Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for January 19, 2021

In footage from last Saturday, Don Callis congratulates Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) on their win at Hard To Kill before heading to the hotel. After Omega and The Good Brothers leave, Callis addresses the fans. He says that Omega and The Good Brothers are already planning what is next, then says he will be taking a hiatus and "taking care of business in Jacksonville," before making a return.

Eric Young beats Rhino with the Figure Four Leg Lock after Joe Doering slam's Rhino's leg into the ring post. After the match, Young refuses to let go of the hold, and Violent By Design (Young, Joe Doering, Deaner) wraps a chair around Rhino's leg. Doering stomps the chair while Deaner takes down and holds down Cousin Jake.

In footage from last Saturday, Moose throws Rich Swann into a door, then tells him he has kept his promise of being the best teammate he ever had, and now that the match is over, the Impact World Championship will be his soon. We then hear from Swann, who says that he is tired of the games and that he is giving Moose a chance to prove he is the real world's champion tonight.

Backstage, Acey Romero meets with Tommy Dreamer and shows Dreamer the bottle of Ring Rust, and says that whoever had it turned Larry D into "Lawrence D" before stating that only one set of fingerprints was on both the bottle and the gun.

The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) show up. Anderson asks Gallows how many more times they have to continue proving that they are the draw of the entire wrestling world as he talks about how they set the wrestling world on fire Saturday and made headlines. Gallows says this is what they do and why they are the placeholders of the industry, and that they will keep the Impact World Tag Team Championships as long as they please. Suddenly, Chris Sabin shows up. Sabin says that while he knows The Good Brothers want to treat Impact like their own personal tour bus, he cannot tell if they are drunk or stupid, as The Motor City Machine Guns were not pinned when they lost the tag titles. Sabin demands a tag team title rematch, but Gallows tells him he has no business doing so because he has no tag team partner, but Sabin says he has a partner who knows a lot about tag team wrestling: "The Cowboy" James Storm. Storm introduces himself to The Good Brothers, then says he and Sabin want the tag team titles and tells them to put up or shut up. Suddenly, Matt Hardy and Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy) - members of the All Elite Wrestling roster - show up. After talking about their six-man tag team match against Matt Sydal and Top Flight (Darius and Dante Martin) tomorrow night on Dynamite, he announces that he has brought Private Party in for a warm-up match. Storm tells Matt Hardy this was a private conversation, not a private party, but Hardy says everyone else should be praising him for putting Impact Wrestling on his back and saved it from bankruptcy in 2016, and also mentions how he and Jeff Hardy lost the tag team titles in a "teleportation gone wrong" angle. He then says the warm-up match should be against The Good Brothers, and after mentioning how he and Jeff Hardy lost the tag titles, Gallows says Private Party and the team of Sabin and Storm should fight it out to see who faces them for the tag titles. Matt Hardy then says he will get his lawyers to meet with Impact's lawyers to make it official, then tells Private Party that they must get vicious and get the win.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Matt Cardona. Cardona says he has been asked why he is in Impact Wrestling, and says he wants an opportunity after making the most of opportunities throughout his career, and that he wants to prove himself and his fans right.

Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy) vs. Chris Sabin and "The Cowboy" James Storm is official for later tonight.

We see a video package of Fire and Flava (Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz) winning the Impact Knockouts Tag Team Championships.

Backstage, Fire and Flava (Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz) meet up with Kaleb with a K and Tenille Dashwood. Suddenly, Johnny Swinger interrupts, and all three of them are confronted by Fallah Bahh, who knows that Swinger stole his money from Fire and Flava, who stole the money from him. Suddenly, Brian Myers shows up on an elevator and is not interested in what Fire and Flava is selling. Myers then confronts Fallah Bahh, which leads to a match between the two.

Kimber Lee and Susan beat Jordynne Grace and Jazz after Deonna Purrazzo hits Jazz in the back of the head with the Impact Knockouts Championship behind the referee's back.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Taya Valkyrie when John E. Bravo confronts her, saying she sprayed Larry D with Ring Rust. Suddenly, Tommy Dreamer and Acey Romero show up, and Taya fesses up, saying she never supported Bravo's relationship with Rosemary. After Taya regrets that John E. Bravo didn't die and states that John E. Bravo is useless, she is hauled off. (As Taya is carried away by security, Tommy Dreamer, Acey Romero and John E. Bravo joke that Taya might do time in Jacksonville, Florida; Stanford, Connecticut or Baltimore, Maryland - references to All Elite Wrestling, WWE and Ring of Honor respectively.) Rosemary scares security away and confronts Taya for her behavior. Taya says she does not regret having Rosemary as a friend regardless of what happens. Taya is hauled off, and Crazzy Steve shows up. Rosemary says this is why she does not have friends, as it never works out. After Rosemary asks if this frightens Steve, Steve says this excites him. (This ends up being Taya Valkyrie's last appearance in Impact Wrestling, as her contract has expired.)

We hear from Tony Schiavone, who takes it to Tony Khan and Jerry Lynn. Khan says he and Jerry will be watching closely as Matt Hardy and Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy) appear on tonight's show. Khan puts Private Party on a pedestal, then Tony Schiavone runs down the card for tomorrow night's episode of Dynamite. Afterwards, Khan says Matt Hardy is at Impact because he asked him to be there and that he expects results. It is then revealed that Jerry Lynn and Tony Khan are in the arena right now.

Rich Swann shows up. Swann says he felt the pressure of being Impact World Champion and leading the company into war at Hard To Kill, saying he lives and thrives off that pressure and that he, Chris Sabin and Moose left their hearts in the ring. He admits he had some trust issues with Moose given what all Moose has done, but that his attention was on Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson). Now that Moose has his attention, he wants him to get in the ring so they can settle things. Moose shows up and reminds Swann that people make bad decisions when they are angry and that those decisions tend to make him angry, then says nothing between them will be settled until he gets a World title shot. Swann then gives Moose a World title shot right then and there, but Moose says he says when they will go at it because Swann is on his time. Swann asks what they will do now before starting a brawl. After punching Moose in the face, Swann tears Moose's shirt and hits a few chops before dodging a tackle in the corner and hitting a Phoenix Splash.

Backstage, Scott D'Amore meets with Rohit Raju, then TJP shows up with the X Division Championship. Rohit Raju then wants an opportunity at the X Division title, and gets it in two weeks' time. Rohit takes the match and leaves. After Rohit leaves, Scott D'Amore asks TJP if he should tell Rohit the match is a non-title match.

Backstage, Fire and Flava (Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz) try to do business with Alisha Edwards. They then spot referee Brandon Tolle and try to get money out of him for their championship celebration when Havok and Neveah show up. Fire and Flava tell them to go home and watch the championship celebration, then leave.

Brian Myers beats Fallah Bahh with a kick to the groin following an inadvertent eye poke from Fallah Bahh.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Ace Austin and Madman Fulton. Austin says what happened at Hard To Kill was a tragedy, as he was forced to sit on a countdown show panel and comment on a match, and says "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander's time as a tag team champion is done and that Alexander should fade into the background. Ace Austin also shows his disgust with having to face Matt Cardona instead of taking part in the X Division Championship match. Suddenly, Alexander shows up and says he will make sure Austin will not reach his potential and that opportunities are earned. After Alexander shoves Austin, Fulton grabs Alexander from behind. As Austin is about to punch Alexander, Matt Cardona shows up and beats up Austin, forcing Austin and Fulton to retreat.

Backstage, a trainer tends to Eddie Edwards and tells him not to do barbed wire matches anymore. Suddenly, Brian Myers demands the doctor tend to his poked eye while calling Eddie "a backyarder." Eddie then challenges Myers to a match next week to show him what a professional wrestler and professional wrestling is really like.

Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy) beat Chris Sabin and "The Cowboy" James Storm. During the match, Tony Khan and Jerry Lynn are seen watching the match from behind the guardrail, with Tony Khan taking notes. Later in the match, Jerry Lynn climbs over the guardrail and grabs Chris Sabin's leg while Matt Hardy distracts referee Brian Hebner, allowing Private Party to hit Gin and Juice for the win. After the match, The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) show up to have a stand-off with Private Party, then all three teams brawl with one another to end the show.
