He is not angry about The 1-2-3 Kid and Bob "Spark Plug" Holly beating him and Tatanka that night, saying "every dog has his day." It comes to light that he took exception to Lawrence "L.T." Taylor laughing at him due to the fact that L.T. is a retired professional athlete, and took offense to L.T. offering to shake his hand after laughing at him as Bam Bam Bigelow took it as an attack on his dignity. Backlund gets back into the ring ready to put Lawler in it again, but Lawler tricks Backlund by saying that Bret "The Hit Man" Hart is approaching the ring. He isn't, of course, but it distracts Backlund just the same and just enough to allow Lawler his escape.

I.R.S. then says that he's not afraid of 'Taker's friends at all, as 'Taker has plenty of enemies and he has plenty of friends, and that one of his friends may be one of 'Taker's business enemies.
