Dijak beats Tony D'Angelo after Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo tries to take a bullet for D'Angelo and D'Angelo refuses.
Mackenzie Mitchell interviews Toxic Attraction (Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolin). Jacy Jayne says that they will win the women's battle royal and get vengeance on Roxanne Perez, and Gigi Dolin says that they will take their anger out on all the women in the match. When asked what will happen if they are the last two men standing, Dolin says they will both be the winners of the battle royal.
Before the next match, Sanga tells The Creed Brothers (Julius and Brutus Creed) that Veer Mahaan is not here and that he will honor their match as a two-on-one handicap match. As Julius Creed questions Veer's honor, he and Brutus Creed are attcked from behind by Jinder Mahal. The Creed Brothers are soon laid out, and Jinder Mahal says that while Veer and Sanga fight for respect, he does not.
Backstage, Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson and Elton Prince) are met by The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods), who tell them that the previous match did not happen and that they are up next.
Backstage, Jinder Mahal and Sanga converse when Valentina Feroz confronts Sanga and asks him if this is the real him, Sanga says it is about him and his brothers and leaves. Elektra Lopez tells Valentina that Sanga is now all about himself and that she should be too starting with the women's battle royal tonight.
Before the next match, Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson and Elton Prince) say that The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) consider them unworthy of the NXT tag team titles, and that they will go through three of the best team to prove themselves. The Rockers' theme hits, but two unknown wrestlers show up instead. Pretty Deadly go through the team easily, then The New Day show up. Kofi says they knew they would do this and will not let them get away with this, and says they have two top teams for them to face, starting with Edris Enofe and Malik Blade.
Gallus (Mark Coffey and Wolfgang) beat "The Rockers," the team of Malik Blade and Edris Enofe and Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson and Elton Prince) to win a tag team gauntlet match. Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen were supposed to be the third team, but it is revealed that they have been attacked backstage, and Mark Coffey and Wolfgang show up - their suspension now lifted - to take their place and decimate Pretty Deadly in short order.
Backstage, Julius Creed tells Ivy Nile that he is tired of getting jumped all the time and that he needs to send a message to Jinder Mahal. Ivy tells Julius that he should be with his brother, but Julius says there is no moving on from Indus Sher (Veer Mahaan and Sanga).
In footage from earlier today at the Sunrise Diner, we hear from Carmelo Hayes, who says that Apollo Crews found out that he is the past, present and future as he writes in his own diary. We then hear from Trick Williams, who says that he and Carmelo are about to reach legend status. Carmelo says that Apollo can look out the window and write in his journal all he wants, and Trick says all he and Carmelo have to do is speak it.
We see a New Year's Eve ball drop, then Tiffany Stratton make her first appearance in months. Tiffany asks the fans how badly they missed her, and says every single woman in the locker room is sweating like a disgusting pig because he is back. She says she cannot blame the women's locker room for feeling so inferior, for she is a revelation who has picked up the business better than any other woman and she has watched every single woman fail at replacing her for the last five months. She says nobody has her shine, skill or style, and now, 2023 can officially begin, because the center of the universe is back.
Backstage, Katana Chance and Kayden Carter make it known they want to be the longest-reigning tag team champions in NXT history, and Tiffany Stratton refuses an interview as she gets in her car.
Bron Breakker retains the NXT Championship against Grayson Waller by count-out. During the match, one of the middle turnbuckles comes off when Waller sends Breakker into it. The turnbuckle gets repaired, but near the end of the match, Waller walks on it only for the turnbuckle to come apart again. Waller drops to the outside, and he cannot get back into the ring in time.
Backstage, Mackenzie Mitchell interviews Roxanne Perez, who says she looks forward to anyone but Cora Jade winning the women's battle royal, then says the women's division is talented and that anyone could win it.
Backstage, Apollo Crews sees what Carmelo Hayes has to say to him when Axiom shows up. Apollo says Carmelo Hayes will not let him hear the end of it, and Axiom says Trick Williams is still annoying. Apollo and Axiom then team up to take on Carmelo and Trick.
Charlie Dempsey beats Hank Walker by submission.
Backstage, Sol Ruca is met by Alba Fyre, who says that she owes her a one-on-one match, but when Sol Ruca says she owes her nothing, Fyre suddenly insists on it, and Sol Ruca accepts. Fyre suddenly comes to her senses as if something else is on her mind, then says she will see Sol Ruca next week.
We see a video package for Tyler Bate. Tyler Bate returns to NXT next week.
We see another video from "NXT Anonymous," which shows Scrypts leaving a message in Oro Mensah's bag.
Jinder Mahal beats Julius Creed following the distraction from Sanga.
Backstage, Fallon Henley and Kiana James talk with Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen about the attack on them. Jensen says that Gallus attacked them because of their Pub Rules Match from months ago, then Fallon and Kiana head to the ring.
We see a vignette for Stevie Turner.
Toxic Attraction (Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne) both win the 20-woman battle royal for a shot at the NXT Women's Championship after both women eliminate each other on the outside part of the corner and land at the same time. After the match, Roxanne Perez stares down Toxic Attraction from across the aisle.
Backstage, "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels meets with Bron Breakker and Grayson Waller and officially makes an NXT Championship rematch in a steel cage for NXT Vengeance Day.
