Collision Course - Collision recap for March 8, 2025

The Opps (Samoa Joe, Hook, "The Wrestler" Katsuyori Shibata) beat Jack Banning, Starboy Charlie and Titus Alexander in a trios match.

Backstage, we hear from Adam Copeland, who says that Jon Moxley's manhood is threatened and that Moxley is afraid of losing the AEW World Championship so that nobody has to listen to his "word salad diatribes." He says it will not be long before Moxley is exposed as a false martyr and a spin doctor instead of the messiah that he claims to be. Copeland then demands the Moxley that set AEW on fire when he showed up, as that Moxley was not afraid to go toe to toe with him and get in the trenches and is not afraid to suffer, because Moxley will suffer. He says that he has been in hundreds of world title matches and that time is running out, and that this could be his last chance and he has to make this count. He says that he must do this.

Mercedes Moné guests on commentary for the next match.

Momo Watanabe beats Serena Deeb. After the match, Mercedes Moné has a staredown with Momo and shoves the TBS Championship in her face. Momo responds with a hook kick followed by a top rope meteora before holding up the TBS Championship.

We hear from Will Ospreay, who says that the pain that he feels physically is nothing compared to the pain he feels mentally and that he feels lost, confused and anxious in addition to physically and emotionally spent. He hopes that there is some part of the man he knew still in "The Protostar" Kyle Fletcher from when United Empire took over Japan and only cared about each other. Ospreay says they are now standing in opposite corner in a steel cage and he is coming in like a wounded animal who has no choice but to fight his brother, and for every knife Fletcher has put in his back, he will stab Fletcher right back.

Harley Cameron beats Tatevik Hunanyan.

We hear backstage from "The Protostar" Kyle Fletcher, who says that he enjoys dropping people on their head while looking like a million bucks and doing it to Will Ospreay. He says Ospreay sees their steel cage match as some sort of stepping stone, but he could not be more wrong. Fletcher says Ospreay has always stood in the way of achieving his destiny, and when all is said and done, he will be remembered as the best of all time while Ospreay will only be remembered as his greatest rival. He says that United Empire was a facade that only allowed Ospreay to stroke his own ego, and in the steel cage, Ospreay will be in a lion's den and he will be hungry for revenge. Fletcher says the fans' chants will mean nothing when he leaves the steel cage red with Ospreay's blood, and that the pain Ospreay has inflicted on him over the years will be returned over a thousandfold. He then tells Ospreay that he asked for this.

Undisputed Kingdom (Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong) beat The Infantry ("The Captain" Shawn Dean and "Bad News and Tattoos" Carlie Bravo).

We hear from Don Callis and "The Alpha" Konosuke Takeshita. Callis says life is good since he and Takeshita got together and that Kenny Omega will not ruin that ride. He says that Revolution will be Omega's last match, as Takeshita will not only beat him, but end him.

We hear backstage from Jon Moxley. Moxley says he and Adam Copeland have a lot in common on how they came up in the business and that they are the last of a dying breed, then says the dream of championship gold is what drives Copeland. Copeland says he wants one more chance to play the game and does not want to give it up for anything, and that it is all about respect. Moxley admits he does not get what Copeland is about, and that when Copeland hears his spine breaking, he will feel what respect feels like.

Hologram beats Dralistico and extends his win streak to 17-0. After the match, Hologram is attacked by The Beast Mortos, who tries to rip at Hologram's mask, and Komander runs into the ring to make the save. Dralistico soon takes Alex Abrahantes hostage, and that allows Mortos to club Komander from behind. Mortos tries to tear at Komander's mask as Dralistico throws Abrahantes into the barricade.

Backstage, FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) and Daniel Garcia talk with Undisputed Kingdom (Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong). Wheeler says that emotions ran high recently and apologizes, but Harwood says that he is only apologize for stooging himself off to the referee. O'Reilly says they should have a rematch, to which FTR agrees. Adam Cole says he wants a rematch with Garcia for the TNT Championship, but he will have to wait and see if Garcia is still champion first.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews The Hurt Syndicate (MVP, Shelton Benjamin, Bobby Lashley). MVP says The Outrunners (Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd) are entertaining and are about making the fans feel good, but The Hurt Syndicates are about violent, savage entertainment and want to make the fans gasp. He says The Outrunners are underdogs and that the fans identify with them because they are also underdogs, then says Shelton and Lashley have only been top dogs and they will make the underdogs suffer and hurt them badly. MVP says that when a dog is suffering, the dog is put down.

Before the next match, "Smart" Mark Sterling states that The Premier Athletes (Tony Nese and Ariya Daivari) should be the team going for the AEW World Tag Team Championships and not The Outrunners (Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd). He then gives the Sacramento, California fans a chance to be on their team and state that The Premier Athletes rule, but gets told that they suck.

The Outrunners (Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd) beat The Premier Athletes (Tony Nese and Ariya Daivari) despite the brief distraction by The Hurt Syndicate (MVP, Shelton Benjamin, Bobby Lashley).

We see footage of "Timeless" Toni Storm at the red carpet event for Queen of the Ring, where Toni is suddenly smacked by "The Glamour" Mariah May, who is held back by security.

We see a video package for MxM Collection (Mason Maden and Mansoor) and Johnny TV vs. The Conglomeration (Mark Briscoe and Orange Cassidy) and Big Boom AJ at Revolution.

"Daddy Magic" Matt Menard guests on commentary for the next match.

Daniel Garcia retains the TNT Championship against "Taiga Style" Lee Moriarty after escaping the Border City Stretch and hitting the piledriver. After the match, the rest of Shane Taylor Promotions surrounds the ring, but Undisputed Kingdom (Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong) shows up and stands alongside Garcia to get them to back off.

We hear from Kenny Omega, who gives "The Alpha" Konosuke Takeshita credit for doing everything he could to get to him, and says that he still remembers giving him all that advice. He says that Takeshita thinks Don Callis can take him to the top of the mountain, but asks what happens if he does not. He wonders if Callis will toss Takeshita aside like he did him, then tells Takeshita that he has his one shot at Revolution to prove that he can take that top spot and be the best on the planet. Omega tells Takeshita that he is facing "the god of professional wrestling" at Revolution.
