Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for March 29, 2025

CJ Money and Momma Money suddenly show up at the announce desk. Momma Money says CJ Money has all the potential in the world and is the best wrestler in Memphis Wrestling, yet there are influences in his ear, and she knows that he has been hanging around CJ Blaine, who she says is "second rate" and will never be CJ Money. He then demands that CJ Money bring CJ Blaine to the announce desk. CJ Money does as asked, and Momma Money tells CJ Blaine that he is second rate while CJ Money is "top tier." CJ Blaine says that he and CJ Money were a t ag team, but now, CJ Money is "a mama's boy." Momma Money tells CJ Money that if he loves her like he says he does, he will challenge CJ Blaine right now and prove that he is "the better CJ." Once again, CJ Money does as asked and challenges CJ Blaine, and CJ Blaine accepts the challenge.

In footage from before the show, James Ellsworth shows up with Shazza McKenzie and says that he has done things for women's wrestling and that he will take McKenzie to the top.

"Main Event" Bradley beats The Shocker after knocking The Shocker off the top rope with a low blow that the referee does not see.

Backstage, Cappuccino Jones is met by "The Gift" Ray Sanders. Cappuccino Jones congratulates Sanders on his recent win, and Sanders notes that Cappuccino nearly beat Roberts. Cappuccino says that it is "on sight" with Aaron Roberts and that he will beat him next time.

Allister vs. James Curtis ends as soon as it can begin. At the start of the match, "The Problem" Aaron Roberts and Justin Case are seen heading towards the ring, and Roberts gets in the ring and clotheslines both men. Roberts goes on the attack and lays both men out, hitting them both with a Problem Bomb. As he goes for a powerbomb on Allister, Cappuccino Jones gets in the ring and drop kicks Roberts out of the ring. Roberts tells Cappuccino that he picked a bad day to mess with him, and challenges him to a match next week. He then tells Justin Case that he wants Cappuccino Jones alone and that he wants him to hang back, then says it is over for Cappuccino Jones. Afterwards, Dustin Starr interviews Cappuccino Jones at the announce desk. He says Roberts is the one with the problem and that he will get the caffeine, and that the caffeine always comes with a crash.

Backstage, The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamont) confront Matchmaker King Cobra for putting him in a ladder match, with the both of them being afraid of heights and Lamont getting nosebleeds. King Cobra tells both of them that falling off the ladder is "like taking a big back drop" and tells Lamont to hold his nose while climbing the ladder, which Lamont is not exactly elated to hear. He also tells The L.A. Hustlers to close their eyes while climbing the ladder.

CJ Blaine beats CJ Money after Momma Money accidentally trips CJ Money. After the match, Momma Money takes off her belt to whip CJ Money, and when CJ Blaine tries to stop her, CJ Money attacks CJ Blaine from behind, and he and Momma Money give CJ Blaine a beatdown. CJ Money and Momma Money then celebrate in the ring, revealing that the trip was all part of a plan.

Backstage, Marko Harris talks with Derrick King, saying that he beat Tim Bosby in less than three minutes and still feels undeserving of something. Derrick King says Marko will have to talk with King Cobra regarding that, then tells him to keep looking forward and that he has only one chance at this.

Dustin Starr interviews James Ellsworth at the announce desk. The fans are not happy to see him and tell him to shut up as Ellsworth announces that there will be a mixed tag team match soon and brings out his partner, Shazza McKenzie. McKenzie says Ellsworth will take her to the top, and Ellsworth says that his reputation speaks for itself before declaring they will take care of business and prove who "the television legend" and the next upcoming star in women's wrestling is. McKenzie says she is already a winner, but as a winner, she needs another winner, and declares that Ellsworth is "an incredible mentor" for women's wrestling. Ellsworth says McKenzie is the only person in the building with any sort of intelligence and that he will take her to the top.

"The GunShow" Brett Michaels retains the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship against "The Chosen One" Jay Washington. Washington gets his foot on the rope, but GunShow has the foresight to pull it off the ropes towards him. After the match, Washington pulls GunShow out of the corner and decks him with a chain wrapped around his right fist before standing over him with the Heritage Championship.
