General Manager Mick Foley is in the ring to start tonight's show. After hyping the main event of Roman Reigns vs. Kevin Owens tonight, he switches the focus to the Raw Women's Division and introduces Charlotte, who shows up with Dana Brooke. Charlotte says she owes an apology, but Dana Brooke says she says she doesn't. Charlotte says she wouldn't apologize to her, and that Dana should be the one apologizing for her performance last week. Charlotte commands Dana to apologize or else their friendship and her mentorship is over. Sasha Banks shows up, and says that she will be taking the Raw Women's Championship from Charlotte in two weeks. Bayley shows up, and says that she would love to see Sasha compete for the title tonight, but wants a title shot too after beating Charlotte last week. Sasha Banks tells Bayley to get in line, and Charlotte says neither woman deserves a shot. Foley says that none of the Divas dictates when a title shot happens. Dana comes up with the idea of a Best of Seven Series between Sasha Banks and Bayley, but Charlotte tells her to shut up before she slaps the taste out of her mouth. Foley makes a match between Sasha Banks and Bayley, with the winner facing Charlotte at Clash of Champions for the Raw Women's title. Charlotte blames this on Dana, and Dana responds by slapping Charlotte in the face. Foley then adds Dana Brooke to the match, making it a Triple Threat match...and the match happens next.

Dana Brooke meets up with Charlotte backstage, but Charlotte tells her to shut up and get her bags.
The Shining Stars (Primo and Epico) try to sell R-Truth on a timeshare in Puerto Rico, but Goldust puts a stop to that. Enzo Amore and Big Cass show up, and want a rematch after that grabbing of the tights from the last time they met. They get it.
Tom Phillips interviews Kevin Owens, who says that in two weeks, it won't be a Triple Threat and that he will walk out Universal champ at Clash of Champions. Chris Jericho shows up and says he's not happy that Kevin Owens is no longer guest on The Highlight Reel thanks to General Manager Mick Foley, but states that he has a new guest: Sami Zayn, whom he calls a stupid idiot.
Bo Dallas quickly beats Brandon Scott.
Chris Jericho shows up to host The Highlight Reel, and tonight's special guest is Sami Zayn, whom he introduces by putting the mic on the mat and laying down to speak into it as he calls Sami Zayn "the lowest of the low." Jericho wants to know what kind of man Sami Zayn is for breaking off his friendship with Kevin Owens, and says that Zayn has been the problem. Zayn tells Jericho that if he really thinks Kevin Owens is his best friend, then Jericho truly is a stupid idiot. Jericho says he's simply giving the fans the gift of Jericho, but Sami says that gift sucks and that Owens' gift is his true colors. He wants to know if there is any shred of the old Chris Jericho, as he calls Jericho, Dean Malenko and Eddie Guerrero inspirations to him and Owens and that Jericho is now relegated to being Owens' bitch. Jericho then tells Sami Zayn he got a text from Kevin Owens regarding what to expect from Sami, but when he goes to show the text to Sami, he ends up slapping Sami in the face and hitting him with a Codebreaker to end the segment.
Cesaro beats Sheamus after putting his foot on the rope as he puts Sheamus in a backslide pin after reversing the Celtic Cross.
Seth Rollins talks with Mick Foley. He has a bone to pick against Foley for putting Roman Reigns in the title picture, but Foley says Roman was as wronged as Seth. Seth just wants to get his hands on Kevin Owens and the Universal title, and he doesn't want any distractions, and says that maybe Stephanie McMahon should step in, but Mick Foley says that Stephanie is in a conference in Singapore, and says Stephanie does not have it out for Seth. Seth questions Foley's loyalties, especially to Stephanie, and when he says that he will take matters into his own, it gets under Foley's skin as Foley feels his integrity is being questioned. Foley asks Seth not to interfere in the match between Roman and Owens. Seth calls Foley a fool for "being in Stephanie's pocket."
Seth Rollins vs. Chris Jericho is official for Clash of Champions as per General Manager Mick Foley.
Tom Phillips interviews Nia Jax, who says she's simply going to beat the crap out of Alicia Fox.
Nia Jax vs. Alicia Fox ends when Nia knocks Alicia unconscious after Spearing her through a barricade.
The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods0 show up. They say that Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson tried their hand at entertainment, but say that entertainment is their thing and warn everyone else not to touch their thing. After saying that the footage involving "The Old Day" has been burned and that it was five-and-a-half minutes of everyone's time wasted, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson show up and call out The New Day for pandering to the fans before stating that they will take the Raw tag titles from them at Clash of Champions.
Gallows & Anderson (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) beat The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods).
Tom Phillips interviews Roman Reigns. Roman Reigns is focused on the WWE Universal Championship, but he has to win his way to it first.
Before the next match, Jinder Mahal is announced as "the man that comes in peace," and says his absence has been due to finding inner peace. Before he can share that inner peace with the WWE Universe, Jack Swagger shows up and the next match begins.
Jinder Mahal - who still uses the same aggressive tactics he has used since returning to WWE - beats Jack Swagger.
Tom Phillips interviews Jack Swagger, saying that Swagger's contract with Raw expires soon. Swagger pants heavily, then just walks away.
Before the next match, Enzo Amore says that he isn't sweating The Shining Stars (Primo and Epico), and even goes so far as to tell them he might bury them with the hibiscus flowers they love tonight. The Shining Stars come out handing out brochures concerning Puerto Rico vacations to the crowd.
Epico beats Enzo Amore after Primo grabs Enzo's feet from outside the ring.

Kevin Owens runs into Seth Rollins backstage. Rollins tells Owens he wants him to win tonight so their match can stay one-on-one, and calls Triple H a coward before stating that he can't think of a better way to tear Owens into pieces. Owens assures Roman won't win, and calls owens out on Seth wanting him to do his work for him, saying that Seth has always been doing that since he left The Shield. He chalks Rollins' irritation with him up to Rollins being hurt that Triple H found someone better than him, then continues to call Rollins a failure by claiming that failing is all Rollins has done since he returned from injury while he won the WWE Universal Championship right away before saying that Rollins' slogan should be "Redesign, Rebuild, Replaced." General Manager Mick Foley shows up and tells Owens to stop with the insults. Owens leaves, then Foley tells Rollins not to interfere in the main event again.
Kevin Owens beats Roman Reigns by disqualification after Seth Rollins attacks Owens from behind at the entrance ramp. General Manager Mick Foley confronts Rollins, who is then escorted to the back. Foley then restarts the match, much to the chagrin of Kevin Owens.
Kevin Owens beats Roman Reigns in the restarted main event to keep Reigns out of the WWE Universal Championship match at Clash of Champions after Rusev returns for the first time in a few weeks to distract Roman Reigns, allowing Owens to hit the pop-up powerbomb for the win. After the match, Rusev puts Roman Reigns in the Accolade to end the show.
