WrestleMania 40, Night One - The LIVE Results

We are introduced to the Spanish announce team of Marcelo Rodriguez and Jerry Soto.

Motionless in White perform "Demon In Your Dreams" as Rhea Ripley makes her way to the ring.



Rhea Ripley retains the Women's World Championship against Becky Lynch after slipping out of a Super Manhandle Slam, hitting Riptide into the turnbuckles and hitting it again in the ring for the win.



The team of Grayson Waller and Austin Theory and The Awesome Truth (The Miz and R-Truth) beat #DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa), New Catch Republic (Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne), The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) and The Judgment Day (Finn Balor and Damian Priest) in a 6-Pack Ladder Match for the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championships, with both winning teams winning the seperate halves of the combined tag team titles. For the first time since their combination, both the Raw and SmackDown tag titles are defended separately. Grayson Waller and Austin Theory become the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions, and The Awesome Truth win the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships.





Team USA Olympic Gold Medalist Jordan Burroughs is seen in the front row.

Rey Mysterio and Andrade beat Santos Escobar and "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio with the help to two men in Rey masks who attack Dominik and throw him into the ring. The two men unmask and reveal themselves as Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson of the Philadelphia Eagles.



Lil Wayne briefly performs before "Main Event" Jey Uso shows up for the next match.



"Main Event" Jey Uso beats Jimmy Uso despite Jimmy faking begging for forgiveness in an attempt to beat him.

Four women dressed as geisha toss cherry blossoms on the stage as Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai, Asuka, Kairi Sane) head to the ring for the next match. Meanwhile, Jade Cargill, Naomi and Bianca Belair arrive on a platform that lowers its way onto the ramp.

Jade Cargill, Bianca Belair and Naomi beat Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai, Asuka, Kairi Sane) in a six-woman tag match.



Backstage, Sami Zayn speaks with his wife and son before speaking with Chad Gable. Gable tells Sami he will be out there alone, saying he's got Gunther, and that he owes him a favor. On the way to the ring, Sami runs into Kevin Owens, who hugs him to tells him to go do it.

Sami Zayn beats Gunther to become a four-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, ending Gunther's record breaking reign at 666 days after booting Gunther at the top rope with a Helluva Kick, nailing him with a brainbuster onto the top turnbuckle and hitting him with two more Helluva Kicks to win the title.





Raw General Manager Adam Pearce and SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis thanks the fans for watching tonight's event and making it the biggest WrestleMania of all time. It is announced that tonight that 72,543 people have attended tonight's show.

George Kittle of the San Francisco 49ers, Vanessa Hudgens, Wale and Druski are seen in the front row.

The Rock shows up with a special "Final Boss" entrance as well as Muhammad Ali's People's Championship handed to him by Lonnie Ali at the 2024 WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony on his way to the ring before the next match.



Roman Reigns and The Rock beat "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes and Seth "Freakin'" Rollins, making Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship a "Bloodline Rules" Match after The Rock hits Cody in the back with a weight belt as Cody goes for three Cross Rhodes on Roman. (Had Cody and Rolins won, the match would have been strictly one-on-one.)
