Collision Course - Collision recap for April 20, 2024

Adam Copeland, Mark Briscoe and Eddie Kingston beat Top Flight (Darius and Dante Martin) and Action Andretti in a trios match. After the match, Buddy Matthews and Brody King appear on the video screen after the arena goes dark, and Matthews declares that in 24 hours, The House of Black will eradicate all their dreams at Dynasty. Malakai Black shows up on the screen and says that The House will dig so deep until they reach Copeland's darkest fears and make him wonder if he feels close to Hell, as for people like them, Hell is where the heart is. Brody King barks.

Don Callis guests on commentary for the next match.

Powerhouse Hobbs beats CJ Esparza. After the mach, Don Callis says that his family is the talk of professional wrestling, and that he will not be at ringside for tonight's Bunkhouse Match. He addresses Powerhouse Hobbs taking on Jon Moxley for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship, and talks about how he was directly responsible for Kenny Omega winning that title back in 2017 as well as Omega vs. "The Painmaker" Chris Jericho at the Tokyo Dome in 2018, which is so successful that New Japan Pro Wrestler has ridden on the success of the match to this day. He then says that he has returned the favor for New Japan Pro Wrestling, and has made Hobbs vs. Moxley for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship, which will come home to the Don Callis Family.

We hear from Chris Jericho, who apologizes to Hook, Taz and the fans for his conduct on Dynamite and causing Hook to lose his cool after he put his hands on Taz, saying he would have done the same thing in Hook's shoes. He says he will take Hook up on his offer to show how good he is, and that the learning tree will teach Hook a humiliating lesson in humility. He says he wants to make Hook a better wrestler and a better person, and while he will beat Hook for the FTW Championship, it will hurt him a lot more than it will hurt Hook.

Before the next match, Tony Schiavone announces that if The Gunns (Austin and Colten Gunn) walk out on tonight's match, then Bullet Club Gold (Austin, Colten, "Switchblade" Jay White) will not have a match at Dynasty. Austin is about to walk out on the match when he gets tossed into the ring by Anthony Bowens.

The Gunns (Austin and Colten Gunn) beat The Acclaimed ("Platinum" Max Caster and Anthony Bowens) after Colten Gunn gets Max Caster in a sit-down pin and grabs onto "Switchblade" Jay White's golden baseball bat for leverage.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews "The American Dragon' Bryan Danielson. Danielson says he has a lot going on this weekend, but he feels alive. He says that The Don Callis Family is up to something and that Don Callis does not have the faith in Will Ospreay that he thinks he does. He also says he fels alive after "The Alpha" Konosuke Takeshita dropped hm on his head on the ramp, and tonight, he gets revenge in a Bunkhouse Brawl. He then says that he will face Will Spreay at Dynasty and see first-hand if he is as good as he says he is. Will Ospreay shows up and says he has nothing to do with happened on last week's Dynamite or Collision and that he wants him at 100%, to which Danielson replies "Sure," and walks off.

In footage from after Dynamite, we see "Timeless" Toni Storm live and in living color as Toni Storm shows what Thunder Rosa has done to her. Toni warns Thunder Rosa that if she wants to be a hero or a martyr and rally up the troops, then there is nothing more disgusting than a wrestler who says they are not selfish. She says that this is a business, not a charity, and if Thunder Rosa wants to uplift worker, then she should have stayed a social worker. She says Thunder Rosa is a fighter, but she is a star, and that Thunder Rosa wants the AEW Women's World Championship back not because she once held it, but because of everything that she has made the belt to be when Thunder Rosa couldn't. Toni says the belt shines in her reflection and that it smells because she sniffs it, and that Thunder Rosa basks in the glow of the sun that shines right out of her ass. She says that if Thunder Rosa wants to drag her to Hell, then she had better check the address, because Hell is in her bedroom and she makes love to her demons "every bloody night," and at Dynasty, Thunder Rosa can just watch.

The Blackpool Combat Club (Claudio Castagnoli and "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson) beats The Don Callis Family (Kyle Fletcher and "The Alpha" Konosuke Takeshita) in a Bunkhouse Brawl after Powerhouse Hobbs shows up and gets involved in the match only for Jon Moxley to get involved and Danielson beats Fletcher with a Lebell Lock with a chain. After the match, Danielson says he had a lot of people ask him why he did this match before facing Will Ospreay tomorrow night, and says that when he thinks of Heaven, he does not think of streets of gold or 40 virgins, he thinks of standing in a wrestling ring bleeding in front of everyone while a whole group of people try to break his neck and cannot do it. He then tells Will Ospreay that he will kick his ass.

Backstage, we hear from Kris Statlander, Willow Nightingale and Stokely Hathaway. Kris says that they are fired up, which is long for "F.U." Stokely says "F.U." means something completely different and says "F.U." to Brody King and Julia Hart. Willow asks if a confident champion takes a chain and hits their opponent days before their championship match, and says she has Julia's number this time. She says that she will powerbomb Julia through the mat and take her back to the shadow realm she came room, then says she is walking out champion at Dynasty before calling Julia a bitch.

Skye Blue beats "Legit" Leyla Hirsch with a modified Dragon Sleeper after Leyla accidentally falls off the top rope while going for a springboard move.

PAC and FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) beat The Elite (Nicholas Jackson, Matthew Jackson, "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada) in a trios match. After the match, The Elite go on the attack, then Daniel Garcia runs into the ring to help PAC and FTR. THe post-match brawl ends with PAC putting Okada in a submission hold and The Young Bucks (Nicholas and Matthew Jackson) having to pull Okada out of the ring to save him.
