TJP beats Christopher Guy. General Manager Drake Maverick is seen watching the match from backstage. After the match, Dasha Fuentes interviews TJP, who says that he wasn't just the first Cruiserweight Champion, he is the best champion and the best technical wrestler in the world. He also says he brought back cruiserweight wrestling and that he carried the division on his back. He then says that if this is the best competition General Manager Drake Maverick has to offer, then it explains exactly what 205 Live management thinks of him.
We see footage from earlier today where Vic Joseph interviews Cedric Alexander. Cedric says he is dealing with his championship reign one day at the time, and that the pressure is nothing to him now as it is just another day at the office. He has all the support he needs and there is no way he will fail next week in front of his friends and family. As for Buddy Murphy, he had to make weight just like he did to stay in the division, and that maintaining that weight drains one's stamina, and he believes Murphy hasn't figured that out yet. He praises the Cruiserweight Division for its athletic diversity, but says he is champion because he is well-rounded and then some, and that he will remind Buddy Murphy of just that.
Dasha Fuentes interviews Akira Tozawa backstage. Tozawa says Hideo is a legend, and that he always respected him. However, Hideo did not respect him, and if Hideo does not like him as a tag team partner, he will not like him as an opponent.
