After Dark Elevation - AEW Dark Elevation recap for January 30, 2023

Red Velvet beats Billie Starkz.

In backstage footage from earlier today, Lexy Nair interviews Athena, who takes the microphone and tells Lexy to leave when dissatisfied with her tag team partner for tonight. She soon runs into Diamante, who reminds Athena of the time she kicked her head in the last time they were in the ring when Athena asks her to be her tag team partner. Athena tells her that if they win, she will give her a future opportunity at the Ring of Honor Women's World Championship. Diamante accepts.

The Dark Order (Alex Reynolds and John Silver) beat The Workhorsemen (JD Drake and Anthony Henry).

Rush beats Brian Pillman Jr., then continues to attack him after the match with a cable.

Yuka Sakazaki and Skye Blue beat Diamante and Athena.

Before the next match, "Smart" Mark Sterling says there is a law in Kentucky that states that every citizen must shower once a year, and that there are a lot of people in the crowd braking the law. He also announces that Ari Daivari has offered to purchase a bar of soap and that said bar of soap in under their chairs, then says that everyone who checked is guilty and that he has alerted the authorities.

Top Flight (Darius and Dante Martin) beat "The Premier Athlete" Tony Nese and Ari Daivari.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Yuka Sakazaki. The Dark Order (Evil Uno, Alex Reynolds, John Silver) show up and asks Yuka to join The Dark Order. Yuka responds with "Hai" every single time.

The House of Black (Malakai Black and Brody King) beat Turbo Floyd and Truth Magnum.

Claudio Castagnoli retains the Ring of Honor World Championship against Blake Christian by submission with the Giant Swing.
