Finn Balor is in the ring. He says that Kyle O'Reilly is now having his food through a straw and that he put an X on his chest because he knows he is a target. After stating that they stopped making the cloth he is cut from as he dares anyone to step up, Pete Dunne, Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch show up. Pete Dunne says he saw what Finn Balor did to Kyle O'Reilly and that the only reason Finn is NXT Champion is because he hasn't taken the title yet. After Dunne proclaims that he is not waiting anymore, Lorcan and Burch attack Finn and eventually overpower them. As Dunne, Lorcan and Burch target Finn's arm, Kyle O'Reilly runs into the ring, but he is overpowered until Adam Cole and Roderick Strong run into the ring and chase Dunne, Lorcan and Burch out.
Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Johnny Gargano, who says that Candice LeRae's win from earlier was beautiful before stating he will beat Dexter Lumis tonight as The Way (Gargano, Candice, Indi Hartwell, Austin Theory) win the men and women's Dusty Cups. Suddenly, Austin Theory gives Johnny Gargano a message from Dexter Lumis, which is a few drawings making fun of Gargano and Theory.
Before the next match, Zack Gibson says he and James Drake are looking for more than just another invite to the finals before saying he feels sorry for all the other teams and the fans waiting for an upset, as 2021 is Grizzled Young Veterans' (Gibson and Drake) year. Also before the next match, General Manager William Regal declares that the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Championships have officially begun.
Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson and James Drake) beat Ever-Rise (Chase Parker and Matt Martel) to advance to the next round of the men's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
We hear from Raquel Gonzalez, who calls Rhea Ripley "just a bad memory we are all trying to forget" after beating her in a Last Woman Standing Match as she proclaims she is looking ahead to Io Shirai and the NXT Women's title and that she is the new baddest bitch in town.
Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Shotzi Blackheart, who says that she has her eyes on history in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic despite her loss tonight, and says that she needs a "ride or die." Ember Moon shows up and says that this is an opportunity to make history, and confirms she will be Shotzi's tag team partner as she states that they will go through all the other tag teams and put their names on the Dusty Cup.
Johnny Gargano beats Dexter Lumis with a roll-up after Lumis puts Austin Theory in Silence for his repeated interference. After the match, Dexter locks Silence in on Theory again, but Gargano stomps Lumis in the back. Before Gargano can strike Lumis with a steel chair, KUSHIDA shows up and fights Gargano and Theory. KUSHIDA has Gargano in the Hoverboard Lock as Lumis locks in Silence on Theory, then KUSHIDA makes it known to Gargano that he will beat him for the NXT North American Championship.
Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Pete Dunne, Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch. Burch says they run NXT, not The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong), and Dunne says Kyle O'Reilly got in the way of the NXT title and that is time to take O'Reilly out of the way.
In footage from earlier today, Wade Barrett interviews Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher. Thatcher says he is now medically cleared, and Ciampa says that while the Fight Pit may be a mistake, he is still ready to change the culture in NXT. On the subject of their animosity, Ciampa calls Thatcher the coach top-notch but calls Thatcher the wrestler a piece of garbage, and says he is ready to take him down. Thatcher says Ciampa is questioning if he's still "got it," but Ciampa tells him he will soon get his answer.
Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong). Adam Cole says that they have dealt with many dangerous and have taught many people a lesson. Strong stands with Cole, while O'Reilly says he is here to keep the peace. Cole says that while they have respect for Breezango, they will beat them and advance in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
MSK (Nash Carter and Wes Lee) beat Isaiah "Swerve" Scott and Jake Atlas in their debut NXT match to advance in the men's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. (Nash Carter is formerly known as Zachary Wentz, while Wes Lee is formerly known as Dezmond Xavier. Both have come to NXT from Impact Wrestling, where they were two-thirds of The Rascalz with Trey Miguel, which all three men departed from in November.)
We see who will be in the women's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, which begins next week when Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Cater will take on Toni Storm and Mercedez Martinez in the first round.
Xia Li is up next!
We hear from Scarlett, who is using tarot cards while mentioning how Karrion Kross took out Damian Priest and is now wanting to dance with Finn Balor. We then hear the words "Tick tock" from Kross himself.
Xia Li quickly beats an unnamed opponent in seconds. After the match, Xia Li attacks her opponent again.
We hear from Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter, who look forward to being the winners of the first women's Dusty Cup. They say they are used to being overlooked, and Kayden tells the rest of the participants to keep overlooking them so they can shock the world.
In footage from the commercial break, referees have to keep Isaiah" Swerve" Scott away from Jake Atlas, and Bronson Lee has to tell Swerve to cool it.

The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole and Roderick Strong) beat Breezango (Tyler Breeze and Fandango) to advance in the men's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. During the match, Pete Dunne, Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch show up and gang up on Kyle O'Reilly when Finn Balor goes after Dunne, Lorcan and Burch only to be overpowered. This distracts Adam Cole, but despite Breezango's best efforts, Cole hits Fandango with a superkick as Fandango comes down from the top rope to get the win for The Undisputed Era.
