quickly beats Brent Oakley. During the match, Oakley takes Expressions' hat and puts it on, but when he runs away from Expressions back into the ring, Francis hits him with the TFL for the win. After the match, AJ Francis reintroduces himself as "the best big man in the business" and "the greatest AJ to ever step foot in a TNA ring." He then says there is no better person for Avery Styles' first TNA match than him before calling Avery out so he can give him the ass-whupping that his father never did. Director of Authority Santino Marella shows up and states while he does not normally agree with "AJ Francini and his sidekick Expresso," he has to agree in this case, then has Avery Styles come out to the stage. Avery shows up, and Santino asks Avery if he wants to face AJ Francis in his debut match, to which Avery says "Hell yeah." All of a sudden, Frankie Kazarian shows up and says this is not happening, as Avery is not ready for this, then walks off with Avery.

Backstage, Daria Rae meets with Xia Brookside and Zoey Serrano. She is confident that Brookside and Serrano will win, but tells them to "beat [Indi Hartwell and Harley Hudson] and end them."

Indi Hartwell and Harley Hudson beat Xia Brookside and Zoey Serrano by submission after Indi makes Brookside tap out. During the match, Zoey Serrano shoves a fan in the front row for starting a "Zoey sucks" chant and is confronted by TNA's Head of Security.

As per the TNA Injury Report: Jeff Hardy is out for the foreseeable following with head and torso trauma from last week's backstage attack, and the identity of his attacker remains unknown. Several members of the TNA roster are dealing with the lingering effects of Lockdown, including Mustafa Ali, who is still recovering from a punctured lung.

It is revealed that "The Hollywood Hunk" Ryan Nemeth has been attacked at a stairwell backstage.

Leon Slater guests on commentary for the next match. Before the next match, Joe Alonzo calls Toronto, Ontario, Canada "Montreal" and tells everyone to get on their feet and show some respect for the best professional wrestler this generation has ever seen. Alonzo says that tonight is a monumental night, as tonight is his official TNA iMPACT! debut, and says that Leon Slater is no longer X-Division Champion because he would rather put the title on the shelf than lose it to him. After telling Slater to sit back and watch him make an example out of "that Oompa Loompa" KC Navarro, he says that the fans "hate Joe Alonzo because they ain't Joe Alonzo" and says that if he weren't Joe Alonzo, "I'd hate me, too."

KC Navarro beats Joe Alonzo in a Bound for Glory TNA X-Division Championship qualifier despite Joe Alonzo using the referee as a human shield.

We hear from Fabian Aichner, who congratulates KC Navarro and looks forward to facing him at Bound for Glory after everything they have been through together, then says that he will punch his ticket next week and become the next TNA X-Division Champion.

Allie and Kiera Hogan's open challenge is answered by Vipress and Shazza McKenzie.

Backstage, Daria Rae is met by Indi Hartwell. Daria Rae makes Gabby Forza the new #1 contender for the TNA Knockouts World Championship just to spite Indi, then pretends to get a phone call and walks away when Indi sees through her.

Backstage, we hear from Ricky Sosa, who says that the last few weeks have been rough for him. He says he is still in pain, but he is not going anywhere, and The System (Eddie Edwards, Alisha Edwards, Brian Myers, Bear Bronson, Cedric Alexander) will not put him down, for he is still standing. The System then show up, and Eddie says that they decide when things are finished and that they were finished after Lockdown. Myers says Ricky Sosa has guts, but it means nothing against "the gatekeepers of TNA." Elijah shows up and sides with Ricky Sosa after The System left him laying last week, and says that they have unfinished business. Eddie tells Elijah to take it up with Director of Authority Santino Marella, then The System leaves.

Dutch beats BDE. When the match begins, Vincent tells BDE that he and Dutch see something in BDE and that BDE is looking for his place, and that they know what BDE wants: his very first singles victory in TNA. Vincent says The Righteous (Vincent and Dutch) can give it to him, and tells Dutch to lay down. Dutch lays down, and tells BDE to pin him. BDE hits Dutch with an elbow drop instead. Dutch eventually wins the match after countering the Clip Cutter with Death Walks. After the match, Vincent attacks Rich Swann from behind when Rich Swann checks on BDE, then Dutch carries BDE with him to the back.

Backstage, Mila Moore takes a call - and orders - from Mustafa Ali, then John Skyler shows up seemingly to ask Mila Moore out on a date only for Mila Moore to take another call.

Trey Miguel vs. Jason Hotch in a TNA International Championship #1 contender's match ends in a no-contest after Special Agent Zero shows up and takes out both men.

Backstage, security have to get between "The Wanted Man" Nic Nemeth and Matt Hardy, with Nic Nemeth believed that Matt attacked his brother, "The Hollywood Hunk" Ryan Nemeth. Director of Authority Santino Marella has to get between them, saying he does not know who attacked Ryan Nemeth, then says that if they have a problem, then they can have a match next week with the TNA World Championship on the line.

Will Ospreay heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Ospreay apologizes for his rough appearance following a post-championship win bender before thanking the fans from those who have been there since the beginning from the ones who followed him since his AEW debut. He then addresses Kenny Omega, saying that they both took each other to the limit and that he had to keep fighting because he wanted the AEW World Championship. He says that Omega has been the best in the world for the last ten years and still is. Ospreay says that 364 days out of the year, Omega is a better wrestler than him, but it took one day for him to become champion. He then mentions that he and Omega have two wins apiece. Ospreay says he wanted Omega to recognize him as an equal, and he is fine with that tie, but if Omega is not satisfied, then he can name the time and place and they can sort this once and for all. Ospreay thinks about past AEW World Champions and how so many of them are his heroes, then announces that he is among them and that he has worked for this, stating that his heroes are now his rivals. He admits that he has struggled to say that he is the guy, but now that he is AEW World Champion, he is the standard, "the billy goat" and the best in the world now. Ospreay says that anyone who wants to take the title from him will have to walk through the same fire he did and see him at the end of the line. Ospreay thanks his teammates in United Empire (Henare, Francesco Akira, Callum Newman), then says that while United Empire will stay in Japan, he will start creating his own opportunities in AEW and create his own United Empire in the United States. The Demand (Ricochet, Bishop Kaun, Toa Liona) suddenly show up with Ricochet interrupting, and Ricochet says Ospreay knows just as well as he does that they have unfinished business and acknowledges that Ospreay's match at All In was magic. Ricochet says that no one knows Ospreay like he does and that Ospreay would not be in the main event of All In without him, then demands the first opportunity at the AEW World Championship. Clark Connors and Gabe Kidd suddenly show up and interrupt, with Gabe Kidd saying that Ospreay has taken his chance and that it is nothing compared to what he will take from Ospreay and his family. Ricochet says he will get the first opportunity at the title, but Gabe Kidd says he wants Ospreay's life, and that he does not mind doing it five-on-one. United Empire shows up from behind Ospreay to match the numbers. Ospreay says they can go at it right now in their street clothes, or they can have an eight-man tag match in their gear for tonight's main event.

Swerve Strickland and The New Level (Kofi and "Awesome" Austin Creed) retain the AEW World Trios Championships against The Rascalz (Zachary Wentz, Dezmond Xavier, Myron Reed). After the match, The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) show up and congratulate The New Level as both teams have a brief staredown before The Young Bucks head to the ring.

The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) are in the ring after the commercial break. Matt addresses what happened at All In and asks Adam Copeland and Christian Cage if they had to beat them the way that they did and if they are happy with themselves and satisfied with how they did it, then want Copeland and Christian to answer to their faces. Instead of Copeland and Christian, FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) and Stokely Hathaway show up instead, and Stokely says that he cannot believe what he is hearing and that only two people matter in this ring: FTR. Stokely says The Young Bucks blew it at Revolution, blew it at All In and now want to blow it for a third time, then Dax says that "Daddy's home" and that The Young Bucks had their chance and lost again in front of friends and family. He says that FTR have beaten both The Young Bucks and the team of Copeland and Christians, then tells them to step aside so they can become five-time tag team champions. Nick says they have beaten FTR too, but have also made them say "I quit." Christian and Copeland arrive on the stage, and Christian says "They don't ask how you won; they ask who won." He reveals that his wrist and forearm were never hurt, and that they have both beaten FTR and The Young Bucks and stayed tag team champions. He is amazed that they are not so embarrassed that they would take a 50% pay cut and go somewhere else than be embarrassed by them again, then Copeland says that he is not pleased with how they won and says they are better than that. Christian says there is a way to make it right and entitles The Young Bucks as well as FTR to a tag team title rematch at All Out in a three-way Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Will Ospreay and United Empire (Henare, Francesco Akira, Callum Newman). Ospreay says there is no heat and that is time to move on, yet he has not found a fifth man. Callum Empire says he knows a guy who has been in the Empire for some time now: Andrade el Idolo. Andrade el Idolo comes out from behind a nearby door and congratulates Ospreay after saying "How you know?" and shaking hands with everyone else.

Don Callis guests on commentary for the next match.

Darby Allin retains the TNT Championship against Mark Davis. After the match, Trent Beretta and Rocky "Azucar" Romero attack Darby. Steven Borden gets in the ring and makes quick work of both men, then stares down Mark Davis. Davis teases getting in the ring, then Borden is attacked from behind by a returning Josh Alexander. "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander puts Darby in an ankle lock, and Mark Davis hits Borden with a piledriver.

In backstage footage from All In, MJF says he had to win the Men's Casino Gauntlet Match to prove that he is the undisputed "One True Champion" and that he is in this position because of Will Ospreay. He says that Ospreay is what is wrong with his life, and if anybody else in AEW got screwed the way that he did, the match would have been tossed out. MJF says nobody likes him because he is a cold dose of reality nobody wants to deal with. He says that thinking of him is thinking of the other wrestlers that are on his level and that it makes people mad that he is the biggest needle mover in AEW and that there is nobody more important in AEW than him. MJF says payback is coming and that payback is a bitch, and that nobody will see it coming, and that by the time he finally does hand off some payback, everyone will be begging for it.

Megan Bayne beats Alex Windsor. During the match, Jamie Hayter stops Lena Kross from using one of the AEW Women's World Tag Team Championship, and the referee fails to see Megan Bayne do the same and hit Alex Windsor with one of them. This allows Bayne to hit Windsor with the Megabomb for the win. After the match, The Divine Dominion (Bayne and Kross) briefly attack Windsor before Hayter chases them out of the ring.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Chris Jericho, who mentions "The Prodigy" Nick Wayne getting pinned before Nick Wayne shows up, confronts Jericho and says he not only owning the ring, but taking Jericho out of the Men's Casino Gauntlet. Jericho is impressed with Nick Wayne's talent for his age, but says he is still only 21 years old. Jericho insults Nick Wayne's necklace, and this starts a brawl that ends with Nick Wayne kicking Jericho in the groin.

Mercedes Moné heads to the ring for her AEW Women's World Championship champion's celebration. Mercedes thanks the fans and says she has not stopped smiling since All In, and says that she wanted and needed to be in AEW because it was the only place where the women's revolution could be globalized, and now, she is AEW Women's World Champion. She says that she took a bet on herself and says that this is what happens when you stop asking permission to be great. Mercedes says she has travelled the world and won championship after championship to become great on her own terms. Mercedes announces that she is the first woman to win world championship in four major companies, and says that to get here, she needed to leave one thing behind: Willow Nightingale. She says she showed everyone who Willow Nightingale truly is at All In, and mentions that Willow Nightingale ruined her face. She thought that Willow was trying to stop her from her destiny, but she really pushed her towards it. Mercedes then mockingly thanks Willow, saying that she is the one smiling now after having taken Willow's smile and Willow's title and that the women's division is now standing in her kingdom. She says that this is her moment, then says that what she wants for the AEW Women's World Championship does not exist yet before stating that it soon will now that she is champion. Mercedes is suddenly interrupted by "The Toxic Spider" Thekla, who shows up in the crowd with her own tequila while impressed with Mercedes' promo. She congratulates Mercedes, then says that for all Mercedes has done, she has never been "toxic." She thanks Mercedes for what she did to Willow Nightingale, saying that Willow deserved to be humiliated, then notes that Mercedes like to swing the Women's World Championship between her legs and that "nobody swings it bigger than Thekla." Thekla also states that since she has been gone, Mercedes has been calling people "dumb bitches," and says that the only thing she hates more than dumb bitches is dumb bitches calling other people dumb bitches. She also says that even though Mercedes is CEO, she does not work for her. Thekla then raises a tequila toast to Mercedes, then tells Mercedes to let her know when she is ready to give her the Women's World Championship back.

We hear from Persephone and Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. Britt Baker says she is here for a guarantee and that Persephone has a killer instinct to do whatever it takes to take what is hers. Britt says she has gone where no other champion has been before and that Persephone will take the TBS Championship where it has never been before. Persephone says that they did not need each other, but together, they are eternal and have no Achilles' heel. She says that she did everyone a favor and stole the gold Sunday night, and that on Saturday, she will defend the TBS Championship on Collision.

Jon Moxley beats AR Foxx in an AEW Continental Championship Eliminator Match.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Don Callis, "The Protostar" Kyle Fletcher and "The Jet" Kevin Knight. Knight says he will not be demeaned on national television, then brings up how Fletcher lost his match. Callis has to get both men to stop arguing, saying that will they have individual setbacks, he has a new plan to create some cohesion: putting Fletcher and Knight in a tag team match against The Bang Bang Gang (Juice Robinson and Ace Austin) on Collision, much to the chagrin of both Fletcher and Knight. A grinning "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada shows up, saying "Family, Kyle...family," then walks off as Fletcher gets angry with him.

Will Ospreay, Andrade el Idolo and United Empire (Callum Newman, Henare, Francesco Akira) beat The Demand (Ricochet, Bishop Kaun, Toa Liona) and The Dogs (Gabe Kidd and Clark Connors) in a ten-man tag match. After the match, Andrade and Ospreay shake hands, then Gabe Kidd pulls Andrade out of the ring, starting a post-match brawl between the two teams that security cannot stop. Gabe Kidd hits Will Ospreay with a low blow, then The Death Riders show up. Moxley stops Kidd from using the chair not once, but twice, and Andrade takes out Gabe Kidd and chases him through the crowd. Moxley then stares Ospreay down before handing him the AEW World Championship before placing his hand on Ospreay's neck. It is then revealed that Ospreay will defend the AEW World Championship against Moxley at All Out. Both Moxley and Ospreay are shocked at this turn of events as the show ends.

Generation NXT - NXT recap for September 1, 2026

Zilla Fatu heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Zilla was hoping he would be NXT Champion tonight, but Heatwave did not go his way. He thought he had everything figured out, but he took the loss and he did not get the job done despite the red carpet rolled out for him. He then says that it felt amazing to be in NXT in the first place, then states that it is just a matter of when he holds the title. All of a sudden, Zilla is interrupted by Tristan Angels. Tristan says that nobody wants to hear Zilla prattle about Heatwave any further and that the fans have the attention span of fruit flies, then tells Zilla that he is not the main one in his own family, much less NXT, and had no chance of winning. He says that there is nothing about Zilla that makes him a champion unlike him. Zilla calls Tristan "Gangrel Jr.," then says that while he likes his accent, he does not like his attitude. Zilla says his family in Texas saw him in action, but his family in Orlando gets to see him whip that ass. Tristan goes for a cheap shot, saying that Zilla wants his second loss in NXT, but Zilla gets the better of him.

Backstage, General Manager Robert Stone plans on making Tristan Angels vs. Zilla Fatu tonight's main event; meanwhile, EK Prosper and Saquon Shugars are wanting a match with Grayson Waller. Stone says both men are in consideration, then Keanu Carver shows up and says he wants Grayson, too. He says Stone is in a pickle and asks him what he will do.

In this week's NXT Spotlight, we hear from Naraku, who says that just because Shiloh Hill has researched his mist does not mean he knows the mystery. He says he will show the world why Shiloh Hill will live in darkness.

We hear from Myles Borne, who says that he does not regret defending two title on Sunday and that he had no excuses. He also knew that the tag team titles meant something to Tavion Heights, and he did not believe that Tavion would turn on him. He says that he saw it coming and got Tavion before Tavion got him.

Naraku beats Shiloh Hill after spitting green mist into his hand. Shiloh ducks to avoid having mist spit into his eyes, but Naraku goes for Shiloh's eyes with the misted hand instead, which gives him the pin and the win.

In backstage footage from earlier today, Noam Dar, Romeo Moreno, "Super" Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux mention their plans for the rising NXT tag team division. This leads to the two teams having a match over who is the better team tonight, which is coming up next.

Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno beat "Super" Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux after Noam Dar gets the knees up on a springboard move by Sean Legacy. After the match, The Creed Brothers (Julius and Brutus Creed) show up and decimate both teams.

Backstage, General Manager Robert Stone meets with Zaria, who says that with Wren Sinclair gone, so is the WWE Women's Speed Championship, which she hands to Stone before leaving. Birthright, who is also in the room, are forced to relinquish the WWE Speed Championship. Charlie Dempsey says that Birthright (Lexis King, Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo, Uriah Connors, Charlie Dempsey, Arianna Grace) is not taken seriously and that it is time to stop giving and start taking. Birthright leave, then Cruz Montana shows up, saying he is trying to keep himself in check and that he wants Grayson Waller for the NXT Championship. Stone says that Grayson will be in the ring to address everyone. Keanu Carver shows up and says that Tony D'Angelo will be wanting his championship rematch, and that it must suck to be Stone.

Kelani Jordan heads to the ring. Kelani says that she and Kendal Grey had one of the best matches of the year at Heatwave, and now, people are talking about how great she has always been. She then says that she beat "the woman who would revolutionize women's wrestling." Kelani says that Kendal was in over her head when she sent her into the turnbuckle post and that Kendal is now in the hospital for vertigo, and that Wren Sinclair will take care of Kendal like the good little sidekick she is. After proclaiming that Kendal Grey will always be second-best compared to her, Kelani says that since she is now NXT Women's Champion after just one shot, no one will take the title from her or overlook her ever again. Jaida Parker shows up and says that she called her shot at Heatwave and overcame the biggest thorn in her side in Nattie and tapped her out, and in the last four months, she has upped her game to championship material. Jaida then says that she is now focused on the NXT Women's Championship and that she has already beaten Kelani before, then says she has her gear in the back and they can run it tonight. Kelani says that all Jaida does is talk and that Jaida is still three levels before her, then states that since she is a fighting champion, they can face off, just not tonight. She says Jaida does not tell her when to defend her title, and that she will see Jaida next week. Thea Hail then heads to the ring for the next match as Kelani Jordan makes her way out.

Thea Hail beats Nikkita Lyons.

It is announced that Kendal Grey has suffered a disturbance in her vestibular system after being sent into the exposed turnbuckle at Heatwave and that Kendal Grey is out for the foreseeable future on NXT.

Mason Rook beats Kam Hendrix to get his first singles win in NXT after Hendrix exposes a turnbuckle only for Rook to send him into the turnbuckle twice.

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews Tavion Heights. Tavion says he is feeling a wave of emotions right now, including betrayal and confusion, after losing his first title. Tavion says that he would never turn on Myles Borne. Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes show up and say that Tavion and Myles Borne were never friends, and Jackson Drake and Myka Lockwood show up and say they should give Tavion a bit of grace. Tavion threatens to take the NXT North American Championship from Jackson Drake for acting like he earned it, and Drake says that he has no problem getting an easy win on a former Olympian.

Zilla Fatu beats Tristan Angels. After the match, Birthright (Lexis King, Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo, Uriah Connors, Charlie Dempsey, Arianna Grace) show up and welcome Zilla to NXT. Charlie Dempsey says that Zilla is destined for greatness like they are and that he is taken seriously, then offer Zilla a spot in Birthright so that together, they can take over NXT. Charlie Dempsey also says that Zilla will be bottom of the barrel in the Birthright, and Lexis King tells Zilla that he will be treated like family. Zilla refuses and bumps into Lexis on the way out, then superkicks him when Lexis turns him around. Zilla gets out of the ring quickly when the rest of Birthright come after him.

General Manager Robert Stone introduces Grayson Waller to the ring. Grayson says that Stone has a bonafide superstar as his champion and that Vic Joseph should be grateful he talks about him every week, then says that the NXT Championship is the greatest accomplishment of his WWE career. Grayson says he only has himself to think after coming back to NXT and defeating his demons as well as getting in the best shape of his life, then says he forced the world to listen. He says that redemption season is just beginning, then wants to know who will be the first to knock him off his pedestal, mocking his Heatwave opponents in the process, when all of a sudden, Saquon Shugars shows up. Saquon tells Grayson to watch himself before he rocks his dome like he did Dion Lennox, then Cruz Montana shows up in the crowd and says he is ready for him, as Grayson did not beat three weeks ago or at Heatwave. EK Prosper shows up and says he has a taste for gold and that he will keep swinging for the fences, then Mason Rook shows up and threatens to beat Grayson up for disrespecting the locker room. Tony D'Angelo shows up and says nobody else has a claim for the NXT Championship, saying that he kept the men's division together with his bare hands and that he never got his one-on-one match. Keanu Carver shows up and proposes that Robert Stone make a six-man tag match next week, with the winners in a Triple Threat Match to decide a #1 contender. Stone says there are five people, but Keanu gets in the ring to make himself the sixth person after telling Stone he has the biggest decision of his life to make. Stone makes the match official, then all six men not named Grayson Waller in the ring brawl with each other as Grayson gets away and watches from the announce table to end the show.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for August 31, 2026

At the start of the show, The Usos (Jimmy and "Main Event" Jey Uso) are attacked by Royce Keys and OTM (Bronco Nima and Lucien Price) in the parking lot, and Jacob Fatu runs out to the parking lot with a pipe as Royce and OTM speed off. The Usos' faces as well as any blood in the immediate area are mosaiced out as officials check on them, and Jacob Fatu is furious.

Raquel Rodriguez retains the WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship against Sol Ruca. Jacob Fatu interrupts the match unexpectedly before it begins and calls out Royce Keys and OTM (Bronco Nima and Lucien Price), saying that if they want to start a war, he will bring one to them and he will dog walk all three of them, calling them "motherfuckers" in the process. His microphone is soon cut off. Later on in the match, Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez rush in to get involved, and Sol Ruca fends them off. As Sol Ruca goes for the Sol Snatcher, however, Lyra Valkyria is suddenly on the ring apron. Lyra grabs Sol Ruca by the neck, and that allows Raquel to pluck Sol Ruca out of the corner for a Tejana Bomb to win and retain.

We see a video package for Penta vs. Rey Fenix in the finals of the World Heavyweight Championship #1 contender's tournament later tonight.

Chad Gable heads to the ring. Gable says that he achieved everything that he had looked for when he won the Intercontinental Championship, then realized that he does not feel that way, as the real work begins now and the work is how he is remembered as a champion by the fans. He says he started carving that legacy two weeks ago against Rey Mysterio, and that he would be remiss if he did not mention what the fans in Mexico did for him during his time in AAA, saying that he would not be champion without them. Gable says he did not want to return to Mexico without a way to repay them, and now he does, as Raw is returning to Mexico City, Mexico for the first time in fifteen years and he will be defending the WWE Intercontinental Championship there. Gable says that there are many who are worthy of a shot at the title, then introduces one of those men in Dragon Lee. Dragon Lee shows up and heads to the ring, and Gable says that his recent match was awe-inspiring and that Dragon Lee continues to be one of his favorite talents on the roster. Dragon Lee says that it is an honor to be in the ring with Gable, then Gable says that General Manager Adam Pearce has left it up to him to decide who he defends the Intercontinental Championship against. "All Ego" Ethan Page shows up and says that Gable is offering anothre title opportunity to "an undeserving, talentless luchador," and while he understands while Gable feels bad for how he treated everybody, he does not have to go easy on himself and he can pick him for a real challenger. Gable tells Ethan that his name is low on the list of people he wants to defend with below The Honky Tonk Man, but Ethan says The Honky Tonk Man has a legacy and says that Gable should stop being a charity case or else he will be a paper champion. Ethan then interrupts Dragon Lee, who interrupts Ethan back and says that Ethan has a big mouth before challenging him to a match right here and right now. Ethan asks Dragon Lee if he is sure he wants that, but Gable says that is a great idea and decides to raise the stakes by making the winner the one who wrestles him for the Intercontinental Championship in Mexico City. Gable watches the next match from ringside.

Dragon Lee beats "All Ego" Ethan Page to face Chad Gable for the WWE Intercontinental Championship in Mexico City, Mexico in two weeks. During the match, Ethan throws Dragon Lee into Gable, and Chad Gable chases Ethan back into the ring. This distracts the referee, allowing Ethan to remove a top rope turnbuckle cover. Dragon Lee charges at Ethan only for Ethan to send him into that turnbuckle, and when the referee is focused on the match again, he realizes what Ethan has done, thanks to Gable. Dragon Lee then hits Operation Dragon for the win and the title shot.

It is announced that WWE has a three-year agreement with the country of Australia and will be in the country for televised programs in mid-December.

Roman Reigns arrives at the arena and meets with Jacob Fatu, who tells Reigns that it is not looking good for The Usos (Jimmy and "Main Event" Jey Uso) as he mentions what happened. Jacob says that he has not seen this side of Royce Keys since they were younger and that Royce Keys can be a problem, but Reigns tells Jacob that Royce is his problem and that he must handle him while everything else is his problem. Reigns then heads to the ring, and says that being the one true champion, the only champion that matters and the Tribal Chief is a burden, as everyone wants what he has. Reigns says he should be celebrating the tournament to decide a new opponent for his title and that he should be talking about Penta and Rey Fenix and showing respect, for they are earning it, unlike everyone else around here who "pisses and moans" for a shot at the title. This then brings Reigns to Solo Sikoa, saying that Solo will eventually acknowledge him and serve his family and legacy, and that Solo blew that opportunity for LA Knight. He says that Knight reminds Solo of The Rock, but Knight is not family. As Reigns is about to talk further about Knight, Knight shows up on the stage and says that while he should be talking about Royce Keys and OTM (Bronco Nima and Lucien Price), Roman Reigns is recycling material from three years ago. He says that Reigns is doing thing the wrong way, as he has called his name only for Reigns to put family and tournaments he could not enter between them. He also says that "OTC" stands for "One Tremendous Coward" and wants Reigns to admit that he is scared of him, saying that Reigns was not here last week due to nursing his injuries, then tells him that when he whips the horse, he has to take the ride, and they will ride right now. All of a sudden, it is revealed on the video screen that Solo Sikoa has been attacked backstage, with Jacob Fatu watching as officials check on him. Knight heads backstage and confronts Jacob, then Knight is attacked from out of nowhere by Roman Reigns with a Superman Punch. Reigns tells Jacob to handle Royce Keys while he handles LA Knight.

We see a vignette of a woman in a white two-piece bathing suit on a beach before seeing a woman in a gym practicing kickboxing. Lola Vice arrives on September 14th.

Je'Von Evans beats "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio by disqualificaton after JD McDonagh attacks Je'Von on the outside in full view of the referee. After the match, Joe Hendry arrives as Dominik and McDonagh are about to gang up on Je'Von, and Hendry makes the save. General Manager Adam Pearce shows up and angrily states that he is tired of Judgment Day (Dominik and McDonagh) interference before restarting the match as a tag match.

The Judgment Day ("Dirty" Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh) beat Je'Von Evans and Joe Hendry after McDonagh headbutts Hendry on the outside, allowing Dominik to hit the top rope splash for the pin and the win.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Becky Lynch. Becky is soon interrupted by Stephanie Vaquer, who also wants to know why Becky helped her. Becky says she saw an opportunity to beat up The Judgment Day and took it, but if she did want to help someone, it would be someone who would take one three women at once and it would be Vaquer, who Becky says she would rather face for the Women's World Championship than Liv Morgan. Vaquer says that she does not Becky's help, but Becky says Vaquer owes her one and owes her some respect, and that if Vaquer wins the title, she gets first crack at it. Vaquer takes this as Becky showing her true colors after she started to trust her, and says that the Women's World Championship deserves her, not the other way around.

We see a video package for Oba Femi vs. Bron Breakker at Sunday Night's Main Event, then Cathy Kelly interviews Paul Heyman, who has watched the promo backstage. Heyman says that this is a match that both men must win and neither man must lose, and while the winner becomes known as the future of WWE, while the loser will has a big dip in momentum. He says that he has respect for both men and that Bron Breakker will bring a fight to Oba Femi like Oba Femi has never seen before, and that he knows what is as stake and what is on the line. Heyman says his guess is as good as anyone else's and that everyone will see who the future of WWE is on Sunday.

Backstage, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez congratulate "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh on a job well done against Je'Von Evans and Joe Hendry. Roxanne hopes that Becky Lynch gets in the way so she can handle her, but Liv says she is not worried and that she will defeat Stephanie Vaquer and retain the Women's World Championship again next week.

It is reported that Solo Sikoa and The Usos (Jimmy and "Main Event" Jey Uso) have been transported to a local medical facility to be evaluated for mulitple injuries, and that updates are forthcoming.

Penta beats Rey Fenix to win the World Heavyweight Championship #1 contender's tournament and face Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship in Mexico City, Mexico. After the match, Roman Reigns shows up and has a staredown in the ring with Penta.

Let's Go! - LFG recap for August 30, 2026 (Episode Two)

We see Braxton Cole clearing his mind at a golf course. He talks about how he is self-taught save for a book by Ben Hogan and how he is able to pick up on anything that he does, even though WWE is more cutthroat than ever and that he hopes to make an opportunity out of it.

Coach Matt Bloom weets with Bubba Ray Dudley, Booker T and Nattie. Nattie gets Tristan Angels vs. Trill London. Bloom says Tristan's character work is on point and needs his aggression to match, and wants Trill London to focus on the fundamentals and not get bored with them. Booker T says that Trill wants to do all the big moves but needs to learn the fundamentals and fit them into what he is doing. Booker T gets Kali Armstrong vs. Layla Diggs. Bloom says that Armstrong is the diamond of the season and that Diggs wants to see if she can measure up. Bubba Ray Dudley gets Harlem Lewis vs. Braxton Cole, both of whom have asked to work with Bubba. Bloom says that he likes what both men are doing, and wants to let both men do what they need to do while also getting Braxton's gimmick across.

Nattie meets with Tristan Angels and Trill London. Trill wants to be more comfortable in the ring and find his footing, while Tristan says that this is wrestling, not the NFL, and that this is his domain. Nattie feels that Tristan is the veteran in the match, but is new to the WWE style. Myla Lockwood is once again Tristan's second for the match, and Nattie utilizes the relationship between Tristan and Myka to get Tristan to be more of a heel.

Tristan Angels beats Trill London (who has a vintage camera as part of his gimmick) by count-out after Myka Lockwood, who is brought into the match by Tristan at the beginning of the match to be his second, throws a chair in the ring to distract the referee before tossing Tristan into the ring behind the referee's back, all while Trill is still unable to get back in the ring despite the distraction. Nattie notes that both men deviated from how she taught them to do something, saying they "acted instead of reacted." She also mentions that there have been no rest spots in the match. Nattie and Booker T are puzzled by the finish. After the match, Nattie says Tristan did well as a leader in the match, then says that he wants to see Trill's face more during the match. Trill feels that the finish felt a little "spacy" and could have been tighter. Coach Matt Bloom says that Tristan did well but could have sold better. Tristan says that if he can keep on working, he could get somewhere.

Booker T meets with Kali Armstrong and Layla Diggs. Booker works with Armstrong on her spinebuster off the Irish whip, and wants Armstrong to be "the complete wrestler" who can check off multiple boxes; as for Layla, he says she checks off as many boxes as Armstrong. Layla says that Booker T is a genius at things one would not think of as well as selling and capturing the audience. Layla says that Armstrong is good and can bring the fire, and that she has to step up as well.

Kali Armstrong beats Layla Diggs. During the match, Kali Armstrong gets hit hard in the head, and is still feeling the effects after winning the match. After the match, Layla feels bad about hurting Armstrong, but she is glad she is okay; Booker T says that they did everyting Coach Matt Bloom says it was not a bad match and could not be more proud of them, and tells them to keep working.

Bubba Ray Dudley meets with Harlem Lewis and Braxton Cole. Bubba lets the two of then do what they need to do, and has Braxton take advantage of a hurt leg during the match. Harlem mentions Bubba Ray being adamant on Braxton Cole's book and wanting it to be part of the match, and Braxton Cole saying that Booker T did not want him to use the book as it would make him "a gimmicky wrestler." Braxton Cole mentions Booker T's King Booker gimmick, and Bubba Ray tells Braxton to work with what works and incorporate the book into the match and the finish. Even Harlem agrees that the book is entertaining. Before the match, Bubba Ray says "If the match is the shits, don't come back here," which irks Harlem.

Harlem Lewis beats Braxton Cole. Braxton's book for the match is "The Psychology of Winners." During the match, Braxton Cole removes a turnbuckle cover, and as the referee replaces the cover, Braxton hits Harlem with the book, then attacks the hurt left leg. Braxton tries to use the book as a weapon agaon, but Harlem hits him with a big boot and hits a jackhammer for the win. After the match, Bubba Ray Dudley notes some people giving Harlem Lewis a standing ovation in the crowd. Shawn Michaels and Coach Matt Bloom compliment both men, as does Bubba Ray, who says that they brought it all together. Afterwards, Bubba Ray privately tells Harlem Lewis that he is going to Las Vegas for WrestleMania weekend, saying that Shawn and Coach Bloom like him a lot and that it is the closest he is going to WrestleMania.

Coach Matt Bloom mentions that there are so many people on the roster and that progress has to be gauged and hard choices have to be made. He states that Trill London, Chris Island, Sirena Linton and Carlee Bright have been released, and that he has had nothing but positive things to stay about them. He says it is easier to release the ones who do not work hard and do not have the passion, and says that they were just not growing at the rate that they needed to grow.

Let's Go! - LFG recap for August 30, 2026 (Episode One)

Head Coach Matt Bloom meets with Nattie, Kevin Owens and Bubba Ray Dudley. Bloom says it is WrestleMania season and a high-pressure season, and that they will be picking the four talent that will best represent LFG at WWE World at WrestleMania this year. Bubba Ray has Sirena Linton vs. Carlee Bright. Both women are coming off an injury, and he wants them to tell a simple story and do it well, while also not getting hurt. Bubba Ray Nattie gets Chris Island vs. Shady Elnahas, with Chris just having shown his best effort and just needed to be consistent and Shady needing to show more of what he can do. Nattie wants to see both of their brands of aggression, Kevin Owens gets the main event of Nikkita Lyons vs. Masyn Holiday. This wil be Masyn's first LFG main event, but she will be in the ring with a ring general in Nikkita who might get called up any day now. Bloom would also like to see Masyn work heel.

Bubba Ray Dudley meets with Sirena Linton and Carlee Bright. Carlee talks about how she could not do anything with her left leg until she got cleared, while Sirena Linton talks about how she had to get an emergency appendectomy. Bubba Ray asks both women to keep it simple and give a good, strong, solid match, and wants Carlee to sell and Sirena to show more of her heelish intention. He also has Carlee perform a pre-match promo before Sirena cheap shots her and turns heel. Just before the match, Bubba Ray tells both women to make everything they do matter and to have fun and have a great match.

Before the next match, Carlee Bright reintroduces herself to the Performance Center crowd. She talks about her injury and how she is happy to be in front of the crowd before Sirena Linton cheap shots her from behind yells "It's my first match back, too...bitch!"

Carlee Bright beats Sirena Linton. After the match, Carlee says the promo went well, as did the cheap shot. Sirena says that she had fun and put her heart into it as she wanted people to boo her. Bubba Ray says that Carlee could have taken a little more time on the promo and enjoyed it, but otherwise, the match went well. Coach Matt Bloom loves the promo as well as the cheap shot, and mentions that Carlee was selling well until the finish and that they need to tell the story completely.

Nattie meets with Chris Island and Shady Elnahas and finds them both easy to work with. Nattie says the coaches want to feel something emotionally in their match and want to see a story where one person can really be a babyface and the other can really be a heel. Nattie gets hands-on with putting the match together, much to the delight of both Island and Shady. Nattie mentions that the three things that never go out of style are intensity, aggression and selling.

Shady Elnahas beats Chris Island with a jackknife pin. After the match, Nattie is pleased with the match (as was Bully Ray, who said that they were doing well during the match). It is mentioned that Chris Island almost did not get back in the ring in time. Coach Matt Bloom says the match was a bit clunky, then says that simple done well is better than complex done decently. He also mentions that the match became a bit dangerous at times, and says that Shawn Michaels is looking for action, which is not constant motion. Chris Island says they could have slowed the match down a little bit, and felt that he did not do that. Bloom also wants to sell residually a little more, especially when he is performing a submission hold, and that they need to make a submission hold like an ankle lock look like it hurts.

Kevin Owens meets with Masyn Holiday and Nikkita Lyons. Masyn mentions that this is not just her first main event in LFG, but also her first match as a heel, and that she does not want to do the stuff that she is familiar with. Owens notices that Nikkita is good as what she does and can get the desired audience response, and also gives Masyn pointers on how to be more heelish.

Nikkita Lyons beats Masyn Holiday. After the match, Shawn Michaels and Coach Matt Bloom are happy with the match. Kevin Owens compliments Masyn Holiday on looking annoyed and aggravated during Nikkita's entrance, which he says few heels do. He also says that the selling was really good. Masyn Holiday definitely feels ready. Kevin Owens tells Nikkita Lyons that she has been chosen for WWE World on WrestleMania weekend.
