Raw Deal - Raw recap for June 2, 2025

Michael Cole takes off his dress shirt and reveals an Indiana Pacers jersey to fulfill a bet made on commentary by Pat McAfee regarding the NBA Eastern Conference Finals two weeks ago.

CM Punk heads to the ring to start tonight's show. He mentions then Oklahoma City Thunder's progress in the NBA playoffs, then mentions that it is "Money in the Bank time" and that he looks forward to becoming a three-time Money in the Bank briefcase winner. Punk says it is time to put championship gold around his waist, then mentions "Main Event" Jey Uso, John Cena and the world championship scene. He tells Jey Uso that it is just business if he picks him, but he also warns Cena that he has his number and he will pick the bones. He then proclaims that it is time that he became a champion one more time, then says he will see everyone again once he qualifies. Sami Zayn then shows up before Punk can leave. Sami addresses Punk's plans to become a world champion and mentions that he has his own world title ambitions, and while Money in the Bank is not in the cards for him, it is for Punk. He tells Punk that he must win tonight and that tonight is more "must win" than it has ever been, and that he must be focused on the match, as they will deal with Seth "Freakin'" Rollins and his faction when they get to them. Sami states that he knows that Punk and Rollins think about each other, and if Rollins wins the briefcase, "it is over," and Raw will turn into something that he does not like. Sami tells Punk that he and the fans all want him to win tonight. Sami then tells Punk that as much as he wants him to win, they will be face-to-face in the ring again if Punk becomes a world champion, and they will have a different conversation than the one they are having right now. Punk tells Sami that he looks forward to that conversation, then both men shake hands.

Roxanne Perez meets with Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez and offers to help them, but Liv tells Roxanne that if she wants to help, then she should stay out of her way. Liv then walks away and runs into Iyo Sky, and tells her that she will win the Money in the Bank Briefcase and become Women's World Champion again.

We see a vignette for Stephanie Vaquer.

Stephanie Vaquer beats Ivy Nile and Liv Morgan in a women's Money in the Bank qualifier.

Backstage, "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles is met by Paul Heyman, who wants to shake hands his Styles. Heyman wishes Styles a happy birthday and gifts him something "of intrinsic value." He says that the Intercontinental Championship needs "a phenomenal champion," and tells Styles to concentrate on "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio and leave Money in the Bank to Seth "Freakin'" Rollins. Styles asks Heyman if he is tired of "chasing that meal ticket" and tells him that he does not respond well to threats, and if Heyman tries to push him out, he will push back. Styles tells Heyman to tell Rollins that he knows all about his plan, and that everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.

Backstage, we hear from Rusev. He says that he is doing the good work by preventing the weak from slipping into the abyss, then says that Sheamus burned him in the past when they were in The League of Nations. He says he is not the same man and that he was once like him with a body of granite and a neck of sand. He states that after all they have been through, he will be happy to send him off the field as the warrior that he has been. He says that Sheamus stabbed him in the back, and if Sheamus does not stay out of his way, he will stab his.

Backstage, Sheamus talks with Alpha Academy (Akira Tozawa and Maxxine Dupri) and Natalya, saying that they have heart as well as great potential. Suddenly, Cathy Kelley interviews Sheamus after they leave, and Sheamus mentions his friendship with Rusev and says Rusev's bad decisions caused his career to implode while he has put on banger after banger. He says that someone must teach Rusev manners before he goes to far, and that someone is him. Sheamus then warns Rusev that he bullies bullies.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) guests on commentary for the next match. They get ejected from ringside later when Ivar teases throwing JD McDonagh into them, as they both go after The War Raiders (Ivar and Erik) only for referee Jessica Car to toss them out.

The Judgment Day (Finn Balor and JD McDonagh) beat The War Raiders (Ivar and Erik) after Roxanne Perez shows up and distracts Ivar as he goes for the Doomsault, allowing McDonagh to send Ivar beard-first into the ring post so that Finn Balor can hit the Coup de Grace for the win.

We hear from Becky Lynch, who says that Lyra Valkyria has cost her a championship and a Money in the Bank Ladder match. She says that Lyra has forgotten everything she has done for her and that she has greatness because of her. She then says that Lyra Valkyria is in a lose-lose situation, because if Lyra wins at Money in the Bank, she will lose the best thing that has ever happened to her. But if she loses, she will have to shake the very hand that will hold her down.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Stephanie Vaquer, who is soon met by Rhea Ripley. Ripley and Vaquer shake hands, and Rhea says she will see her at Money in the Bank.

Lyra Valkyria heads to the ring. Lyra tells Becky Lynch to stop being a coward and come to the ring so she can say what she has to say to her face. Becky shows up, and when she tries to speak, Lyra shuts her up and tells her she has said her piece and that she is delusional. She says that Becky was a good person on the way to the top and that she maintained her place by stopping being a good person, and that since Becky started ruining her life, she has changed into an angrier person and unlocked a side capable of destroying Becky. Becky says that Lyra has a poisoned perspective and is looking for any excuse to hurt her. She says she wanted to make Lyra better, not hurt her, but things has changed and that it will hurt Lyra to raise her hand. Lyra says Becky is saying more big words and tells her to face her in the ring, but Becky says she does not fight in Tulsa, Oklahoma and leaves. Lyra chases Becky to the stage, and referees show up to break up the resulting brawl.

We hear from Penta, who says that he looks forward to Money in the Bank and that nobody is hungrier than he is. He says that the Ladder Match is his kingdom, that Los Angeles is his city and that the Money in the Bank Briefcase is his destiny.

"Main Event" Jey Uso and Sami Zayn beat Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed by disqualification after Seth "Freakin'" Rollins shows up and hits Jey Uso with The Stomp at the bottom of the ramp. After the match, Bronson Reed goes for a top rope splash through the commentary table on Sami Zayn, but CM Punk shows up with a metal folding chair and takes out Bronson and Breakker. Punk sends Rollins into a retreat following a brief staredown, and Breakker and Bronson soon join Rollins. Jey, Punk and Sami then stare the three of them down from the ring.

Backstage, Liv Morgan speaks with Finn Balor regarding Roxanne Perez and says she knows where he is going with this, but Finn says Roxanne got him and JD McDonagh back on track and that there is no plan to cause any strife within The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez). He admits she came on strong, but he trusts "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio. Liv says it is not Dominik that she does not trust, but Finn says she will trust Roxanne in time. Liv and Raquel leave, and when Dominik tries to apologize for last week, Finn says it is water under the bridge.

Kairi Sane beats Raquel Rodriguez after Iyo Sky shows up when Liv Morgan tries to get involved in the match. Raquel grabs at Iyo Sky's hair, but Kairi boots Raquel's head into the ring post and hits the In-Sane Elbow for the win.

Backstage, Karrion Kross talks with Sami Zayn, but Sami gets ticked and wants to know what Kross wants with him. Kross says he thinks Sami is a liar. He says Sami could have been a world champion ten times over, then tells him he is a bad guy "like the rest of us" and not a good guy like he thinks he is. Sami doubts this, and Kross says he might be wrong, but he might also be right.

Backstage, "Main Event" Jey Uso is met by Gunther. Gunther says that the World Heavyweight Championship is personal to him and that Jey has tried to be a great champion, but says that Jey thinks with his heart instead of his head and that he will take his title. He says that Jey is a great guy who is there for his friends, but the problems of others should not be the business of the World Heavyweight Champion. Gunther thanks Jey, because he knew when he lost the title that Jey would not be worthy of it, and that Gunther is making it very easy for him, and that the party will soon be over next week. Jey tells Gunther he will see him next week.

El Grande Americano beats "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles and CM Punk to qualify for the men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match. During the match, Punk goes for a pinfall attempt after hitting El Grande Americano with a GTS, but is pulled out of the ring by Bron Breakker. Punk is soon attacked by Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, then "Main Event" Jey Uso and Sami Zayn show up to fight Breakker and Bronson. Sami inadvertently shoves Bronson into Styles as he goes for a Phenomenal Forearm on El Grande Americano, so Styles turns around hits everyone outside of the ring with a Phenomenal Forearm instead. Styles then goes for a Phenomenal Forearm on El Grande Americano, but at this point, El Grande Americano has loaded his mask, and he headbutts Styles out of the air to get the pin and the win to qualify for the men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match. After the match, Punk fights Breakker, but Seth "Freakin'" Rollins shows up and fights Punk. Punk goes for a GTS on Rollins, but gets Speared by Breakker. Sami goes after Breakker, but gets overpowered by Bronson. Sami goes down, and Rollins hits both him and Punk with The Stomp. Jey Uso and Sami Zayn try to make the save, but they are also overpowered and given The Stomp by Rollins, then Jey Uso receives two Tsunamis from Bronson Reed to end the show.
