Championship Gold - Memphis Wrestling recap for February 19, 2022

Dustin Starr interviews The Skimahorns (Brad and Briar Skimahorn) and Uncle Mikey at the announce table. Mikey says he can feel the fans' energy running through him, and that he is absolutely ready for the next match with The Skimahorns and the fans on his side. He also says that he is not only ready to win the big one, so are The Skimahorns, but only if they listen to the fans. The Skimahorns guest on commentary for the next match.



Uncle Mikey beats Kid Wrestling. After the match, K-Toomer gets in the ring. During the commercial break, K-Toomer attacks Uncle Mikey. The Skimahorns (Brad and Briar Skimahorn) head to the ring, but K-Toomer swats Brad Skimahorn off the apron. K-Toomer then grabs Kid Wrestling and slams him.



Dustin Starr interviews K-Toomer at the announce table. K-Toomer says it's everybody, not just Uncle Mikey, and "if he dies, he dies."



Diana Taylor gets ready for another shot at the Memphis Women's Championship.



Dustin Starr interviews "The Killer Bae" Heather Monroe at the announce desk. As Dustin Starr interviews Heather, "The Mad Esthetician" Amber Rodriguez shows up and says that she and Heather have a common enemy in Skyler after what she has done to both of them, then produces a needle with 2cc of Lypocaine and says they should get to work. Heather tells Amber that they should have a chat in the back.



Backstage, Carter Matthews tries to make some extra money at the merch table, while Chris Hayes makes some extra money at the Tops Bar-B-Q stand.



Before the next match, Martin sends Jay Smooth and Kross to the back, saying he can take care of Mike Anthony on his own.

Mike Anthony beats Martin with a sleeper to advance to the finals of the Cobra Cup Tournament. After the match, Anthony says "Two down, one to go" in the spare headset at the announce desk.



We hear from The Elements of Wrestling ("Casanova" Colton Cage, Ryan Pyles, Van Viciouss). Pyles says that there is no chance of them not winning the Memphis Trios Championships, and says that while DJ Brown, Danny B. Good and Derrick have worked hard to defend the titles, they have never had to work hard as they were born with greatness. He says there is nothing better than taking from someone who worked hard for something, and while they have had everything handed to them on a silver platter, they have earned this. Suddenly, "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock shows up and says they look great and that he has seen them in action, and that they should talk after their match.



Dustin Starr interviews The Yung GOATs (Aaron Roberts and Zay Washington) at the announce desk in their return to the WrestleCenter. Dustin Starr apologizes for not allowing them into the WrestleCenter, as this blew up in their faces when The Posse (Simon and Lil Chris) went on a path of destruction last week. He says that the deal with The Posse expires at the anniversary show and that their contracts will not be renewed following their actions and that they will be suspended until the annniversary. Roberts says that does not work for The Yung GOATs, and Washington says he and Roberts want the Posse and that the fans wants to see them fight The Posse, as they want the Memphis Tag Team Championships back.



David Ali beats Carlos Alexander Rios.



It is announced that Jonathan Gresham will face Nick Aldis at the Super Bout anniversary spectacular, and that Mickie James will also be at the event.



We hear from Danny B. Good, Derrick King and DJ Brown. Danny says the Memphis Trios Championships are on the line and that they are coming after The Elements of Wrestling ("Casanova" Colton Cage, Ryan Pyles, Van Viciouss) hard and fast. Meanwhile, Derrick King has lost focus thanks to Tiger Joe.

The Elements of Wrestling ("Casanova" Colton Cage, Ryan Pyles, Van Viciouss) beat Danny B. Good, Derrick King and DJ Brown to become the Memphis Trios Champions! During the match, Tiger Joe shows up and insults Derrick King as he tells him he told him he would return. He continues to distract , and Van Vicious pins Derrick King with a schoolkid pin to win the Elements of Wrestling the Trios Championships. After the match, Derrick King grabs Tiger Joe, who escapes from King's grasp as Rhino gets in the ring and hits Derrick King with the Gore.



After the match, Derrick King is checked on in the middle of the ring after Danny B. Good calls for medical help. Derrick King is soon helped to the back.

Backstage, Kevin Patrick interviews Natalya, who says that she has a bone to pick with Rhea Ripley for calling herself "The Iron Woman of WWE," which she says is a distinction that belongs to her. Tonight, Liv Morgan will punch her ticket to WrestleMania and hopefully become as good as she is and become a Triple Crown Champion.

Rey Mysterio beats The Miz despite Miz's attempt at using a chair and Dominik getting ejected for supposedly hitting Miz with a chair despite trying to take the chair away from him. After the match, Miz attacks Rey from behind, but Dominik gets back in the ring to make the save and he and Rey hit Miz with a double 619, with Rey and Dominik hitting Eddie Guerrero's top rope frog splash at the end.



Roman Reigns retains the WWE Universal Championship against Goldberg after countering a Jackhammer into a guillotine choke.



Bianca Belair beats Nikki A.S.H., Doudrop, Liv Morgan, Rhea Ripley and Alexa Bliss in the women's Elimination Chamber match for a shot at the WWE Raw Women's Championship at WrestleMania 38.





We see WWE Superstars spends some time with Special Olympians in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.



"Rowdy" Ronda Rousey and Naomi beat Charlotte Flair and Sonya Deville after Ronda puts Sonya in an armbar and Charlotte does nothing to save Sonya after Ronda threatens to break Deville's arm. During the match, "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey has to compete with one arm tied behind her back, and when the match begins, Sonya Deville removes her cast to remove that her left arm is healed.



WrestleMania 38 is 42 days away!

Drew McIntyre beats Madcap Moss in a Falls Count Anywhere after McIntyre swings his sword Angela at Happy Corbin before hitting Moss with a Claymore while the sword is still in his hand.



Backstage, Kevin Patrick interviews The Miz, who says Rey cheated his way to victory with help from Dominik and that everyone cheered. He says that he will find a tag team partner who is just as good as he is, and he has an idea of who to call.



Becky Lynch retains the WWE Raw Women's Championship against Lita with the Manhandle Slam as Lita gets her off the mat following the top rope moonsault. After the match, Lita gets a standing ovation.



The Viking Raiders (Ivar and Erik) vs. The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships ends before it can even start when The Usos lay out The Viking Raiders before the match can even begin.



Brock Lesnar beats Bobby Lashley, Seth "Freakin'" Rollins, Matt Riddle, "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles and Austin Theory in the men's Elimination Chamber Match to win the WWE Championship for the seventh time. During the match, Seth Rollins puts Austin Theory through Bobby Lashley's pod with a powerbomb, and it hurts Lashley enough for officials to check on him before helping out of the Chamber. It is later announced that Lashley will not be able to return and compete in the match due to WWE concussion protocol when his pod opens, guaranteeing a new WWE Champion in the process. When Lashley's pod opens, Lashley breaks out of his own pod and eliminates everyone. Theory is eliminated last following an F-5 off the top of a pod.

THE NXT LVL - NXT LVL UP recap for February 18, 2022

Before the next match, Joe Gacy says he told everyone that he is an agent of change and welcomes everyone to NXT LVL UP, where everyone will be included and anyone who wants to make a name for themselves is welcome. He says that the ring will be used to settle any conflict, and that it is an honor that Harland will be the first to be in that ring and face his opponent for tonight, Javier Bernal.

Harland beats Javier Bernal.



Ivy Nile and Tatum Paxley beat Fallon Henley and Kayla Inlay with a modified Dragon Sleeper from Ivy Nile to Kayla Inlay.



Edris Enofe beats KUSHIDA with a top rope Shooting Star Press. Both sides show respect after the match.



Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for February 18, 2022

WWE official Adam Pearce is in the ring to moderate a contract signing for Charlotte Flair and Sonya Deville vs. Naomi and "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey at Elimination Chamber. Charlotte and Sonya show up first, followed by Naomi and Rousey. Sonya says the rules for a contract signing should be explained to Naomi and Ronda as they can never follow rules. After Charlotte says that she has beaten Naomi and that she can beat Ronda, Ronda tells her and Sonya to sign the contract. Charlotte and Sonya sign. Sonya tells Naomi and Ronda this is their last time to back out, but Naomi tells her to stop stalling before she flips the table. Charlotte says that Sonya has a stipulation, and that in the contract, Ronda must wrestle with one hand tied behind her back. Ronda signs the contract along with Naomi, then says that she can tap dance on Sonya's forehead with no hands and that she has two hands tonight before slamming Charlotte's head into the table and flipping it on Charlotte and Sonya with Naomi's help.



Backstage, Sheamus talks to Ridge Holland about Ricochet, saying he has never had a problem with Ricochet, but is annoyed that Ricochet got the better of Ridge. He tells Ridge to watch what he does to Ricochet when he takes his head off.

Ricochet beats Sheamus after Ridge Holland's distraction backfires when Sheamus nearly Brogue Kicks him off the apron and Ricochet hits Sheamus with the Recoil. After the match, Sheamus shoves Ridge Holland.



Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews Sami Zayn. Sami Zayn says he had nothing to do with what happened to Rick Boogs last week, and that nobody has cared about anything that has happened to him in the last year, especially when he lost the Intercontinental Championship. He says he has been kept away from the title and that everything else he has tried to do has been sabotaged, but none of that matters because tonight is the best night of his life and he will regain the Intercontinental Championship.

It is announced that The Undertaker will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2022.

We see a video package for Goldberg vs. Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship at Elimination Chamber.



Ivar beats Jey Uso by disqualification when Jimmy Uso breaks up a pinfall with one of The Viking Raiders' (Ivar and Erik) helmets. After the match, Erik fends off Jimmy Uso, then Ivar and Erik get their helmets back.



Drew McIntyre heads to the ring. McIntyre says he has lived in and travelled to cool places in his career and talks about how he was in town when the New Orleans Saints won the Super Bowl, then he looks back on his career nearly ending at Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss' hands at Day 1. He thinks back to that moment and to past WrestleManias, then says that it is anything goes at Elimination Chamber and that he can beat Madcap Moss anywhere, then starts the hashtag "#MadcapMauling" for fan ideas on how to beat up Madcap Moss. Suddenly, Corbin and Moss show up. Corbin says he has to put a stop to this, and asks McIntyre to listen to himself, as he is starting a hashtag to bully his friend, put his hand on a stove and drown him in the Red Sea. Moss tells McIntyre to pack a good neck pillow, as he is less than 100%, and says he is good at using his environment and that he and Corbin will laugh all the way home. Moss then says that McIntyre's neck goes "snap, crackle, pop" like a famous breakfast cereal, then McIntyre says that this is sad as Moss has all the talent in the world yet aligns himself with Corbin and made the mistake of trying to end his career. McIntyre then says that Elimination Chamber will be "the night the laughter died."



Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews Shinsuke Nakamura, who says that he plans on kicking Sami Zayn in the face and that Sami is "In-Zayn" if he thinks he can beat him for the Intercontinental Championship.

Sami Zayn beats Shinsuke Nakamura after weaking Nakamura's left leg to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship for a third time.



Backstage, Aliyah talks with Ricochet about Ricochet's win. Aliyah is amazed, and Ricochet says that Sheamus has been trying to make his life miserable and that Sheamus' past could be his future. Ricochet leaves, then Sami Zayn shows up and asks Aliyah if she is accustomed to big wins because he is now WWE Intercontinental Championship.

We see a video package for the men's Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Championship match at Elimination Chamber.

Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman head to the ring. Heyman says that being near Roman is "spiritually orgasmic" and is like being near Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky or Drew Brees or Tom Brady in their prime. After the fans boo Heyman for mentioning Drew Brees and Tom Brady, Heyman puts Roman on a pedestal, then Goldberg shows up. Roman and Goldberg stare each other down, then Roman says that he runs things around here and that Goldberg is here to either fight or talk. Goldberg apologizes to Roman and says he was wrong, saying that he is not next and then when it comes to the Universal Championship, he is next.

Adam Cole beats Preston "10" Vance with a low blow as he has referee Aubrey Edwards trapped in the corner while escaping the full nelson, which allows him to lower The Boom for the win.



Powerhouse Hobbs beats Dante Martin to qualify for the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match.



Backstage, Tony Schiavone interviews Jade Cargill and "Smart" Mark Sterling. Matt Hardy and The Bunny shows up and says he loves what Cargill and Sterling are doing, then says Cargill vs. The Bunny is "a money match." After Sterling calls The Bunny "the rabbit lady," he asks where he and Cargill sign on the contract before they win. Matt Hardy says the two of them will be extremely disappointed.

Serena Deeb beats Angelica Risk in a Professor's Five-Minute Challenge with the Serenity Lock.



Mark Henry interviews Jay White and Trent Barretta. Jay White says he attacked Barretta because he can do what he wants where he wants, and that everyone is talking about him. He says that Trent Barretta, Best Friends and CHAOS are familiar with him, and that he is destroying Barretta in good faith to Adam Cole and The Elite. Barretta says he will slam the Forbidden Door in Jay White "knife pervert" face.

Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for February 17, 2022



Eddie Edwards beats Big Kon in the BTI match after hitting the Boston Knee Party twice.
Scott D'Amore oversees a contract signing for the Impact World Championship match at No Surrender. Moose heads to the ring, then says that W. Morrissey will not even show up for No Surrender, much less sign the contract, after what he did to him last week. D'Amore says that Morrissey, has two days left to sign the contract, and that while Morrisey is not here, he will give him every opportunity to sign it. Moose says that W. Morrissey will not step in the ring with him due to who he is and what he is capable of. He also says that D'Amore has sent one person home and that he does not want to send another person home due to how he will injure him. D'Amore gives Moose credit for not lacking confidence, and asks him to sign the contract so they can be on their way. Moose says he will go ahead and sign the contract, then tells D'Amore to prepare to send another talent home before signing the contract. Suddenly, W. Morrissey shows up as Moose makes his way out and hits Moose with a big boot, then launches him to the side of the stage. Morrisey readies the BQE, but Moose fights back. Morrissey soon choke slams Moose through a table. Morrissey then signs the contract before dropping it on Moose.



Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Bullet Club ("Switchblade" Jay White, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, Chris Bey). Chris Bey says that Bullet Club is one step closer to bringing gold home and that he will win the X Division Championship at No Surrender, and Tanga Loa says he and Tama Tonga will win the Impact World tag team titles. Tama Tonga says that The Good Brothers' running days are over, and Jay White says that he will step into the ring with Eric Young, whom he calls a Bullet Club wannabe, then says that they will give Violent By Design a taste of what they are about.

Masha Slamovich quickly beats Kiah Dream.

"Inevitable" Ace Austin beats Blake Christian and Laredo Kid to become part of the X Division Championship match at No Surrender.



We hear from Decay (Rosemary, Crazzy Steve, Black Taurus). Rosemary says humans find it appropriate to call themselves monsters when they are here in the shadows, and Crazzy Steve says his skirmish with JONAH was "research" and just the beginning. Rosemary asks JONAH how it will feel when he gets in the ring with Black Taurus at No Surrender and finds out what it is like to be a real monster.

Backstage, Kaleb with a K is met by The Iinspiration (Jessica McKay and Cassie Lee), who thank him for the photos from last week and tell him that he is the best they ever had. They also say that The Influence (Tennille Dashwood and Madison Rayne) take him for granted and to call them if he wants to feel appreciated. Kaleb says he is a very loyal person, but The IInspiration says they know, as it is the one thing they like most about him.

"The Quintessential Diva" Gisele Shaw beats Lady Frost.



Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Honor No More. Matt Taven tells Gia Miller to become a detective to find out what happened to Jonathan Gresham, and Kenny King says that Team Impact will be the ones to lay down and that he will make Chris Sabin bend the knee tonight.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Deonna Purrazzo, who says that there will be more open challenges. She says that while Mickie James talks about being a champion, she is "the champ champ," and that there will be on at No Surrender for anyone who wants to step up against "the champ champ."

Chris Sabin beats Kenny King after bringing Kenny King's shoulders to the mat after blocking the Royal Flush. After the match, Maria Kanellis-Bennett congratulates Team Impact (Eddie Edwards, Rich Swann, Chris Sabin, Rhino) for their one-on-one win, then says Honor No More are walking into No Surrender as a cohesive unit and asks if Team Impact can do the same. She then says they did not attack Jonathan Gresham and implies Steve Maclin - who is not there - did it, then tells Team Impact to get their house in order.



Backstage, Steve Maclin shows up as the rest of Team Impact (Eddie Edwards, Rich Swann, Chris Sabin, Rhino) talk with each other. He says that Maria Kanellis-Bennett is stirring the pot, but Eddie does not entirely trust him. Maclin says they must stand as a united front, or they can find another partner. Chris Sabin, Rich Swann and Rhino say they are in, and Eddie soon joins them.

Tasha Steelz and Savannah Evans beat Chelsea Green and Mickie James.



Backstage, Brian Myers meet with VSK and Zicky Dice, saying that last week was an epic embarrassment and that he has had to pick tacks off his body for a week now. He says it was a stupid idea to bring tables into the match, then says Zicky Dice and VSK are two of the worst students he has ever had. Brian Myers then says The Learning Tree is done and that they are cut.

Bullet Club ("Switchblade" Jay White, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa) beat Violent By Design (Eric Young, Joe Doering, Rhino) in a six-man tag match. After the match, The Good Brothers shows up to stare down Bullet Club from across the ramp to end the show.
