Kali Armstrong heads to the ring to start tonight's show. She says that she has been in WWE for a year and a half and that it only gets harder from here, but that is fine with her, because she is ducking no one in the locker room and that when she gets to NXT, they will know who the difference maker is. She then states that she is at the top of the women's division and wants to know who her first competitor is. Zayda Steel shows up and congratulates Kali Armstrong, then says that they are both history makers and that Kali is lucky. Nikkita Lyons shows up and also congratulates Kali, then states that she is here now that there is a women's champion, and while she has respect for Zayda, she is not afraid to pounce first when it comes to gold. Kali says Zayda and Nikkita are doing a lot of talking, but have not proven what they want this title. Zayda and Nikkita beat up Kali, then Natalya runs into the ring and makes the save. Natalya tries to get Zayda in the Sharpshooter, but Nikkita pulls Zayda out of the ring. When Natalya helps Kali up, Kali snatches the Evolve Women's Championship away from her.
Backstage, it is revealed that Carlee Bright has been attacked and that her left shoulder is hurt.
In the trainer's room, Carlee Bright is being checked on. Prime Minister Stevie Turner states that nothing like this should be happening in Evolve. Carlee Bright says that whoever attacked was wearing a black hoodie. Upon finding out that she has no serious injuries, she chooses to compete tonight.
Backstage, we hear from Keanu Carver. He says that his opponents want the prestige, glory and fame, but the men's Evolve Championship is his ticket out. He says that he is not going back to the streets after everything he has done to get here, and that he will beat the brakes out of all of his opponents. We hear from "Super" Sean Legacy, who says that he has waited eight long years for this moment. Timothy Thatcher tells him that he is ready, and Legacy says it is time to create his legacy.
Jin Tala beats Carlee Bright by submission with the Bakunawa Bind.
In backstage footage from last week, Wendy Choo attacks Kylie Rae from behind. Backstage, Chuey Martinez talks with Kylie Rae, who says that Wendy Choo has stuck her nose in her business week after week, and while Wendy has beaten her twice, she thought it was over after the Fatal 4-Way. She also admits that Wendy is the only person who makes her "not so smiley." As Kylie Rae says that is ready to deal with Wendy, Chantel Monroe tells her to call it quits, then leaves. Masyn Holiday and Layla Diggs apologize for Chantel's behavior, with Maysn hoping that Chantel's mirror will show a reflection of the Chantel they really know.
Backstage, The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor, "The Smoke Show" Ricky Smokes, Zayda Steel, Bryce Donovan) make fun of Lince Dorado wearing a mask, then tell Jackson Drake that they believe in Jackson Drake tonight. Jackson Drake says he knows he is a champion ever since he first stepped in a ring at thirteen years old and never looked back, and that everybody will soon know him as the Evolve Champion.
Backstage, Edris Enofé says he came back from a gruesome shoulder injury and that being unable to compete in the ring hurt worse. He says things will be different now, because tonight, he will go from being a tag team wrestler to a singles superstar when he becomes the first Evolve Champion.
The High Ryze (Wes Lee, Tyson Dupont, Tyriek Igwe) head to the ring. Wes Lee admits that nobody expected to see him in Evolve, especially with Tyson and Tyriek dominating, and last week, he showed up wanting to get a better understanding of what Evolve is all about. He says that he can see it when he talks to everyone in the locker room that everyone has big dreams and lots of potential as they hope to become the next big thing, then laughs because he was the same way until he made the business the best it could and changed the world. He says the locker room is naive and borderline delusional to think they will take his spot, as he has busted his ass and broken his back for this business and has not scratched the surface yet. Wes Lee lists his accolades in NXT, then says he is not done yet, and tells the Evolve locker room that he is the gatekeeper now and that they will have to go through him to get to NXT. Cappuccino Jones and Jack Cartwheel show up, and Cappuccino states that Tyriek and Tyson Dupont are impressive and that their mentorship is paying off. Wes Lee thinks Cappuccino wants a tag team rematch, but Cappuccino wants a match with Wes Lee. He says that whatever Wes Lee has been sipping on lately has been "kind of bitter," but Wes Lee says he has been around the block long enough to know better. He says he is not some "happy to be here kid" walking around with a coffee cup, but Cappuccino says he wants to see how he measure up and that he knows he has what it takes to get to NXT, and to get there, he must battle one of its stapes. Wes Lee warns Cappuccino that he should have stayed behind the counter, then accepts his challenge.
Backstage, Je'Von Evans says he had to check out Evolve, especially when he is rewarding the Evolve Championship to the winner of tonight's Fatal 4-Way Match. As he looks around, he sees Jordan Oasis, and tells him he is a fan of his work and that his time is coming.
We hear from Marcus Mathers, who introduces himself to the fans. He says that he has been wrestling for six years with over 650 matches under his belt, and that he is not just Philadelphia's finest, but the finest in WWE ID. He says that nobody has used WWE ID like he has and that he has been able to travel more, get more matches and train with the best of the best. He then says that he is bringing all that knowledge right here, right now, as WWE ID has prepared him for Evolve.
Jackson Drake beats Edris Enofé, Keanu Carver and "Super" Sean Legacy in a Fatal 4-Way Elimination Match to become the inaugural Evolve Champion! It takes both Jackson Drake and Sean Legacy to eliminate Keanu Carver. After the match, Je'Von Evans awards Jackson Drake with the Evolve Championship, and Drake takes the title and hugs Je'Von before celebrating with the rest of The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor, "The Smoke Show" Ricky Smokes, Zayda Steel, Bryce Donovan) to end the show.
