Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for May 11, 2000

Before the next match, Gerald Brisco shows up and brags about splashing Buh Buh Ray Dudley through a table before saying he is a great wrestling champion and a great fighter for women's right, and that he will carry the torch for all the women in the World Wrestling Federation. He then introduces The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley)'s opponents: Trish Stratus and T&A (Test and Albert). Brisco walks Trish to ringside, then WWF co-owner Shane McMahon shows up and says he shares Brisco's sentiments and sensitivity towards women's rights, saying that his own sister, WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley, could have been one of the Dudleys' victims. Therefore, he stands with Brisco, and watches the match from ringside with him.

T&A (Test and Albert) beat The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley) after Shane McMahon pulls the referee out of the ring after the Dudley Death Drop and after D-Von sends Albert into Trish Stratus, who is knocked off the apron and into Gerald Brisco. After the match, Big Show goes after Shane, but end up choke slamming Test when Test gets involved.

Backstage, Big Show is seen hunting down Shane McMahon.

Chris Benoit beats The Godfather with the Crippler Crossface. After the match, Michael Cole interviews Benoit, and brings up his win against Chris Jericho. Benoit admits it did not look like Jericho tapped out to the Crippler Crossface and that he did not hear him say he quit, but he will guarantee all the Jerichoholics that he had no choice after his body went numb. He says that Triple H broke the hold because it was the only merciful thing left to do, because Jericho could not tap out or surrender. He then offers Jericho an opportunity at the WWF Intercontinental Championship at Judgment Day, with the only stipulation being that the match will be a Submission Match.

Backstage, Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit are seen brawling. Referees rush in to break the brawl up.

D-Generation X (Triple H, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James), Pat Patterson, Tori, WWF Chairman Vince McMahon and WWF co-owners Shane McMahon and Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley show up. Patterson says he has done a lot in his wrestling career, but tonight, he is a very proud man because of the Stinkface he gave Rikishi Phatu and because he was granted permission to book a match. He has booked a six-man tag team elimination match between X-Pac, Road Dogg and Triple H and Too Cool (Grandmasta Sexay, Scotty 2 Hotty, Rikishi). Shane puts Big Show in a handicap tag team tables match against The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley). Triple H says it was surprising to everyone but him that The Rock did not show up on Raw this week, and says it is because word leaked out that he would challenge him to a 60-minute Iron Man Match and that The Rock was too scared to face him (even though he is in Morocco filming The Mummy Returns). He then says that they will go face-to-face next week on Raw and that The Rock will have to answer his challenge and that it will be judgment day for The Rock. He says that as great as he is, The Rock will not be as great as he is and he will never be him, for he is not the shape he is in and does have the amount of heart that he has. At Judgment Day, he will prove he is that damn good and he will be WWF Champion. Vince says he understands that a number of fans feel that they were not fair to Chris Jericho, and says that is "too bad damn," saying that nothing in life is fair and that some people are born with inferior DNA, and that some of the fans might as well admit that "life sucks, and then you die."

Backstage, Chyna and Eddie Guerrero agree that she will take on Dean Malenko while Eddy will take on Perry Saturn after rock-paper-scissors and a coin toss both go awry.

It is announced that Chyna is featured in the newest edition of Talk Magazine.

Dean Malenko retains the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship against Chyna. During the match, Chyna inadvertently takes out referee Jack Doan, and Perry Saturn shows up to attack Eddie Guerrero before hitting Chyna with a vertical suplex after entertaining the idea of doing the same thing to Malenko.

At Pauli G's Cafe, The Big Boss Man and Bull Buchanan show up and bully some patrons.

In footage from earlier today, Edge and Christian give a kid an autograph, then charge him $5. Another fan gets a gets a photo with them, then Edge and Christian charge him $10 after Kevin Kelly takes the photo. Kevin Kelly is disgusted with their behavior as Christian says that the people in town have no idea what's going on and Edge says that this is the easiest money they've ever made.

Before the next match, Edge and Christian give the fans a few seconds for flash photography, then Edge says that he and Christian realize the fans really like and respect them. Unfortunately, they cannot garner that respect from the rest of the guys in the back. Christian tells Edge that he is right, and says it is not funny how the guys in the back looks at them with envy, anger and rage. He then says there is one man who shows them the respect that they deserve: Kurt Angle. Angle says it is true that he respects the both of them, and that he used to think that the only good things to come out of Canada were maple syrup and Michael J. Fox. He says that Edge and Christian "are role models for all of us" and says there are no better men to tag with to avenge his loss against Chris Jericho and "make this twisted world right once again."

Edge, Chrisian and Kurt Angle beat The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt Hardy) and Chris Jericho. During the match, Chris Benoit attacks Chris Jericho as the referee is pre-occupied with Matt Hardy, and Edge hits Jericho with a Spear. Jericho manages to kick out and tag Matt Hardy in, then runs up to Benoit and brawls with him on the stage while referees try to separate them. Christian hits Matt Hardy with the ring bell behind the referee's back to give himself, Edge and Angle the victory, then Angle runs to the stage to beat up Jericho along with Benoit.

Backstage, Edge, Christian and Kurt Angle celebrate their victory.

Hardcore Holly vs. British Bulldog for the WWF Hardcore Championship ends with Crash Holly winning the title. During the match, Crash Holly shows up with a referee and attacks both Hardcore Holly and Bulldog with a trash can lid to steal the Hardcore title from both men. After the match, Hardcore Holly slams Bulldog on a steel chair in the ring in frustration.

Backstage, Kevin Kelly interviews Pat Patterson, who brags about making Rikishi Phatu "hit skid row" while displaying the underwear with the "skid marks" in the center.

At Pauli G's Cafe, The Big Boss Man and Bull Buchanan nearly run out a patron who bets money that The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) can beat them while also mentioning that they ran away from The Acolytes on Raw.

The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley) beat Big Show in a 2-on-1 handicap Tables Match. During the match, WWF co-owner Shane McMahon shows up to get a closer look at the match from the ramp, and after the ramp, Shane sneaks up on Big Show to pound on him after trying to stay out of the sight of The Dudley Boyz. The Dudley Boyz see what is going on on the TitanTron and are about to pull a table out from underneath the ring when X-Pac and "Road Dogg" Jesse James attack them. Tori also gets a chance to slap the Dudleys in the process.

Backstage, The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) see footage of The Big Boss Man and Bull Buchanan at Pauli G's Cafe.

Eddie Guerrero retains the WWF European Championship against Perry Saturn after Chyna clocks Saturn with her bouquet of flowers - which is revealed after the match to contain a lead pipe - as the referee is dealing with Dean Malenko on the apron.

Jerry Toliver - the driver of the "The Rock" funny car from WWF Racing - is seen in the front row.

At Pauli G's Cafe, The Acolytes (Faarooq and Brashaw) show up and confront The Big Boss Man and Bull Buchanan, and this quickly leads to a brawl between both sides that ends in The Acolytes laying Boss Man and Buchanan out.

D-Generation X (Triple H, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James) beat Too Cool (Grandmasta Sexay, Scotty 2 Hotty, Rikishi Phatu) in a six-man elimination tag team match. During the match, referee Tim White is knocked out after Triple H uses him as a shield. While Tim White is down, The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley) show up and lay out X-Pac and Road Dogg with the Dudley Death Drop, allowing Rikishi to sit on X-Pac and Road Dogg to pin them simultaneously. Near the end of the match, Pat Patterson shows up with the pair of underwear with the "skid marks" on them and wipes the "skid marks" on Rikishi's face behind the referee's back. Rikishi beats up Patterson before shoving the dirty underwear in Triple H's face. WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley gets in the ring and confronts Rikishi, and when Patterson gets back in the ring and attacks Rikishi from behind, Rikishi crushes Stephanie in the corner, and Patterson gets attacked and Stinkfaced by Rikishi for his efforts. Stephanie is about to get a Stinkface when Triple H saves her and hits the Pedigree to get the win.
